Apologies, When i meant "Feel" I was at the dummies and my poison ticks were 1.3 mill ish. Since they go by so fast and there are SOOO many other numbers in there i wasnt able to get an Exact number. So that is why i said "Feel". When i swap out an idol that should give approx the same boost i do 1.5 mill ticks.
Do the omen idol layouts with 3+ omen idol stats only drop from a specific tier omen window?
I am seeing an increase when testing but yeah it seems a bit low honestly. but like with the affix in general not with the altar bonus

I feel like I've been experiencing this as well. It feels like beginning a new zone can remove the damage boosts for aura of decay and dread shade. But idk which is why I haven't said anything
I could see it practically resummoning your minions and if you don't have all your buffs up when swapping instance it might snapshot them without the buffs. I'd say that's basically just a consequence of snapshotting though and isn't really a bug

Minions are by far my weakest point of knowledge in this game though so honestly take everything I'm saying with a grain of salt

no you are right, i think there is snapshotting going on. Just sucks it seems to happen when i zone out and back in. When i zone into the arena, im doing 1.3m rarely 1.4m. with aura and dread activated after zoning in.
When i resummon all the minions with Aura and dread up im seeing 1.6-1.7m ticks
When i zone to the bazaar and come back im doing 1.3m again
Yep that seems about right damage increase wise, since the increased damage bonus is additive with all your other sources of increased damage for them
so while it might be a few hundred % increased damage you're likely well over 1000% total increased damage already
Why does loot despawn if you respawn - loot spawns outside in echo room - you go back in to your teammate to shatter omen - then go back outside - and now all the loot is gone , this is bad design.
Because otherwise loot would keep piling up until you have like 5000x items just sitting there and your game lags out
So would i need to resummon them every mono? or just when i leave monos?
This shouldn't be a problem in echoes, since you don't ever actually change instance and as such I don't think your minions would ever get artificially resummoned (this is why we don't have a loading screen when teleporting out of an echo btw, your character is just moved really far away to that little island :P)

is there any consideration on a way to skip the RP from normal abby after your first kill of it? each season we get to the point of having to do abby for eternitys but the RP takes longer then killing abby. i know many players have submitted feedback about this so curious if you have thought about possible solutions or if this is how you plan to keep it?
once I have rhythm and wealth lens, should I use my third slot to target a specific item or get rid of dungeon prophecies? (I skip dungeons, arenas, etc...)
I usually use the one that forces all events to be in monolith,thay being said if I want something specific I will buy the appropriate lens of that type so I can target them
Usually prophecies on dungeons and arenas are bad for things like items and okish for things like idols and runes

Prophecies are like items dropped ,since items scale with corruption to a degree,doing them in monos where you have high corruption should net you better lp items than if you do them in dungeons,always rng but its better
Hey team. The reduction in imprint chances this season has led to some significant feedback. I suspect the imprints were never supposed to be as powerful as they were in S3 (not sure if confirmed). It begs the question- was this something that the team considered patching earlier? Why did you come this particular decision to patch in S4 release? 🙂
If I have BladeWeaver and recast shatter strike through its trees, would the stacks apply to the recast or just the initial cast?

yes but only with the spriggan form node that summons second one while you are in the form.
outside of that there isnt anything that allows summoning extra ones

Spellblade 40% of melee flat damage applies to spell damage. Not working with elemental damage? Noticed my spell blade didn't get any spelldmg from flat T7 fire dmg, tested with cold and even void and necrotic too.
Is it intended to be like that(terrible) or its an oversight/bug that its only working ifor non-type flat damage?
For something like "cemetery pack size" on the weaver tree, is this applied when the cemetery is spawned on the echo web, when you enter the echo, or when you enter the cemetery?

this is working for me. I used white nagasa scymitar with no affixes and then exalted version with +50 melee fire damage and both fireballs and lightning blasts damage went up.

I'm trying to build a Bane of Winter spellblade and I had planned to use Wings of Argentus to capitalize on the spears final passive but my cold spell, Volcanic orb, is not benefitting. Is the passive supposed to only convert melee dmg on the spear itself?
Wings of argentus doesn't grant added damage. I'm confused as to what it's supposed to benefit

Hi Mike, when you channel a skill you can continue channeling past 0 mana but stop eventually. Do you stop after a certain amount of time or is there a "negative mana limit" for channeling skills that once you hit instantly stops your channel? looks like it's a limit that's set per skill but is somehow affected by channel cost from some brief testing.
Why is Healing Hand cooldown 9.5 sec instead of 6 since 1.4 ?
The node in Shatter Strike - Shatter Strike hits convert all stacks of ignite on enemies into frostbite.
Does the converted frostbite scale off of the hit that applies it (shatter strike scaling) or from the original ignite?

there is a per skill negative mana limit manually set for each channelling situation.
base cooldown is 0 and with movement I'm seeing 6 with no other modifiers
if you literally got nothing, as in didn't get the auto-reply at all then something likely went wrong in the submission process and we didn't actually get the ticket. If you did get the automated initial reply which outlines the pending ticket and reply, please wait for the support team to reply. (I can't look up ticket numbers)

I don't understand what is confusing about what I said, of all the characters who are marksman at lvl 80+ and in empowered, 1.43% use heartseeker, cinder strike and take the blades of the pyre node.

First off, a build's popularity is not directly proportional to it's power. A build which is slightly the best will be significantly more popular. Second, We didn't really do much to the build this season and people have played it a bunch recently. People often like to look for something new. There is a new bow skill available this season so people naturally gravitate towards that.
All those things combined push the usage of this build down a lot.

yes, all channelling abilities have a minimum mana threshold where they stop channelling. Warpath will always stop at the same negative mana point. Depending on where you started from, you could go slightly over that if a single tick of mana cost is more than 1

The interaction in question is when you're making use of void well and the abyssal echoes node in warpath. you can sometimes cast abyssal echoes when below 25 mana resulting in your mana being below -10 before void well goes off, stopping your warpath even though you can sustain the mana with void well if it had kept going. Everything is working as intended but the result is a little jank
can you reset a nemesis/beast echo chain with a Vessel of Memory? (excluding the last in the chain that counts as a woven echo)

If void well went off before the warpath negative mana check it wouldn't get interrupted for example
we can't predict that the mana is going to eventually work itself out

I have sent my feedback that this build is bad at mana sustainability 6 months ago. It always go to negative mana. Burning daggers lack of more modifiers to scale damage too.

Well currently it goes like this:
- You're at lets say 20 mana
- your warpath casts abyssal echoes (35 mana cost)
- you're now at -15 mana with enough essences for void well
- Warpath sees you're at -15 and stops channeling (Because its limit is -10 from testing)
- void well sees you're at -15 and gives you mana back
If the last two events swapped place warpath wouldn't get interrupted. But this is all feedback which I've already made a post for, just wanted to clarify what we're talking about ^^
Just because we receive feedback about something, doesn't mean we will act on it. We get conflicting feedback all the time. It is impossible to act on all of the feedback we get because they often directly contradict each other. Everyting in #feedback gets catalogued and sent to the appropriate places.
and I've played that build and enjoyed it
I think if I invest all my stats into max mana and I have void well, I should never ever stop spinning. That would make warpath truly a good build. Current iteration is not good. Many people agree on this one and we all would appreciate if you could change this
By the way, does EHG always put all fixed bugs on the patch notes? If I don't see it there since it was reported, is it safe to assume it hasn't been fixed.
Random question, anyone on the dev team read or was inspired by Shadow Slave? I don’t know why but everytime I’m in the Chain Isles maps from the Ancient Era from last league I just keep thinking about the Chained Isles from Shadow Slave. Its most like 10000% a coincidence though
sometimes one will sneak in without being patch noted but it's very rare

I think for the case of channeling spells specifically, having a separate guaranteed 1s grace period before terminating the channel could probably work (assuming checks are done in at least 1s intervals)

so javelin when you turn it into seige barrage has weird targeting issue on controller where the enemies just dont get targeted even if you're facing them and they're in your face. im not sure if bug or skill issue on my part

I was wondering about why Set items have such limited corruption outcomes. My guess was a rarity thing, adding an exalted affix to a unique through corruption changes it to a legendary.
How would adding an affix to a set item change its rarity? Should set items ever have additional affixes? I assume those question would have come up when deciding on corruption outcomes for set items. Am I close at all or are there other reasons?
I've already put in the suggestion to let set item corruption add affixes btw, just asking about the limitations around set item design
set items just arent capable of getting affixes added to them. coded that way on purpose

always rng. but there are a few champion woven echoes that spawn a lot of champs in a smaller period of time that helps with the farming
Just to be very clear, the "slayer leech" is simply granted by corrupted form. Accursed feast doesn't enable or disable that functionality (although its inc leech rate does reduce the duration of your leech instances).
(inc leech rate is kinda bad with corrupted form)

There's usually not one for bug reports. You can contact support for help but honestly I think your best bet might be to start a new character if the forge quest doesn't auto complete when you go further into the game.

Odds higher compared to what? If you mean a 5 unique item prophecy vs 5 runes of ascendance then yes

