Yes. Definitely understand. I think it is mor of an onboarding thing. For example I unlocked Gathering Storm and I feel the tags should be at the top rather than at the end.

I think this could be really cool if you mean having certain items pop a bit more for attention. Have you checked the scaling options in-game so far? I will be honest, on the top of my head I hadn't thought of it but would totally be down for this in the #suggestions spot

I don't think theres an attack move, though just not having the skill on left click will stop you from moving and attacking so you can stand in place and cast
there should be an option under gameplay thats called like Move to melee attack enemies that are out of range... but that only kinda helps

the weird thing is, is not so much that i get 1 shotted, its that the dodge/glance is that i dont have enough of it. 30% of the time, i dont take damage, but sometimes out of nowhere i get critted and i barely see where its coming from

by far the easiest playthrough for me was the rip blood lich in death form. that one was such a no brainer. there really needs to be better balancing

I would guess like a lot of games, it just picks up the first controller device in the list. There are tools for this like devreorder but don't know if that works for LE. Worth posting a suggestion for it so they add a way to configure which device to use, probably.
HOTAS/HOSAS aren't very common setups, might explain why there hasn't been a lot of reports about it.

Shouldn't be too difficult for them to address though. LE uses Rewired which is a very robust input management plugin for Unity games.
I'm aware of another tool that exists for these scenarios, called HidHide. It's normally used in combination with PS4&5 controller emulation software, but people do also use it to hide their HOTAS/HOSAS devices from certain games.
Basically it allows you to hide a device by default from every program, while specifying a whitelist of programs allowed to see the device.

Grimlore are the devs of SpellForce 3, you might be confusing them with Ironlore (the original dev team that built TQ1) which eventually split off into Crate (the dev team behind GD).
