Okay, so dative is the hardest one to memorize but it's still pretty easy if you learn it by itself.

Masculine and neuter: dem
Feminine: der
Plural: den +n

Indefinite is easy because it's the same endings: einem, einer, einen +n

The +n means that the noun in Plural will get an extra "n" on the end.

Like... die Leute in nominative will be den Leuten in dative.

I am trying to learn German and Russian simultaneously. Does anyone have advice for how I should distribute study time between the two? As an English native, I am sure Russian will be twice as hard, so I think I should allocate it more time, but I don't know.

Well you are right about Russian being twice as hard but I think you should do something like 1 day german, 1 day Russian and try to allocate around the same amount of time for both.

Also you should try to do topics like I have "studied" Russian around 6 years, yet I know barely anything thanks to how they taught us. They taught us by teaching us one thing one week than something completely different the next. Whereas when I started learning german they taught us in topics and I know more german and I've been learning for around a year and a half.
