I copied the same format for the first as i did for the other sounds and only the first sound worked. 'Busy' probably means every other issue outside of what's said in this discord. They usually get back to you within the same day, though I don't believe there's anyone just sitting and watching the discord at all times so it may take longer in the day than you would like. They assist us, especially the dream team, and however may more aren't even in this server that use stream ele, plus any sort of projects or whatever else outside of just help desk things. Putting it everywhere also means they have to then filter each channel to see if it's been answered elsewhere or if the convo is still going, which can add to the confusion. Which is why they ask us to put our questions just in the proper channel. They're humans too, give it a day

I know it is very hard for customer support, I understand. I am not saying that they are lazy or that they don't work much. I am just frustrated and it is hard when dealing with customer support. I appreciate them helping, its just waiting 5 hours and not getting many answers and seeing others get answered is pretty frustrating.

Probably because others' issues are quicker fixes and can easily be solved. Yours may be a deeper issue that staffing just isnt able to sit with you for just yet or are asking around. Just like any other service worker thing, the quick fixes get done first while more info or help is gotten for the bigger issues

I get the frustration, but please consider how what you say may come off as blaming them/calling them lazy 🙂 I'm sure it'll be gotten to by tonight

For future questions about OBS you might get better response time asking the questions in the OBS Discord. If you are streaming to Twitch the easiest way to see your viewer count on OBS would be to link your Twitch account to OBS instead of logging in using a stream key, then in the top left go to View > Docks > Twitch Stats and dock that window somewhere on your screen. It will always display you current view count, duration of stream time, clips made of current stream, total view count of all time, follower count, and current subscriber count.

If you are streaming to any other platform I have no idea.

@ivory zenith I think you downloaded their software and clicked on the StreamElements invite somewhere else, because that Discord button definitely links to their Discord server 😆

Both platforms help streamers connect to a streaming platform of their choosing (Twitch, YouTube, Trovo, etc) through the software of your choosing as well (OBS preferably).

The software you downloaded is their copy-paste version of OBS Studio (minus some features with added monetization). So if you need audio plugins to help you improve your content delivery, I'd suggest that you download OBS Studio (which is a free and open source project) and couple that with SE Live, StreamElements' plugin for OBS (that only adds features)

I can say this as an user, StreamElements definitely offers more to content creators than StreamLabs.

There's much more control of what you can do for your channel, especially without needing a subscription to have things that you can easily have through plugins (for free).

I will say after reading the article and reading back what has been said I will say about half of those widgets you can use on almost any platform. Also do understand these widgets are made by contributors from the se community as far as im aware most of these widgets are made with twitch in mind from individuals who has no direct affiliation with SE besides using there platform to create cool tools for streamers to use 🙂

Also the article's purpose seems to be a curated list of widgets made to help promote the code gurus that make widgets for the stream elements platform

to say its biased because at a glance these widgets could only work with one specific platform detracts the purpose of why that article was written in the first place. I will agree however other platforms needs more love in terms of widgets goes

Do you have the Include Alpha Channel selected when you're exporting to WebM using After Effects?

On After Effects there's a button that you can toggle transparency, I think its by the rendering preview selection (full, 1/2, etc)

Can't find a visible resolution screenshot on the web (I'm on my phone rn)

That actually just enables the transparency grid in the preview window - it's when you get to the exporting to WebM either in AE or Media Encoder that you need to check the "Include Alpha Channel" box!

If you only have the WebM file, it's not easy but you've two options - you can use KDenLive (a free video editor) to edit it or you can export the frames to individual pngs using a command line video encoder called ffmpeg and reimport them in to After Effects as an image sequence which will keep the transparency.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.

I think visually, it looks pretty good. But the intro/tutorial feels like something you'd expect to find in a sequel to a game you've already played, and have muscle-memory familiarity with the gameplay.

As the streamer , Can you add your emotes in part of the chat command ??

You can, but you have to either:

A. make sure your custom bit name is set to your username or

B. gift a sub to your custom bot.

I use option A as it let's me use all sub emotes, follower emotes and bit emotes. but some people like having a bot name different from theirs so in that case you would need to gift a sub and even then it's limited to the emotes available to the level of sub you gifted the bot. (ex. you gift a tier 1, the bot can only use tier 1 subs)

Also if you do go the route of setting the bot to your username or as a custom name, the emotes will only show up properly when you're live. If you're offline it will only show the emote name
