The point that I’m making is that if you are truly trying to promote under represented people, open it up to everyone who uses your services. Not just a specific type. A word people use to frequently is pandering, and I don’t want to believe that that’s what’s going on here but when you start to promote only one group of people, regardless of how underrepresented they are, you open the door to criticism for not including everyone who used your services

Particularly, as other users here have pointed out, a small time streamer is very under represented. We are barred from using advertising or exposure programs, most contests or programs that would help increase visibility, or even brand deals that would help generate any type of growth or revenue.

One of the things that I’m having difficulty understanding with all of this is that personally, I don’t feel the need to use my nationality or sexual orientation as a advertising or growth tool.

While I would love to grow off of my own merits and personality, I see it is all too frequent now that websites and platforms are providing programs to those who would rather use their orientation, status, nationality, etc. as a crutch for garnering additional views or growth… And personally I find that extremely offensive comparing to anyone who either doesn’t have any of those qualities or refuses to use…or EXPLOIT…them

And as @north shale and @mystic glacier have said, it’s pretty offensive to leave a bunch of people who’ve used your services for a long time, even when there were “better” options out there.

I’m willing to bet there were some people here who were only here because they enjoyed the community before this type of divisive action

For that one specific program, we were focused on uplifting specific groups and individuals who have been undeniably proven to not only be underrepresented, but also discriminated against. We have a lot of other programs an initiatives that are focused on the community as a whole. We encourage you to check out those if you are so inclined.

Anyone ever had the issue of no game audio in an mp4 recording mkv files don’t like to play on my media player so I switched it to mp4 and I’m not getting any game audio recording only video

Yes.

You want to Remux the recording so it merges the audio channels. MKV allows for multiple audio channels and often if you are taking advantage of the seperate channels for streaming/recording for post, then you can easily/usually right click the video during playback to "select audio track" and whichever you chose your audio track for game audio/desktop audio, you can select it.

Remuxing it is like "flatten project" in photoshop, while creating a (usually) mp4 video.

Ahh okay I usually have my recording going as I’m streaming so that way I can easily go bad and edit what I want being that twitch removes your live streams over time

Yeap! I do the same! I usually have a replay buffer set up so when im being exceptionally stupid and want to catch the last minute or so, I just hit the button on my stream deck or keyboard and grab it.

I have it set up to automatically remux the recording for most cases, but in others...like when my discord is being very unruly, I go in the MKV and edit out the track of them being...them.

being honest, since they announced they remove the streams AND since the DMCA crap started, I dont even bother keeping any vods. Nor do i allow capture of clips for that reason.

Not gonna get nabbed on some crap for a tiny bit of audio thats in game, or something. Particularly learned my lesson when trying to stream Kingdom Hearts collection on my ps4...

I was like for 6 minutes...then instantly blocked. Why? surprisingly it wasnt any of the music...

I got hit for Donald Duck's voice...

As much as I really want to stream those games, since im not big, it just simply isnt worth it to risk it.

Both StreamElements and Streamer.bot are connected to the same twitch bot account if that makes a difference. Obviously if it would involve too much tinkering around don't worry too much about it!

I've never streamDeck or OBS websockets; that would be the hardest part. If you figure that out; then it's just spin() basically in the widget 🤣

when you are editing your overlay, click the blue circle with a + on it and add Alerts>Alert box, after you add it you will have a tool bar that says EMULATE with a bell icon over it and you can test your alerts with that
