very minor buffs, not worth chasing after

the thing is gacha aops aren't meant for general purpose, they're specialists who usually perform worse outside their best fields

that doesn't mean there aren't edge cases where they perform better anyway, but for the most part you just tend to use it somewhere where DS would've done better anyway

Chenxue stonks hard for any GoI and RoO ring teams btw

just like you were told before, the gain is only the cherry on top needed for top abyss and ma performance

We don’t know anything about 8.5 release yet but if they’re a GoI unit (very likely) Teri will be worse than Chenxue and barely better if at all than DS

But mechanically you’d be able to do it

If you were referring to Hohe + her dkey DS should be slightly better most of the time, while ds should be better DMG wise Teri provides some more initial Ari, though note that this initial Ari probably won't be very significant in RL or below since you often only SO 1 time and depending on the run you may want to save the SO for a second phase and in such cases the initial Ari would basically do nothing

purana also won't matter as much in the long run and having an actually useful JK in those situations is better imo

in the case of not needing a 3rd valk we can drop pardo for someone else who can buff more passively if you lack damage

at worst, rank upgrades give at least some raw attack. i do think ss1 hohe is notable but i'm not sure if it's relevant for this specific strat. do review the skill changes from the rank boost but overall this is a costly option for a pretty niche valk and if you're low on the resources you're paying for it, i would exercise reservation/caution if you think you would want it for anything else

they are best but do you have her weapon already? you'll be getting stigs as you roll for weapon so you may not need to craft them. Thelema is very dependent on her signature weapon.

Tbh backpulling thelema isn't recommended meta wise but what kind of personal goals do you have for the game?

but the short idea is you want to match the ring type of the leader (now always the dps) with the tags of the supports

there are many ring types and tags, and each ring type has a specific tag it pairs with

so let's talk about grail of infinitude for example. That is the newest one.

this particular ring type pairs with valkyries with symbiosis tags

every new valk now has one ring type but usually multiple tags

so this means a valk can be used as a specific kind of dps, but can also be used to support multiple different teams too in various scenarios

does all this make sense so far?

yeah so thelema is wheel of destiny ring type. that ring type matches with harmonized shadow star tag. so if you're looking for supports you would want other valks with that tag

but thelema also has tags for world star and also harmonized shadow star

obviously she cannot support herself

but thelema can be used to support leader dps that are world star (e.g. senadina dps) or wheel of destiny (e.g. lantern)

not every valk is equal though. Some are still better at supporting than others but for decent/not highest competition just making sure you match your team building can be enough

anyway going back to this question, i can't exactly answer this because late game of HI3 expands to many different scenarios so there's no general consideration.

If you want to be meta then you'll want to have a vast array of valks to use. Generally the main recommended way to do this is to forget about all past valks (no backpulling). Instead save up crystals and pull only new valks (together with her weapon. roughly 40k total to be safe per valk) when you can afford it (as f2p you will have to skip sometimes)

and over time the old meta will fall off while you will lapse into the newer one

but meta isn't the only way to enjoy the game. We can deviate from it especially if you want to focus on elysia only. (thelema is still relevant for hohe)

again make sure to get the weapon first. that's the only gacha only thing now

no point in spending extra mats on stigs when you're going to roll them anyway

and generally part 2 stigs are hyper specific and only greatly function at full 3pc

their main team buff is also on their 3pc effect
