S2 thele gives her full meter on ult

SS thele has higher freeze trauma, meaning in some cases, less hold WA to get freeze on a high trauma threshold boss

and ofc ranks help with damage. Relevant to thele main dps or if she's supporting hohe, where thele deals damage during charging phase anyway

sena s2 is mainly to help her against multiple enemies. Mainly relevant against SD mobs final stages like bloodthirsty weathers

and again, ranks = slight personal atk stats

both cases are niche nowadays really

beware of meta norms too. Thele was a popular raffle/carnival pick in the past so it's more common for her to be higher ranked if you want to keep up in specific scenarios

as for everything else in the shop, nothing too different from the past. Don't ever consider outdated valk frags. Elf can be ok/situationally useful if you're not getting gacha ops and aren't interested in the more exclusive and more recent astral ring valks.

Someone else confirms to me it does work. Keep in mind this doesn't automatically fully open the shop. You still need to clear the conditions for each item(now in Voyager log/chronicles).

The difference is you have more time but can no longer gain more shop currency and can't get the emblem

but in the context of supporting helia, FWS' personal damage really isn't a main concern and i don't really ever recall situations encouraging badum support with multi targetting

but maybe you can get lucky on the upcoming carnival. otherwise if you maintain the game, the next few valks down the line will prob have it since they release stuff that works together close together usually

ok well HoTr S2 gives her more sp regen. It doesn't completely fix it but it lets her avoid having ult-less (breachless) cycles less.

• however beware HoTr use cases are very low now. Herrscher trio is still kinda niche since HoFi got her stellar key but the sp cost is reduced there anyway. FoV saw a use very recently otherwise.
• also beware the meta rank is now SS which gives more breach iirc

overall i feel HoTr is a tougher sell but it doesn't matter how often or how uncommon something is. What more matters is if there's a practical difference.

Let me talk about HoHe next

So HoHE is really just a dps. Her main meta rank is SS1 especially after all the ways we had the last few patches to get fragments for her. She's also popular so seeing SSS is prob not too uncommon if you go high in abyss too.

Her use cases are a bit more common since she got a stellar key. However, her ice scenarios are now more contested by HLE's debut. You might want to be wary of your Thelema ranks and if you have SS sera or not too for very high tiers.

her modern support scenarios aren't really notable outside of tank boss, where she has the weakpoint utility and also her personal damage can be notable (type counter. Esp if the weather isn't fire up ice down), but this ofc still isn't as major as her as a dps role.

Try to roll for her weapon. In this game, the signature weapon benefits are significant and a meta standard. (meta is significant for your gacha currency income)

Affixes are not important at this stage in the game. I recommend you to stop to conserve them for much later point in the future where they do actually matter. But up to you if you just want to see the bigger numbers.

Building a character in HI3 mainly just means leveling them up, unlocking their skills, and getting + upgrading all their signature gear. However HI3 isn't a game where you can rely only on one valk. The whole team matters.

2.25x should be do doable for you and that gives max crystals, so give that a try at least

beware this game has moved away from farmable valks into gacha only valks. You won't get far with farmables. By free do you also include giveaways or f2p gacha currency sources?

Story and event content doesn't need any gacha to clear. Eventually you get trial valks at worst to use.

So owning valks is more for sentimental purposes or progressing further into abyss for higher crystal gain (or to use in other modes like arena/ER but those aren't as important). The net outcome of rolling valks > gaining from abyss is always negative so make sure there's an overlap of what you enjoy too

the main way you develop your account is to play regularly to not miss out on crystals, and with those crystals, roll for newest releases that have usually the longest longevity for your cost. You only roll when you can expect to get valk and weap together too.

but as time goes on the less you'll make top uses of them

newer valks will get more emphasis, and scenarios favoring the older ones will get less and less

anyway the astral ring valks we see nowadays are flexible/multipurpose

they can be a dps when leader or a support if in other slots

and how you build teams depends on matching ring types of the leader to the tags of the support

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.
