If you roll 90 rolls on the battlesuit banner, you will get the battlesuit. You can also get it sooner if you're lucky, and there's an unconfirmed soft pity starting at about 76

if you roll 60 rolls on the weapon banner, you will get the weapon. You can also get it sooner if you're lucky

most battlesuits need their weapon and stigmatas to function. You get the stigmatas on the weapon banner but they don't impact pity and you can craft them if you get unlucky.

The idea of rerolling is to bruteforce luck on the valk banner. Usually it's not abnormal to need to spend around 80-90 pulls for the valkyrie. But by rerolling, you force yourself to get lucky on it early and save roughly 75 or so pulls.

Every valk in this game wants their weapon too and that's at worst another 60 pulls per valkyrie

Data suggests that it does exist (starting at 76 pulls), but it is not confirmed anywhere by HoYoverse so we can't be 100% sure.

if you are a really big fan of the ||new elysia battlesuit||, it's an unfortunate reality that ||she is GoI|| and FDD is the core support for all GoI content moving forward because she is the only one that allows your teammates to have elemental breach/be in elemental breaker state. its very likely that FDD will be ||new ely's|| core/BiS support, which is why i'm recommending you to reroll in the first place. if you need a break from rerolling frustrations then feel free, you have so much time on your hands to get that one lucky reroll.

i didn't get to reply to this earlier but i mean i don't think you should be only looking at this in terms of ideal conditions and timing of when you get the next patch's valk. When it comes to f2p or light budget, limitation of the crystal budget is notable too. Akemi seems wary of burnout too.

That FDD is going to cost 145 pulls at worst and that can compromise the main priority next patch (granted they can abandon the account and restart on a newer account early in that patch if they have to).

Meanwhile if they skip FDD and instead prioritize next valk first, certainly they'll be stuck with VBm and VBs for a while, but those 145 crystals will to something else in the future instead. While it's possible FDD may still be better, with how p2 supports have been, i doubt it would be too big of a deal.

or they can backpull FDD i guess. New releases tend to rerun soon after their release. But this is not a common consideration.

Overall the idea was being mindful of how they may not achieve two valks and at that point, prioritizing what they really want first (next patch valk), and making compensatory plans from there (FDD rerun or the next new valk after 8.5)

signature weapons generally...

• provide the valk a large amount of personal damage (20 to even 70% depending on the valk)
• can have extra functionalities that are important to the gameplay flow of the valk (sometimes they may refill meter, apply time stop, etc)
• are a meta standard. We typically urge f2p or light paying players to aim for red lotus in endgame abyss above captain level 80)

of course if you ever decide you don't want to focus on the meta anymore, then it's fine to collect or focus more on valks rather than weapons. Just be aware that the reason why meta is more encouraged in this game is because of the crystals you get from abyss, but this is also paradoxical. No meta valk you get will give you a profit if you don't enjoy playing them.

• this fresh player team isn't going to make full use of how FDD works. The supports you need are gacha only and will come later. This is just a temporary thing to make use of things the best you can for now
• you cannot use astral ring valks (this means FDD) in early part 1 story. You'll have to use something else in the meantime but content at that point is weak and you can use other things

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.