What people are complaining about, though, isn't Warpath being interrupted, it's Void Well doing its job only half the time because of some wonky implementation that, let's be frank, is hard to justify other than by saying "we don't want Warpath to only stop when running out of both mana and void essences". Is that EHG's actual position on this matter?
Is there a max limit to bees? I seem to be capped at 43 normal bees. I'm able to summon more elementals but even with more idols it stays at 43 bees
Void well works consistently. The issue is that warpath stops channeling at -10 mana so sometimes abyssal echoes makes you go below that if cast at low enough mana, stopping warpath before void well gives you the mana back. Everything is working as it should but it's an unfavourable interaction which is why I among others have made feedback and suggestions posts regarding it.
There should be no cap. There have been builds that go above a hundred bees iirc

i have 43 bees summoned and i have a +5 bees per 10 seconds idol in my inventory. if i equip it, no change to the number of bees summoned
My point being, and supporting your suggestion, stopping Warpath before allowing Void Well to restore mana, is a choice you make if your position is "I actually want Warpath to stop despite Void Well being mechanically designed to prevent exactly that"
Question for the farsight turtle: Many say we differ here between random and non random drop. random drop has a chance to get LP, non-random drop will (for 100%) lose all LP. So my question is, can I get LP on a Boss Specific Unique for example Foot of the Mountain or World Splitter?
Farsight turtle doesn't care if the unique is from a boss or not

I’m in the part of the gameplay loop where I’m just blasting monos as fast as possible to find nemesis and conq towers and having to clear 2+ screens in any direction so I don’t get insta gibbed in 800c is exhausting tbh.

If the conversion shows up on your character sheet then yes (pretty sure hubris does)

No any class can use it, because it's a multi-class affix.

When you have the Seed of Chaos node in Chaos Bolts and proc CBs via Flay's Chaos Rip node, do they consume 80% of the Chaos Rip mana cost (2) or 80% of Chaos Bolt's manual cast mana cost (10)?
Have any of the devs did uberroth (without offline cheat engine shenanigans)? I can't see how a developer tried this boss, gave him 5 different oneshots, all the ailments, multiple invulnerable phases, ground dots that tick at 2500 per hit and that god awful 20 laser beams last phase then continued to not tweak the numbers. Isn't the amount mechanics and huge HP already a challenge, why do we have to suffer with oneshots as well? Btw I killed him 2 times this season and hopped on an alt, half my deaths to him was the 2500 DoT tick or desync because I didn't get hit by the abilities on MY screen but game said that I did. I know feedback is treated as heresy here, but please consider looking at the stats you have for this fight

Since there exist arguments about the game, I am mostly unsure in how relevant are the different opinions and how they are formed. Mostly because I am very interested in which arguments count the most into the good old "player retention" discussion. This is a call for as many relevant and relevant-like statistics and maybe more player feedback in the form of surveys. This is a mix of asking for survey and survey data but also me preparing a potential suggestion for an integrated in-game player survey mechanic.
So, do we have a source of analytic data of how people are playing and maybe even enjoying the content that LE has?

They consume 80% of chaos bolts' mana cost; chaos rip doesn't have a mana cost since it's not a skill, it is just a mana consumption effect same as seed of chaos.
@dev team has there been any talk to move away from relying on all sorc builds to use focus? having something that is pretty much mandatory feels bad anyone pushing corruption levels require to use it i have a huge dislike for the skill.

I think that it's expected for certain skills to become more mandatory as you push into the extreme values of corruption.

There are a lot of nodes which say damage for mana and they are all very tempting. If you take a lot of those, you need to have something in your action economy to restore mana. We have 2 (and a half) mana restoration specific abilities to take up action economy. If you can think of an interesting way to do a 3rd with a full skill tree that can go with it without stepping on the toes of the others, I'd love to read about it in #suggestions. I haven't seen any internal or external ideas to that which I think are very interesting personally.

what if multiple paladins had different nodes in the same party? for example if one paladin had the void conversion and one didn't and they are standing next to a rogue, does the rogue get only fire damage? only void damage? some of both?
pretty sure it flicks back and forth, only one holy aura can apply to any one character at a time

Don't you feel that pigeonholing every build into using these 2 skills is not an issue? i honestly feel mana generating play style is never really fun if anything all sorc skills should have in there tree a way to sustain mana by spending points etc and just remove generators from the sorc in general it's never fun as seen by many other games don't seem to have these issues that last epoch has when it comes to mana and it's not a fun issue to have i might add.

The balance alternative you're effectively asking for is to scale back/remove the damage for mana nodes.
I'm guessing your talking about the mana regen nodes? which arent enough to sustain a meteor build as an example and i'm sure you have the stats at hand to notice they all use focus for good reason.
No, there are lots of nodes that effectively say "do more damage, pay more mana". Most builds I see take as many of these as possible. If fewer were available, focus wouldn't be necessary.

also i still believe you shouldn't have 1 or 2 skills dictating all the sorcs builds as the only way to play to do any decent amount of corruption with a sorc sorry if it feels like we are going in circles here.
Looking just at the sorc ladder they all pretty much use focus or mana strike if anything those numbers are telling.
but you would have more time to cast more offensive spells, thus doing more damage

How do the unvar unique idols interact with more than 100 intelligence and/or multiple of the idol equipped. Assuming the chances can go beyond 100% is the 11% more damage on rise additive or multiplicative with itself?
i have 100 shred stacks on enemy , it is 77% more phys dmg taken , if i get let's say 100% increased shred effect , i will get 77+77=154% inc phys dmg taken ? or it is still cant go over cap shred (85%) and i just +9% and it looks like wasted stat
Armor is a defensive mechanic that reduces the damage taken from hits. It has no effect against Damage over Time.

