Not really wanting to search through years of chat to find my answer and all the Google answers are pre 28 update. Having an issue when trying to stream to Facebook. Says can't connect to server. Did everything the website said and still no go. Been absolutely nothing but issues since I've updated to 28. Was super excited but nothing but frustrated now. To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. hey. when i create a custom chat command, i can give it a user and global cooldown. however the cooldowns i set (5 seconds for both) aren't having an effect, followers still have to wait 30 seconds - is there a setting somewhere else that might be overriding this?

The "Latest Follower" value is set by the labels in session data not by the data provided by twitch.
if you click the computer in the overlay editor (top right), it shows that this value is blank. This is due to the "auto session reset" setting being turned on. To disable this, goto the session data (computer in the top right of the overlay editor OR StreamElements Dashboard > Activity Feed > session data) then goto settings.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

To set up the bot for your YouTube stream, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
  2. Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
  3. Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
  4. When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

I would like to confirm that there is no scam. The issue you might be seeing is folks who have subscribed to you but canceled before getting their box. This in turn, means we have to go look at all your subscriptions and see which ones were real (folks didn't cancel before getting the box) and the ones who aren't real (folks who canceled before even getting their first box). This also means we need info from HelloFresh to make sure we're getting all the accurate information to analyze each situation. It currently takes us some time to perform this investigation, but this is something that we're working hard everyday to make it a faster and smoother process

The problem is that I already started my campaign and streamed 1h and put it a lot of new registered and completed tutorial accounts and nothing has been accounted for on the SE. Sponsorship campaign website. Not new accounts, not streamed time, nothing. I've already put work into this and need to have it sorted so I can do my job you see... Hi, could any SE staff help in expanding on your "legitimate subscription" description for our HelloFresh sponsorships? I've seen staff state that a legitimate subscription only applies to our viewers who canceled upon receiving their box - however there are viewers who cancelled the subscriptions prior to receiving their box but still rightfully getting charged. How would this not count towards a legitimate subscription if the user is charged regardless of cancelling prior to or after receiving their box?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

does anyone know if there is a limit to how many layers you can have in an overlay? i was trying to do all my alerts in one overlay and it was only going to be like 17 layers max but i cant seem to add anymore layers after the 8th nor can i add anymore variations. technically i can add them but when it says saving at the bottom right and stayed that way for an hr b4 i refreshed the page and it brought me back down to the 7 layers.

It's always been in there, they just reworded it slightly:
