yeh deffintly. but there are a lot of console stream who not able to buy a stream laptop/pc with capture card but can affort 15 dollar a month on lighstream and is able to put all the SE overlays and allerts in in

I've been using slobs and streamelements separately for different things

Does streamelemenrs have the cloud overlay and bots for streaming from pc tho?

With streamlaba I'd get thr cloudbot3when I did direct from console streams (I'm exhausted like that sometimes ), but ofc the overlays didn't work.. but they always worked between my different setups (one pc, yes, also a gift, and one laptoo)

I'm expecting a huge fight tbh as not only does OBS use the OBS name so does SE with OBS.live, Slobs will be lucky to get away with using OBS base code if there not careful as I'm not sure if what there doing breaks the licence agreement SLOBS is built ontop of.

it's more complicated than that. if it wasn't for the lightstream website stealing thing, i wouldn't have even considered leaving slobs because they aren't doing anything the GPL isn't meant for. the whole purpose of GPL is to take a fork, build your thing, and sell it

Well I am also a survivor of the slobs war and I am looking for something to replace a tipping page. The Profile Page looks like a good start but it doesn't seem to have as much customisability as SL tipping page. This isn't a criticism, I was just wondering whether I was missing something, as in almost every other aspect SE seems to have more customisability and granularity (especially with overlays). It's okay if not, since so far it seems to be the best replacement that I have seen so far!

If you're in your dashboard and you navigate into your Tipping settings under the Revenue tab on the left, you should see some options to update imagery and text displays. You can even set your suggested tip amounts too. Is this what you were looking for?

So er, I don't quite know where to ask this and I did post something last night. I am planning on streaming some TCG content and wondering if StreamElements would let me have a lifecounter as part of the overlay. Basically what it would mean is that my life total/score and my opponents life total/score could be managed on some device like my phone, and as I update the values then those would be updated on the screen display.

Looking for something a bit nicer than putting my phone down on the table with the totals.

You can have a custom widget with a variable that is updated with a chatcommand. You can make the command only usable by you (top level, creator) and use streamdeck on your phone to post the message to your chat.

Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

I just switched to StreamElements from a certain competitor due to certain actions they've taken against OBS. I can say that the migration process was easy and that your OBS plugin does everything that the other guys's software did and better! Your scene layout designer is easy to use and I look forward to eventually diving in to more of your community features (if/when I have a community).

I just wanted to say thank you for your products and services and for how easy they are to use. I wish I had always been with you.

I don't know about their OBS plugin's capability on Linux, but I do know OBS itself works with Linux, as does the Scene Composer and chatbot.

I would wanna switch over my alerts and widgets to streamelements... but honestly... my brainfog is just too severe, or the function is too confusing because I can't get it to work. If my alert boxes is messing next stream it's because I did click around a bit.

My alerta and widgets are SLOBS, but I have stream elements in my OBS... so it's all imported from SLOBS... and I can't work the SE website making it from scratch. I tried once and failed miserably

And because of my multiple illness it's difficult for me to learn new things, so it's like extra difficult because of that. I also don't have much energy to spend on trying to learn it better

So I did try and add one alert that's 100% SE... But couldn't try it out

So going to point this out, SE has a chrome plugin that allows you to import your alerts from stream labs to Stream elements. In addition Eposvox has posted a complete tutorial on how to import everything for those who are coming from SL.

At 11 upload and to have constant quality, you need to consider everything using the internet. The game, stream, any apps of your pc, other people/devices connected

A good rule I found is set your stream to 70-85% of your total upload, then go from there

Yeah, no you should be fine. I had around those upload speeds myself. It's just a matter of finding the settings that work for you