Shred effects affects the amount of armour your shred stacks reduce the enemy by, so it still can't go past the 85% asymptote

Devs question. stat stacking in poe is one of my fav end game sinks, is there any thought in potentially adding mods that are %increased intelligence, % increased attributes etc? In POE those mods are extremely difficult to craft onto the right base + other useful mods, usually on bases that give % increased mod magnitudes (to amp scaling and the bases are very rare themselves (possibly a rare chase unique idea for LE??))?
Just a thought, could be cool. But didn't know if there was ever a discussion and it was talked about and decided against vs never being considered?

The affix cannot be slammed onto acolyte-only uniques, but if it is slammed onto a non-class-locked unique it won't class lock it.
In other words, acolytes can only use the affix on legendary helms and body armors with no class requirement.

But not everything gets passed on to the ailment. things reliant on the state of the enemy for example do not. But things that aren't reliant on some kind of condition generally do get passed on
For example if a node says "skill does x% more damage", that will get passed on to the ailments it applies
But if a node says "skill does x% more damage to slowed enemies" that won't get passed on.
Btw Mike, if you see this. this has me wondering why things like this don't work. Is it simply an order of operations thing? where the skill checks for the state of the enemy after it has already created/applied its subskills/ailments?. Since if it checked the state of the enemy before creating/applying its subskills and ailments couldn't the node(condition) simply grant the main skill a generic more damage stat that could be passed on to the sub-skill/ailments

it's the same reason that complex affixes don't get passed down to manifest armor. It's not a "stat" that auto applies.

it all happens at the same time, it's just that stats happen automatically with no individual skill specific code and no individual skill specific muator required
I guess I just haven't fully grasped the system. Because in my head I understand that all stats from one thing gets passed on to whatever it casts/uses. Like your character -> judgement -> concecrated ground -> etc...
But I imagine that it happens as those things are created. As in when my character hasn't casted judgement, judgement is just a blank slate, and when I cast judgement, that's when everything gets passed on automatically, and then when judgement casts consecrated ground that's when it passes on its stats etc.
But if we take judgements fervent impact node which gives it more crit chance vs ignited enemies. In my head it goes like this:
- I press the button to cast judgement
- My characters stats get passed onto judgement automatically and it applies whatever stats are applicable to it
- Judgement has its tree already and all modifiers from it, things like generic more damage etc are applied at this moment
- Judgement hits an enemy
- Judgement sees that it has fervent impact, so it checks if the enemy it just hit is ignited
- If the enemy is ignited, it applies itself with more critical strike chance
- Judgement does its damage calculations and applies the damage to the enemy
- Judgement applies its ailments
- Judgement casts its subskills (consecrated ground)
- Consecrated ground gets all stats from judgement automatically, My question is, why can't it get the more critical strike chance from judgement?
Now from the sounds of it this entire series of events is off by a mile lul

Forged Weapon questions: are they able to copy the 'damage per forged weapons' stats on the Sunforger set hammer? is that dynamicly updated or given to them when they're created based on the number of extant weapons? I think attribute stacking is already really powerful and the way that skills scale off of attributes as a percentage already, percentage scaling of those stats creates a quadradic scaling effect of those stat on skills which is something I would push back against.

Obv you dont want to introduce something that just becomes the default, which is where the deep investment comes in. It only works if you can actually get it working, otherwise its DOA, same as other arpgs. (thats the balance) its OP if you have the investment otherwise its bad.
So based on this response is it fair to say that even with potential deep investment (future game systems, mechanics, crafting mats etc.) that the idea of potential quadratic scaling even if it was only a single mod possible, (not on every piece of gear) is outside the philosophy of the games design?
Or with more endgame content, more power from new mechanics/mats/items etc. that this is a potential endgame build possibility but approached with caution?
I suppose every game at SOME point the Devs decide, yeah this is the balance we want. nothing is impossible, I just am not a big fan of stat scaling that scales faster as you scale because it means the gap between "viable" and "min/maxed" gets bigger and bigger. no, projectile speed is not a stat
so then how do the nodes that effect projectile speed work? or is it just not a player facing stat
same way that any other non-stat node works really. The node sets the value of a variable which is handed to the mutator which has bespoke code to set the projectile speed appropreately. For example, in volcanic orb, it passes the variable for shrapnel speed down to the shrapnel mutator sitting on the volcanic orb object which then has code to set the movement speed of the shrapnel itself.

