it's just that signature weapons are important for 30-40% of the valk's personal damage usually. So not having that weapon means you won't use them for main dps at least.

in some cases the weapon might have important utility that the valk becomes more difficult to play without them or can't handle specific fight gimmicks without them

may you still consider JDS instead of Rita main dps if you're dealing with an abyss weather effect that buffs your physical damage but debuffs your lightning damage

we've only been talking about weapons so far but stigmata are important too. They're craftable in foundry if you didn't already get them from the gacha. 3pc effect is usually where the main team support effect is.

of course source prisms are very valuable. You don't get alot of them early on so don't spend them if you need them for rita or a future new release

if you don't already have them then you need 2 more per piece to craft.

it might just depend on the fight. I don't think sena loses too much without her weapon

the main perk to sena for a WoD team (thelema) is that sena can provide her main team support effects completely passively

so you don't need to ever swap her on field

(you might still do it in rare cases to quickly use her ult for quick damage but even less so without her weapon)

vita meanwhile does need to actually go on field and use her ult to support the team

hi3 is a much older game so its fundamentals are different despite having similarities. I would go as far to say you can run into costly mistakes trying to make conclusions based on other games

nothing to be sorry about. It's a common mistake. What's important is you are aware now

but anyway crit rate and crit damage do exist in this game but

you don't have as much fine control over your ratio in this game as you would in other games, and damage is much higher in priority for faster clears against competing scores from other players (every point can count).

if you have lacking crit rate, you usually would more opt to reset for better crit luck than to adjust your ratio

yeah elementals do not crit. that's a very common misconception

but also the things you control in this game are like... changing supports...

so you're working with globs of crit stats rather than any fine tuning

fine tuning does technically exist with affixes on stigmata, but those you always want more damage. So you never go for crit rate

and then there's some modern effects that straight up maxes out your crit rate if you have excess crit damage or vice versa

also the CRT stat that you see on your valk and crit rate are not the same thing, CRT is a stat that is used to calculate your actual crit rate but that's really just a technically. Afaik the crit rate affix is also miss translated and is actually only a CRT increase making it even less viable hence why you never really build it even on phys valks

you mainly lose out on the bottom part of this skill without sena's weapon

but if you have excess damage, you may still appreciate being able to stay on thelema more with sena in the back rather than needing to spend time on vita

if you're trying to figure it out for this abyss, i can only say to try out both ways

keep in mind vita's support effects are refreshed by stellar outburst which you can prepare back in time for phase 2. So vita should only go on field at the start of the fight

2k isn't too much in the grand scheme of things. up to you really

keep in mind when pulling for new valks you would want to prepare for both valk and weapon together

competitive in this game is against other players so every point can count

and not having weapon means you lose roughly 30-40% personal damage which is too big to ignore for a dps. Any modern gacha valk nowadays can operate as a dps or a support

Meta isn't everything though. If you're not interested in competitive or getting more crystals, and just want to enjoy stories and events, you won't need anything gacha related really

HLE and then two of Badum Paws HoHE. I’m inclined to say Badum paws assuming they’re all 4/4 since your HoHE is S rank but there’s unlikely to be a large damage gap

note you can also do another basic sequence in SO in part 1 before the finisher probably and save a few points

yeah the evade mechanics throughout the fight emphasizes thelema further. Not only is thelema more adept at evading mid attack to fill up raven's rage meter, but transition can let thelema farm a ton of evades which provides a lot of ARI and team sp

so i'll quickly explain the main things to know

• raven's rage meter fills upon her taking damage but also especially when evading her attacks. once full, she will interrupt you but you can respond with a counter (evade and attack in p1, or just attack in p2) to take off a chunk of damage, and also render her liftable and not continuing her attack sequence for a while.
  • it's not necessarily best to rush this if it will interrupt an important sequence so you can opt to control it getting filled sooner or later.
• in transition, the arrows are hittable targets while the birds are not. The intended objective is to parry to get 6 stacks (visible above your hp bar) by the end (getting hit will remove stacks) and doing so will reward you with an ARI drop and sp pack. But you may still make use of this transition period to farm (or refresh on-hit effects) as mentioned
  • generally speaking of any transition period, in some cases you may not care for the primary reward of the gimmick and instead pursue some other purposes

in this very old clip you can see at the end i let the 3 stacks expired, then parried the last one into 6 stacks. It doesn't make sense to me

unrelated but people do struggle at the evade spam. My advice is you do want to maintain a certain distance away from raven. You can evade sideways against the wall if you need to let her get ahead.

