but every spending event offers elf frags so you can slowly collect the box until u can 4 star

theres only one relevant elf but since the box doesnt expire u can just get it and keep it until u need it

for example on the first boss we are gonna see, symphony hellmaru her team is actually fdd paws

since symphony requires 3 different elements present in the team

the idea is you want to have something that can brute force/manage during weathers where you dont have the BiS option available

backpulling in general is not recommended, if you are gonna pull, preferably always pull towards investing in future units to be on par with the meta
the reason im not completely against backpulling fdd in your case is your large sum of crystals at the moment, and the fact that fdd is a breach support for the 2 main rings at the moment (loa and goi) and the fact she was released literally last patch

btw ranks are not required unless you are a giga whale/giga simp

only times ranks have any noticable impact is in higher abyss rankings more specifically myriad

But in general it's fine to pull the newly released valk of the patch together with her weapon. Signature gacha weapons are very important for performance in this game so make sure to plan to get them before the banner goes away.

anyway aside from events, you do get a few from battle pass (including free version) and elysian realm too. It's not much but something to value over time.

So the main thing about HoRb is she is a physical world star dps with summoned entities, and this will enable her to perform especially well against dominance weather (next abyss cycle against SK in exalted tier)

outside of that she only has two tags. She can support other world star leaders and she can support grail. In both of these cases I haven't seen any absolutely best case for her.

-# the best i know so far is apparently she can get close scores supporting sparkle dps but that's niche and at that point you can prob get an RL retain score with other options too. Not really a highlight

domain resonance tags are very common at this point since world star is so old. Grail is more new so you may value the symbiosis tag if you don't already have them, but for a fresher player, this is still an added price for the valk herself with this box

furthermore horb isn't new, and had past opportunities to rank her up affordably too. If you ever go into high abyss where a horb dps niche shows up again, you're contesting against S2, SS, or even higher opposing horb ranks

However HoRb's weapon is still a dkey. That's a +10 atk to all valks on your account. Not much on its own, and doesn't justify the 60 pull worst case price, but if you care about competing at the highest points of the game, these minor atk sources do add up to matter.

that's all i mainly have to say for certain. Overall I find horb very uphill to justify on a budget unless you really like her personally

Something I still need to investigate (because i haven't really read much yet tbh) is that horb back in p1 was the impair support, reducing enemy def. I know astral ring horb can still do it, and I want to know if it's relevant to how she normally operates in these astral ring teams. With knowing nothing right now, i am very flimsily speculating there's a possibility they may stop giving newer physical valks self impair, and want you to rely on other sources, possibly from horb. However keep in mind vita and FDD gives phys breach too which achieves the same overall effect.

if you want to get an idea of how much atk you can get in total, then keep in mind some of the more recent dkeys (like horb's this patch) can give more than +10 atk if you are willing to pull dupes (not recommended)

and that's also why merely telling you the quantity of weapons won't help

you want them for the passive and global +10 atk they can give you once you tune them into the dorm menu

same goes for the ones in the reserve works shop. The main thing to note is the the weapons there are permanently available

so make sure to prioritize other less available weapons if they become practically available to you (like SoEAE in the box)

but also think about what kind of player you are. These atk stats mainly matter in high red lotus or nirvana

also if you want to try out some of these weapons, HoR has a tutorial stage for it. I think BKE has one for abyss flower too.

Free Stigmata Boxes

Hey, Captain!

In Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, most new Valkyries will have a Stigma Option box given for free! But when should you use them?

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.
• Skipped the weapon and do not intend to craft the Stigmata set, you have no urgent reason to open the box, so keep it.

Regarding Bronya: N-EX, you can open the box once you own T or B and use it to finish TB. M is not BiS on SW.

GoI is still new so it's a bit loosely speculated or expected for new releases to be related to it

certainly you can get a costume and not be able to use it since you lack the valk, but older valks do become more available as time goes on

costumes do rerun too if you like this one but at a higher cost usually

well in this case it's more like an actual cost because you can get this JDS songque costume for free as long as you spend in banners enough

but if you need something else you can consider terminal aide (prometheus/TA) (no need to ever swap to her. her shield debuffs passively as long as it stays up)

finish rolling for her weapon first in the gacha. You can stop once you do so. The weapon is the only gacha exclusive thing but you can get stigs along the way

for any stigs you didn't get, you will then open the selector box the login event gave you (although did you already used it?)

and any more beyond that can be crafted from foundry

in the meantime you can use robert peary 3pc from starter manual training shop, or if you don't have that either then go craft scott 3pc from the foundry

if you already opened the stig box then nothing can be done about that. But it's not a big deal. Just keep it in mind for the future

Free Stigmata Boxes

Hey, Captain!

In Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, most new Valkyries will have a Stigma Option box given for free! But when should you use them?

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.
• Skipped the weapon and do not intend to craft the Stigmata set, you have no urgent reason to open the box, so keep it.

Regarding Bronya: N-EX, you can open the box once you own T or B and use it to finish TB. M is not BiS on SW.

if you're paying for bp regardless, then i think it's fine to pick up the weapon from it if you're getting thelema valk now. Divine keys in reserve works are permanently available and can be delayed in when you get them.

She can still be a functional valk for niche cases down the road esp when you don't have much, but don't expect significant uses.

But if you're not already buying bp, then the irl money you're spending can be spent on more crystal efficient stuff for newer future releases.