One thing I've noticed over time is that EHG in many instances prefers sweeping changes and reworked systems over small improvements to certain systems. I don't know if you'd agree with that Mike, but there are examples that seem to be true, and I'm hoping to get your insight.
Prophecy icons is a big one that's really made me scratch my head. Lots of prophecy icons are shared between different prophecies, at least partially defeating the purpose of the icon. I cannot look at the icon and identify the reward type. Armor/Body armor, Caster weapon/wand, Jewelry/Ring, and a few others. This feedback came back really early in 1.0, because it's a pretty clear flaw in the apparent purpose of an icon in the UI with a negative impact on the UX, where you must hover prophecies that, with an appropriate icon, you'd prefer to skip.
For a long time, EHG gave little response to suggestions on this topic, other than to acknowledge that it was a problem. From the outside, it doesn't seem like a big fix. A couple of small art assets, and a cosmetic change to 2D art. But 2 years later, this problem still persists, and you've recently announced taking the prophecy system "down to the studs" for a rework/redesign. That redesign is welcome, but it appears that this pain point was back-burnered at least in part because a future rework was planned.
On the offchance you happen to read my long-winded post, what's your take on this?
Do you think that I'm overstating the impact of this type of problem?
Do you think I'm underestimating the amount of work that would be required for this fix?

Hello, love the game and the season absolute banger. I was curious about conversion stuff for skills. It seems odd to me that skills such as infernal shade you can convert fire - physical, ignite chance - bleed. Then you take a node like eruption that is really fun and cool for the build but the fire explosion ends up being its on thing and actually does not convert.
This is a fairly common problem I have seen with a few off meta builds (shatterstrike lightning), that kind of stop me from wanting to experiment with them because I end having to scale a bunch of different damage types. Do you plan on when you convert a skill letting the entire ability be converted in the future or you are kind of stuck to whatever nodes happen to work for it? I just want to try more variety with stuff but kind of feel locked into place for if this ability really wants it to be necrotic damage and half the tree supports necrotic then converting it is kind of pointless if it will still be doing a bunch of necrotic from the rest of the skill tree.

bladedancer passive "critical eye" says critical vuln - adds 5% additional chance to be crit and just in next paragraph says 2% additonal , so i missuderstanding some wording or it is bug , or may be first stack +5% and others +2%

If I've understood correctly this is actually a character sheet bug and not a bug with the node itself. Apparently the client doesn't know about corrupted form but the server does, so you do get the correct stats but the character sheet reflects the wrong ones (character sheet doesn't see corrupted form and continues using the default low life threshold).
Volca tried the node in offline and online and in offline worked fine and online didn't

They do affect hit boxes. It also affects threat generation a tiny bit.
(just because threat is based on distance and if it is bigger it is slightly closer to everything)
With corruption allowing rolls on items be set to be min and max value is it coded for bluefeather band to roll 54% when its min because it is less mana and etc or it is just strictly numeric

not all, no. it will convert the same thing the other type conversions do.
When you have the roll ranges visible, min roll sets each of them to the number on the left side, max roll sets them to the one on the right

Yes, it's multiplicative; less modifiers are always multiplicative with other modifiers. (The two examples you gave are the same though, both multiplicative)

Does Corruption (item rarity) affect Idol affix odds?
For example, if crit chance has a 10% weighting and lightning damage has a 30% weighting, does higher Corruption make specific Idol mods more likely on drops like Omen Idols?
Or does item rarity only increase how many Idols drop, but not the modifier odds themselves?

It's rarity, as in white, blue, yellow, exalted, unique, set etc. idols don't have any rarities

Vitality is actually a bit special in that it doesn't roll in all the same places as the other attributes. Being able to swap to vitality would enable vitality ring affixes, for example

Cyborg , what is exactly bugged about weaver enchants on idols? Is it the effect of the enchant not working? IE Minion Cast Speed on an enchanted necromancer huge idol
The corrupted affix that gives a limit to corrupted idols as well as increased weaver enchantment effect for idols in refracted slots seems to be bugged, not granting the enchantment effect, only the idol limit.
The normal enchantment effect affix is working though

Yeah it got flagged for using prohibited language. Reporting people for violating the rules in the in-game chat does have an effect. reports get reviewed and actions are taken based on them. Having live moderation for every language is sadly pretty unrealistic, which is why the game relies on automated filters for the most part, but also reports.

Any stats you would gain at low life don't show when at above 35% on the character sheet even if you have the corrupted form
But they do apply just fine, it's just on the sheet that they're not working right

so Pyramidal altar is buggy. but why it counts any idol with weaver affixes a 'weaver idol'? I mean there're idols that have 'weaver' in their name like Minor Weaver Idol of...smth. But my Heretical Ornate idol doesn't have a word 'weaver'. Why the altar thinks it's weaver? Or else they should word that implicit like '2 idols with Weaver affixes eqipped at maximum'. Because now it's misleading awfully

weaver and heretic idols are different types. if it is counting one as the other, it is bugged. (there are also some other bugs known about with altars and specific affix types, which also might be effecting you)
weavers are 1x1, 2x1, 1x2 idols with the 'weaver' as its base diety. heretical ones are class idols (already claimed by gods) changed to weaver, hence the heretical

Yes, it didn't fit the bill of driving a specific theme that other primordials do and it would mean we were taking something away which doesn't generally get a good reaction.
Are the prefix and suffix affixes on 1x3 omen idols that are usually only found on 2x2 idols drop only or can they be obtained by corrupting a normal 1x3 class idol?
For example, trying for Healing effectiveness and block effectiveness on a 1x3 sentinel idol

Would being able to put a rare into nemesis egg ever be considered? Having a 5/5/5/5 randomly get upgraded would be cool and make rares actually useful in end game instead of insta-hide. Would put some agency on finding multi exalt items instead of leaning on imprinting.

