hi3 is a game where hoyo creates problems with bosses then sells a solution, usually meaning that there is one valkyrie that does exceptionally well on the boss designed for her and the second best option is usually significantly behind. This is why you can't compare a sd ice valk to a bio lightning valk. They have TOTALLY different coverage.

now regarding vita, do you have her signature weapon? I assume not. While i did stress signature weapons earlier, i do not recommend spending crystals trying to catch up on reruns. You wouldn't be able to use her as a main dps in the meantime (sig weapons can be 20-60% of the valk's personal damage) Whether you can use the valk as a support or not depends on the valk itself but vita can be fine.

How well do you understand the astral ring system? This is important for teambuilding.

It's not too late to start. It will be little bit awkward though since newest gacha valks are not compatible with farmables currently. There's still teams you can use in the meantime but don't expect anything fully functioning until you save up and pull a few more. Lore and gameplay are separate things btw. If you're playing for lore then you don't really need anything. The game will eventually give you trials to use instead.

This game also has a few modes that makes you compete against other players. This competition is important because abyss (one of these competitive modes) gives you alot of crystals (gacha currency). Maybe it's too early to ask but just so you know, general advice will be about preparing to do well in abyss.

What is your idea of endgame? HI3 is an older game so you might not have a matching idea of what it really is.

Endgame i would say is being able to handle many different situations in abyss but you would need a wide roster of good enough valks (one copy of valk and their signature weapons. Only focus on new released valks). Once you reach to exalted tier (captain level 81 and above) you can realistically aim to stay in red lotus (semihighest) tier

to answer the fully functional and compatible stuff, you would need to read the last link of my astral ring faq earlier to understand how team building is like. But that's a big topic we can come back to later

lets think the value of the valk as a battery. The energy is 100% at the day the battery is produced. then energy is lost each day. so u will get a less energy battery if u buy it later

yes MA is one of the endgame competitive contents of the game but tbh MA really isn't important. The rewards you get from ranking well there aren't notable. You just need to complete fights there for the main rewards even if the fights aren't done well.

abyss is your bigger concern (quantum manifold or superstring dimension later on)

the simplest way i can explain the team building system is that

• every newer valk now has one single ring type, and multiple tags
• ring types mainly matter if the valk is the leader. the leader is now the dps of the team. the ring type determines the team's playstyle
• the tag mainly matters if the valk is not the leader (in other words they are a support)
• you want to make sure the leader ring type matches the tags of the support
• we can cover examples in the future

the problem with newer valks is they have newer ring types with their own matching tags. But the game doesn't give you farmable valks that have these matching tags.

A big part of the issue is likely that you haven't levelled the passive tree yet because I tried just now with wrong bow + 3 pc Peary instead and it clears 2.25 without issue, floor 4 was the most annoying part after getting the first nexus it went very cleanly., using the Stellar outburst build with Eden and Kalpas before first boss and Mobius for second boss. @zenith vale