you can evade up to twice before it runs out. It only stays infinite as long as you're actually evading off of something. Jumps are separate from evades so save your double jump if you need it to recover from failing two evades

anyway that is getting a bit too advanced so i'll leave it at that for now. Focus more on learning thelema attacks in general and the general fight structure first.

anyway if you don't have any gacha astral ring units and it's an old account, maybe you would like to consider starting a brand new account for this game. You can still use the same email, but you'll be using a different hoyoverse account. For more details, check the rerolling guide in the pins.

The main benefit of doing this is you can reset any permanent crystals you already gained and spent, and also gain access to the starter manual for more crystals.

Restarting isn't for everyone though. It's ok if you don't want to restart for any reason.

SN is a purely physical dps

SI is a physical support that can also provide bleed status utility. She doesn't support bleed damage but that's irrelevant to SN anyway

CE is mainly actually a support for bleed damage. She doesn't benefit SN very much since SN doesn't deal actual bleed damage. Examples of bleed dps would be Lunar Vow or Valkyrie Quicksand.

• CE does provide slight phys and lightning buffs but you're better off using someone else. Maybe consider Terminal Aide (prometheus) and/or Herrscher of Sentience (Fu Hua).
  • Any physical team generally wants a long lasting impair. Your team currently lacks this. HoS does cover this and can be farmed from War Treasury shop.
• CE can function as a bleed physical dps but at that point you would probably drop SN.

Ultimately all valks mentioned here are out of date and NOT recommended to spend important resources on (crystals, honkai shards, source prisms). ||LV is the only exception since she'll get a new weapon next patch as per #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins||

Use Senti for impair if you have to continue using your physical teams. HoRebirth (HoRb) is the only other better choice.

You seem to be very fixated on very specific things like Fu Hua or glove users but bear in mind HI3 is a game where the meta emphasizes wide coverage. Abyss, where significant crystals are, constantlyh shifts across numerous scenarios. General recommendations are to focus on getting new releases when you can afford them fully (valk and weapon, roughly 40k crystals. Can get this amount every ~2 patches at worst) generally indiscriminately (some slight exceptions).

If you still want to focus on Fu Hua and Gloves, that's fine and we can advise more specifically.

this is abyss. For lower ranked captains, it's specifically called q manifold

This is the main meta mode of the game and a significant source of crystals. It opens twice a week from monday to wednesday, and thursday to sunday

everytime abyss opens, it changes its scenario (weather effect, bosses) so as to encourage people to use different things (early on you won't have much variety to use though. So stick with any newer gacha valks you have until you get more over time)

q manifold will change to something else if you choose to breakthrough at cap lv 80 but you're not there right now.

otherwise if you skipped the cutscene containing it without starting the cg itself, it's going to remain locked and you'll have to replay the mission again to unlock it for that collection menu.

Some story nodes may have a specific node for only the cg as well, so look out for those (not the case for 6-5, 6-6)

Be mindful of the total costs of what you're looking to get. A new valk with her weapon is roughly 40k crystals at worst. A separate weapon is roughly 17k. Pyramid outfit you should always plan 9600 crystals (tbh i'm not sure if ||HLE outfit will be this way yet||.

and be wary of banner durations too. ||The dkey will banner will be gone sooner than the new valk||

ofc i don't expect you to get unlucky on all banners, but i think what you're hoping to get is a far cry from what you have currently and can reasonably expect to prepare/save beforehand unless you're spending money. You might want to prioritize accordingly