I tried to test this and enabled iron arms in the tree when I only had fire damage overall and the damage went up. equipping all the gear the damage didn't increase as much as expected.

I would like to ask: for brutality, if I have 200 strength I will have 100% reduced damage leech as health. Does that means the damage leech as health is reduced to half or do I have no leech at all?
100% reduced means
leech * (1-1) = 0
It's also additive with increased leech right? (There's only one source afaik but it does exist)
is endurance DR additive? Meaning after mitigation, if the hit goes into endurance threshold its 60% of the mitigated damage or is it calculated at the same time as all the other multiplicitive DR sources? I guess maybe both scenarios are still multiplicitive idk
all individual sources of DR are multiplicative with each other.
if a hit brings you down below your endurance threshold, the portion of that hit which is below that threshold is affected by your endurance.
ok makes sense, I knew DR in general was multiplicative. That's informative for why crit avoidance/reduction is so important for survivability with the diminishing returns you get from stacking so many DRs on top of each other.

Both situations you described here are multiplicative
Also stacking DR has no diminishing returns. Sure you reduce less and less of the initial hit but relative to before you got the last layer of DR it's still reducing the damage by the full amount.
Say for example we are taking a 1000 damage hit and initially have 50% DR. We'd take 500 damage.
Now let's say we get an additional 50% DR in a separate layer, we'd now take 250 damage, so instead of mitigating 500 damage this layer is only mitigating 250, but we're still taking half the damage we would've if we didn't have it (500), so our ehp still doubles
Yeah I just mean DR in that 10% LESS damage could actually end up being only 250 damage worth of a 10k dmg phys hit if you had 75% res
so red rings sometimes sound OP, but in reality getting crit avoidance will probably feel better as an example
You're looking at it wrong. If 10% DR only reduces the final damage by 250 that means you'd only take 2500 damage without it, so you're still 10% tankier
10% DR will always make you 10% tankier no matter what other DR you have
that brings up a good point actually, is an enemies crit the after mitigated value, it crits and does double, or is it premitigated crit, and then you mitigate the damage down to whatever it ends up being? Maybe it turns out the same either way. I'd have to do the math, i'm just writing it as I think of it

Full crit avoidance for example, would be equivalent to 50% DR on crits right? So Im just saying a single T7 crit avoidant mod on a helmet, will feel a lot better than getting 2 red rings with LP in terms of tanky. Nope. There's no difference between online and offline when it comes to acquisition of items unless you mod it. There's no built in testing mode or anything like that.

Are shards ever going to be gold-style pickup? Even as an option? It's the single most irritating thing in the game, especially chasing high corruption, and you have to stop in a map frenzy because of a mis-click. Also, seriously, clicking that much instead of a smooth mouse movement is not great for the hands. I never assign anything to right-click in these heated games, and would really not like to be left-clicking shards (omg) all the time.

if you're dying on a loading screen it's probably caused by you clicking buttons during said loading screen; from what I've seen the grace period buff lasts indefinitely until it detects input, which can happen even before you see the game world loaded
When you are using scorpian and it procs avalanch boulders it uses the scorpians stats but avalanch tree. If those avalanch boulders proc Earthquake, is the earthquake using the scorpians stats also?

The "when you use" at the start of the second paragraph in Blade Weaver means that it will only apply to the first one

Im essentially certain that they do. I play a build where the damage ramps up like 8x from when it starts to when its fully spooled up. When a lizard spawns, I cant kill it with my full power beam before it gets out of range. After I chase it down, even if its at full health, I can basically oneshot it with my minimum power beam
ok, I looked into it and Loot Lizards do have a special damage taken ramp up that is different from how we used to do bosses. They get regular stacks of More Damage Taken up to a maximum. (because they are individual stacks of more damage taken, it does ramp up faster and faster.)

In the future The crafting echos once you completed them for the first time. They should stay unlock somehow so you can go there anytime you need them is just a suggestion it could be nice

Hey team Q for the devs - in examples such as the changes to acid flask where it took a massive 90% hit and wasnt really running crazy corruption vs Warpath and Ballista - WP took a decent hit and Ballista seemed to get none, who decides on the change amount? Is it a team and do the team play test it to the same extremes as the min/maxers who usually have these builds. In this case 7 months into a cycle? There were other hits to things as well so genuinely curious to the technical proceedure I guess it is, the steps that you go through before deciding things as it is some things get absolutely gutted and others stay playable. I want to ask: For minions like forged weapon, their base damage is physical. After taking the "forged by fire" node, they gain fire tag. Then after this, if I use the affix "minion melee damage" for my sword to have adaptive flat minion damage, then does that give flat physical or fire damage to my minion?

