To unlock them you need to complete both the Artemis Path and Atlas Path, as well as have completed the Autophage questline - the one that introduces you to staves (staffs)

And then do the mission, In Stellar Multitudes

Do you have the Aeron Jetpack as an option for your back pack in the customizer? You get that when you first unseal a Harmonic Camp, which is needed to trigger the Autophage

I've played this game since its launch in 2016 and I found that the best way to remember things is to always focus my efforts on my main save. While I played other saves those only ever existed to get something for my main save...whether that was expedition saves before we could play them from the main save, or side saves I created just to complete challenges for player titles I couldn't do on my main save, etc. other saves only ever existed purely for enriching my main save. So I never had to worry about forgetting about which save had what. I still occasionally forget some stuff but rarely.

That depends. I mean, I was raised on ps2, ps3, wii, etc. and what my "friends" thought was terrible performance I thought was decent because it was all that I knew at the time. I mean, it still is a beautiful game on switch 1, but the frames are usually sub 30, and the planets don't have that much detail. But the gameplay is still spectacular, if you don't count the lag and being all alone in nms

The bases do actually have good limits before they crash though

I think Switch 1 version should have all missions but the corvette board specific ones

Some missions has their starting conditions changed, like Trace of Metal requiring just warping around

Plus overall missions have lower requirements, like collect less resource, kill less Sentinels, etc

I think at some point HG will have to cut the cord on the Switch 1 and let it go. It's a small miracle made it on that platform at all but they can't hold back on new content because of Switch 1. The Voyagers update brought in a lot of new players and the game hit the most concurrent players since launch...A LOT of people wanted awesome ships with interiors and likely brought in a lot of players from other space games too. No idea what the plan is for the Switch 1 version...maybe it can still receive some of the content they plan for future updates but yeah...it's by far the weaker of the "last gen" platforms and I put that in quotation marks because the Switch hardware hardly deserves to be called last gen as it's far more limited than even the base PS4 and Xbox One. HG will have to say goodbye to it sooner rather than later.

Switch 2 is pretty much on par with PS4 hardware I think and slightly better than the SteamDeck but about on par and the SteamDeck has sold very well I think...at least well enough to convince Steam to come up with more custom hardware so I think HG can still support it for now just as the PS4 and Xbox One are still just about hanging in there.

It's not full immunity based on resistance%. 100% rad protection doesn't give you full immunity.

Those resistance tech mods are basically another shield layer

The doorways between habs usually have a few visual points that lights can hide in as well. Because a lot of times when you light up the hats that light doesn't shine into the connection points. Placing lights in those corridor mesh points will fix it

• be very mindful of melee boosting;
• install the tech that regenerates jetpack fuel while you are on air as soon as you can.
  Those are the ones that come to mind...

I've played standard for a while and I reached the point I couldn't see my health bar anymore after getting naded by the sentinel mech. My modules started getting damaged, but I haven't died. Was that some ez mode protection system at play or what ends up actually killing me?

If you need to climb a mountain? Dig through the top at an angle with your terrain tool.

If you need to go down a mountain then dig down to the bottom and then dig out from the side when you get there.

Even simple jumps over big rocks and plants can do you in if you're unlucky. Keep your flatten tool on your terrain manipulator handy so you can just flatten everything in front of you as you walk. No jumping over stuff

Permadeath and survival runs are best played as a nomad. Living on your Corvette and freighter. Treating every planetary excursion as life-threatening. Limiting yourself from overexploring

This is not to say that it's absolutely riddled with death bugs that will ruin your permadeath experience. But they are there and it can happen.

Most of my permadeaths have been my own fault. But the handful of times it was a bug really sucked

Heights, not paying attention to my remaining jetpack fuel and plant hazards after making a mistake.

For some reason every time you mess up and lose a bunch of Health there always seems to be a hazardous plant right there waiting to finish you off

This is why when I play permadeath I choose the smallest body shape and gek as the race. Your diminutive stature reminds you how fragile you are while playing.

Just so you don't waste too much effort,... There is max credit limit you can have of about 4.2 billion. You will hit that limit in no time if you manage to make stasis devices that fast and then sell them.

There’s a central multiplayer location called the Anomaly that you can go to eventually. You’ll see people there. Not very often at all in the wild though.

You’d have to be in the same system as someone at the same time to see them.

That's an obscene number of habitations modules...there's no reason to have that many. And it's way too blocky...looks like it's made of legos. Also having that many engines shouldn't be possible...only three should be installed in your tech slots even if your ship physically has 50...and it's a waste of space, leaves no room for other upgrades and even at S class and 60 tech slots they will cramp your ability to upgrade other systems big time.

There are so many things you could list to quantify when speaking about "completing" NMS...but I've done pretty much everything I could think of...learned all words of all languages, have maxed out ships, MT's, exocraft, freighter, exosuit, and frigates with peak stat bonuses and tech as well as maxed X modules where applicable, unlocked all legitimately obtainable player titles, maxed standing and medals for all races and factions, built a set of farms geared towards making 120 stasis devices/day, nanite farm, farms that automate other resources. Etc. I have been pretty obsessive about doing every little thing I could think of. Right now refining some of my exosuit modules and after that all I'll have left to do is max out 4 settlements, which I'm a bit ambivalent about because they're basically worthless...but I'll probably put the time in them anyway.

Personally I just walked and drove an exocraft around paradise worlds without hazards looking for language stones for hours on end. More pleasant than spam-talking to NPCs at a million space stations but you can do that too. For Atlas language finding monoliths while working on the other languages is probably the way to go.
