I come back to NMS and my base is merged into someone else and so I pack up and move my base and now I don’t have access to my electromagnetic power source 🙄

NMS basebuilding in large groups can get funky, hopefully at some point we get a better check when we go to place a base computer. Even if a base doesn't load for you, the game should still check if that site has been claimed - so this thing can't happen on accident.

The issue is that one account can only have one base uploaded per planet in the same system. That's one for that account - so if you have a base on normal and survival on the same planet, only the most recent upload is going to show, regardless of mode.

So if you deleted a base through Base Computer, this should also happen server side. However, if the server did not get a chance to update, to then delete the save, any trace of the queue is gone too, therefor unable to update whatever was in the queue

#

Also keep in mind, that when a base is uploaded, to then delete the save, the base will remain available to others, just not to you on that account. As soon as you upload another new base with that account on the same planet, the previous base will no longer show to others either anymore, as it gets replaced with the 'latest' upload for that base on that planet, for said account