You just need to merge your stashes
Go to your stash, in the top left you can select the season. Select the one you were playing them in and a button in the top right will appear to merge the stash to legacy. It will merge your faction rank alongside it.
Is there a way to see armor value of mobs? In particular uber aberroth?
We are looking at automating this process in the future. The risk being that someone might not want to bring it over for some challenge maybe. The headache that it causes seems much worse to me though.

Hey Devs, can you please make it so that the mirror rune can only be used on items with 0forging potential and that the mirrored version cannot be altered (except corruption) ? I think thats more fair. Because I honestly have never used mirror rune - I mean, im not done crafting the item untill i reach 0 potential anyway - at which point its either perfect or bricked - and if its not perfect then its not mirror worthy. Do you see the paradox?

A while back before the rework to avalanche, there was a node in the tree that made the boulders fall faster. It was removed in the rework, as a result, the boulders will just fall to slow to hit higher health targets like rift beasts and mages and any mob tha moves around. Any consideration to bring that back to the tree?

You won't really get answers from the team as a whole here, it's mostly just one senior dev who answers questions here but they don't work on every part of the game (they're usually working on stuff several seasons ahead currently afaik).

This is annoying ... I had a item filter to show me all items with double T7 affixes (over 470 of them checked). Some game update or unknown reason changed that filter for only 22 affixes. So what to do now. Wondering how many double T7 or even more did i miss because of it !!!

when we first started collecting bug reports, we found that we were asking players to send in their game logs. It was really inefficient and huge chunks of reports were essentially useless because we didn't get a reply from people when asking for logs. Since we have implemented the IGBR system, we have added several more categories of information that get collected at the same time which probably seems useless, it has helped us solve so many bugs. Just little things like the automatic screenshot helps us get a ton of information quickly. Seemingly innocuous stuff like what skills are equipped, if you're using a controller, what mtx you have equipped, what zone you're in, what corruption you might be playing at, if you're at high ping. Most of that can be seen from a simple screenshot. All this meta data surrounding the state of the game client at the time of the bug is really important. It also gives us a registered pathway directly to the account that experienced it in case we need to follow up with you directly.
All of this becomes a huge logistical nightmare over discord.

the forge strike node 'Shrapnel' says 'forge weapons explode, dealing fire and physical damage to the enemy' does that mean it does damage other than 'fireburst' when it explodes? (since fireburst is 100% fire, 0% phys) I assumed the physical part was it doing dmg depending on how much HP it has. But no matter if it explodes with 0% or 1000% minion HP, it does the same exact explosion damage. this node needs a lot of clarity.

Okay I understand it's not meant to be publicly discussed, and I am not trying to be a jerk here, but may I ask why there is a ban anomaly going on right now? I've seen 5+ people get banned in the last 30 mins including my friend. My friend has been playing games for 12+ years with me and has never been banned or warned in a game. I can say without a shadow of a doubt he is not cheating and or using any 3rd party programs.
Ya i have been playing for quite a while, not had any warnings or messages just account banned. Not sure whats going on? I sent in a message but never had a issue so not sure if thats the best way.
I'm not sure what time a ban would occur at would have any effect, but if they'd like to dispute an action, they'll need to submit a support ticket. If they did not receive any warning, they were likely identified as having transgressed a zero-tolerance policy, such as racism, death threats, or RMT.

How/when are Woven Echoes supposed to drop? I'm Lv. 64 in monoliths, and have yet to see a single woven echo drop (in fully offline mode, with multiple tombs done)...I feel like this is abnormal.
They drop from enemies in cemeteries and graveyards. As in enemies from the woven faction
They're not super common until empowered. You can also purchase quite a few of them from the merchant in the woven faction hub using memory amber.

It's something that once you get going it'll usually be smooth sailing. Especially if you can get some points on the weaver tree for bonus memory amber and drop rate etc

Curious since this wasn't mentioned in the patch notes - did they imprint changes affect the likelihood that the dropped item would have similar potential tier as the imprinted item?

This would be a little hard to tell, but I'd personally wager that no. From (unreliable) memory, the same situation was since 2 seasons back, except the trigger was so often that the details got lost in time. Triggered items so often I'd have a tab set out for them to just turtle, gauntlet to reroll the rolls and then nemesis egg for a higher outcome. The whole situation kind of went away, but I still think we've always had the same system. The imprints were very rarely exact copies of the affix values, let alone the LP.
Even the one time I thought to imprint a ring that had 0 FP, the triggers all had some 10-12-15 FP.

Oh yeah, does corruption affect the base quality of magic/rare/exalts (total number of affixes) that nemesis offers? Not the empower outcome itself (it's clear by now that that's not affected), but for example how more likely is it to be an exalt than a rare or a common magic item. Area level seem to matter (I rarely see exalts during campaign for example), but I keep hearing conflicting things about corruption.

