You can grab whoever you want mostly. It’s advised to pick someone in the Elysian realm for crystals (or, technically to save and then get whichever er valk you don’t own) but you’ll get everyone in the egg eventually

Largely speaking most p2 valks do have similar supporting capabiliities that their differences only really matter at the highest points of the competition (nirvana)

but loosely speaking mainly lantern and theresa were big skips. Sparkle and durandal were arguable skips too depending on what you were focused on

if you're f2p you should expect to skip every once in a while especially if you cannot safely guarantee a newly release valk with her weapon at the first abyss of the patch (regardless of how must pull the new release at the time may be)

if you want to know what valks i would lean towards not skipping, then valks with team breach since that can sometimes result in a relatively larger difference, or are SD typing since every SD valk tend to have different utility that are used together against a single boss

but i have seen exceptions where people have gotten competitive scores without some of these and with lesser options instead. It really is case by case at that point

Imaginary enemies have two separate components. A shell and core. You attack the shell first. Once you deplete the shell, you move on to the core.

• Some img valks have attacks that damages the core directly even when the shell form is up. (herrshcer of finality, reign solaris durandal) These valks may even kill the core directly and skip the shell phase.
• Other img valks instead have let you use a particular attack to finish off an enemy when they only have a low percentage of hp left. (eden, pardofelis, herrscher of truth)
• Certain enemies will restore the shell hp while in core form. If you don't finish the core in time, then it'll restart the shell phase but the core hp remains where you left off.
• Other enemies may not restore shell hp. Some bosses may even have very inflated hp where shell is phase 1 while core is phase 2.

SD enemies are kinda similar but they only have one hp bar. The gimmick is that they shift between current hp and max hp. Reducing max hp will also reduce current hp.

The other gimmick is that under certain conditions they may drop stardust shards. SD valks generally can pick these up easily. Upon collecting shards, each one will cause your next hit to reduce the enemy's max hp by a specific percentage per shard

lvl 80 but thats only cause i did dailies, havent done story and barely worked on valks. i have lantern 4/4, sparkle 4/4, senti has her weapon not evolved, coralie has her weapon and tsi B, and dragon coralie is using coralie's weapon and fu hua muscician 3/3 (it was already fully leveled up)

starchasm nyx has 3/3 scott (barely fully leveled) and HoV has 3/3 elizabeth and holy guns kallen

azure empyrea has her weapon but no stigmata and griseo just has random stuff on

usually the pt2 just squashes everything but manifold agony is going so slowly

Most buffs stack multiplicatively with other buffs and additively with the same kind

So ideally you want as many different kinds of buffs as you can in addition to bigger numbers

Every battlesuit needs their weapon. If you can afford FDD+wep she would be really good at supporting next patch’s battlesuit but you can’t so just save. You can get ||HorB Dkey|| next patch and use her as a support + VBM as cope supports for ||HLE||, and maybe try and pull ||Peregrine Sword or Badum|| from carnival with the 20 free pulls they give you

There’s an asterite priority guide in pins but tldr is VBM ranks + unlock VBS are the priority, and then make sure you can buy the monthly AW and the per-patch Toruses, then buy SC metal (only if needed for a Pri arm upgrade, you don’t need to stockpile it) and then you can consider VBM weapon synergies or cope supports like TA and SS and RC depending on your account details
