Ah, no, not to redo the quest. When you buy a second void egg you instantly get to see a living ship. You can turn it down and get your egg back and try in another system and so on. For those living ships you might have to pay. But no doing the quest again.

Don't know, you'll have to look at the core stats...look at the ship through thee visor...if a stat has only one number that's the core stat if it has two number with one in parentheses, the second one is the important one(the one in parentheses)...the ship with higher core stats is better.

Because it can be nice to have a "retreat" where things are familiar. Nothing stops you from ducking in to "home base" and then ducking back into the stars.
That's why we have a teleporter on our freighter - to go between the star base and the land base.
Also.. critters. You can't milk cows in an asteroid belt... YET.

I use Intel XeSS with HDR I get some pretty great performance and screenshot resolution

The only problem with HDR is it messes up normal screenshots. I had to use the Xbox Game Bar screenshot for HDR but it works great

So far most expeditions have only had 2 runs...the original run and one redux at the end of the year they originally launched in and that was IT. HG like to rerun the Beachhead expedition every single year because of the crossover with Mass Effect...beyond that and the expeditions first launching this year it's not likely. So if you missed a lot of previous expeditions they're just gone.

That timer is incorrect by 4 minutes...no idea why but weekend missions only start 4 minutes past the hour. No other timer in the game works like that....daily QS missions, frigate expeditions, Oceanus daily challenge fight, etc...all those are set when the hour turns...but not the weekend mission. Weekend mission has to start 4 minutes after the hour.

Yah, I had all Expeditions, but something damaged my save file and I lost credit for a scattering of older rewards. Luckily that was around the time they started redux replays, so I repeated a few, and also had separate save files from some older save files that when I loaded them up filled in a few more. I've been holding out hoping HG adds "on-demand Expedition replay" (lol not likely I fear), but likely will just save edit to fill in the rest from the damaged missing ones. Looks like I have some rewards from all of them, but just missing a smattering almost randomly.

Old expedition rewards returning in some other fashion (something like quicksilver rewards or as rewards in future expeditions) is far more likely than all old expeditions being made permanently available. Expeditions aren't designed to be future proof and I doubt HG would want to have to playtest them all for every single update and also tweak a bunch of them whenever an update makes significant changes

Yah, I was surprised they were able to make Expedition 2 replayable, it seemed to me more likely only the ones added after the Nexus Anomaly Expedition console was added would be, but HG always surprises us... But that was one where some of my reward damage was affected, and I just had to replay it to fix 💕

Beyond that? Hard to tell, but 5 more years already seems like a good number.

They mentioned something about wanting to update NMS alongside LNF, tho I predict the updates to become less frequent once that game is released.

I could def see NMS Updates slowing down to like only one half a year once LNF is there.

So 3 more years in total wouldn‘t even boil down to that many updates, but tbh there isn‘t even that much they could still do for NMS imo.

A poi overhaul + new ones, perhaps the WoG as an accessible realm and new endgame gameplay loop, space poi overhaul with shipyards, and more refinement to the factions & mission system…

Not much more beyond that to be done, imo.

But they mentioned seasonal arena content iirc, so that seems to be a giveaway for longer long term support.

Go to https://nmsce.com/ and pick Interceptor in the search form. You can then browse for one you like. Then use a Portal to to the planet, and fly to the coordinates given. You do need the glyphs unlocked, so depending on exactly NOW new you are, you need to do that first.

Using the Anomaly terminal you can do expeditions from your main save yes, but it was first introduced with expo 12 omega.

For the previous ones you had to make a new seperate save, unless you played them on pc using the expo offline generator which allows you to replay all of the expos.

It's an exotic ship...exotics don't come with a lot of slots...but you can upgrade it, so it doesn't matter. Well, they upgrade reasonably...60+105...so not as much cargo space as some other ships but still enough to where it shouldn't be a big deal. The real problem with that ship isn't slots though...is that its stat rolls suck...it's a REALLY bad exotic, really not good. I generally consider it to be just cosmetic trash.

You can get different modules for living ship by sending living frigates on expeditions. Sometimes living frigates will find Psyonic egg(which contain tech upgrade) or Spawning sac(storage augmentation).

Any ranked upgrade you get can be grown into S class using some nanites