I would like to Merge some lootfilters, like class specific ones, into one single loot filter, this way i can have it in all the characters and not miss out on anything important.

hmm, I feel like I want to say this here, been playing POE since 16-17 y/o (now I'm 29) and try creating build on my own a couple of time but all of them fail
POE have too many thing to consider when makeing build and it get more complex every patch till the point I don't want to try anything all learn the mechanic anymore, I just copy other people's build
but with this game I can go blind, pick skill that feel good to use
and then beat normal Abby. It's refreshing for me
what I want to say is LE complexity's is on point for me, I'm having a blast playing your game and try different things while learning your game's mechanic

I think it does affect starting inventory, but not sure. However, corruption absolutely does affect the empower outcome for non-unique/legendary items.

Correct if you launch into offline it won't. but if you launch into online and then swap to offline in-game (there's a button in the top left in character seelct) you will be able to use the in-game bug report tool
How were builds allowed to get thru CT program that are killing Uber Abby in 1 frame? I am extremely confused on the sense of game balance to obliterate some builds continually... yet others are left unchecked to just obliterate the game.
Will this continue to be a trend, or is there desire to try to bring many of these builds down in power level?

It's an arms race situation where ehg implement automated systems to block them which make them find new ways to bypass it which requires new systems/filters and so on. This is why their messages look so weird and why they kinda seem to come in waves (if you think about it in longer periods of time). I can assure you they're not being ignored.
(there are also moderators keeping an eye out on the chat but you don't see when a gold seller gets muted/banned)
How does LP chance scaling work with corruption?
It's a logarithmic function that affects the chance of getting at least 1lp (not getting 0lp). Lp is determined using successive rolls (if you succeed on the 1lp roll you get to. Roll for 2lp) so by raising the likelihood of succeeding on the 1lp roll you have a higher chance to get 2,3 and 4lp as well.

Legendary Potential is an extra property on uniques that can be used in the creation of Legendary Items.
Here's a graph showing the effect on a 0lpl item, X being corruption and Y being the likelihood of getting that much lp.
Blue: 0lp
White: 1lp
Brown:2lp
Pink: 3lp
teal: 4lp (It's hugging the x axis)
After around 1000 corruption or so it slows down quite a bit (remember it's logarithmic), which is why a lot of people aim for 1k corruption.

Note that if you're CoF the rank 8 bonus can make it so you're guaranteed lp on low lpl uniques, for example here is 30lpl, if you get to 565 corruption you'll be guaranteed at least 1lp, and because corruption only scales the chance of getting at least 1lp your lp odds will stop scaling past that point for that item, meaning if you're target farming one specific boss unique super hard it could maybe be worth parking your corruption a little lower as long as you have maxed out the drop chance and capped corruption scaling if it means you can clear faster / smoother (Usually the case anyway, but especially so in this case)
(On mg this is pretty much impossible for any lpl, needing 244556 corruption to guarantee at least 1 lp on 0lpl items)
do you have the formula for that by chance? would love to plug into my farming sheet rather than tabbing over and over to tunklab and doing guess-and-check different corruption levels to see the chances at that level vs. time it takes at a more comfortable level

2T7 are too expensive for how casual I play.
If I try to look for specific affixes it gets really expensive and I just am not good enough at the market to make that type of money. to progress.
At 500c I'm not seeing any T6/T7 drops. I think maybe I found 3-5 not sure for dagger.
I don't mind buying random T6/T7 at low prices and taking my chances on crafting to maybe get lucky. However, I have to look for these by scanning page by page for 700+ pages because we currently don't have an option in the bazaar to search for this.

so I was doing some testing and I have a question about the way damage is calculated. Based on the way the character sheet is changing while I attack, using Throne of Ambition: It seems like MORE damage is multiplying the %increased values, as opposed to other ARPGs where MORE damage is multiplied AFTER %increased modifies the flat values. Is this true?
i.e. this should be the formula from how I understand most ARPGs. Final Damage = (Base Damage + added damage) × (1 + total % increased) × (product of all MORE multipliers)
However it seems like based on the character sheet the more multipliers are actually only multiplying the %increased (at least viewing throne of ambition stacks as they go up)
The math works the same either way, the character sheet just displays that way to keep the number of stats displayed smaller as opposed to listing out every multiplier
'More' multipliers do multiply total damage like you expect. The character sheet isn't fully honest, as it does wrap up 'more' stats into the 'increased' stats that it lists. Basically, it shows the result of (1 + total % inc) * (product of more multis) - 1 in the char sheet.
Mana spent gained as ward: Does this count the base cost of an ability or only the current value?
For instance, if I reduce the cost to 0 does that mean I won't get any ward?

The only thing you would be able to snapshot would be the poison chance for the application rate I guess, I can test it and see if it snapshots.
