I made the switch to streamelements two days ago and ever since then, my streams are constantly dropping in kb/s? I have poor upload speed with my internet but it has never affected me before I made this switch?

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

I'm trying to add a hype cup where it shows cheers but when I got to make a variation it won't bring anything up to change amount. When i try to change some of the premade ones images nothing changes either. No matter what I do it shows some weird picture of like ice cubes or something

that depends on the sources. you have to use the same sources from whatever service you use for the tipping. so if you use streamelements for your tipping, you have to use the tip alert from streamelements

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I've just worked this out myself, you have to click on the goal, then Session Data on the top right, then go to the Session Data tab then reset it from there. I know, very intuitive. No idea why they don't separate those into the respective layers.

Or just have a quicker access button to reset session data, or just reset it automatically on the date that I ask it to.

It is not possible to determine the duration of a command. The only thing you can do related to time is setting the cooldown, so the same person (or another one) cannot run the same command in that timeframe.

Streamelements has a tutorial for how to do it on their youtube channel. keep in mind you still risk live DMCA takedown if you use something you dont have a license for. so still risky, even if twitch isnt currently being aggressive with their live takedowns. i personally use Pretzel Rocks, basic membership is free and has thousands of DMCA safe songs. there are other music services available as well that will grant you licenses to use the songs. unfortunately pretzel doesnt currently have a plugin to allow users to add requests from their library, but its something theyre planning to add.

If you are using the total follower/total subscriber widget, reset your session from the Activity Feed to fetch updated data from twitch. If you’re using goal widgets, you can edit the progress of any goal by going to Activity Feed > Widget Data > Goals. This can also be found in the Overlay Editor by selecting DATA (next to WIDGETS) > Goals.

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Click on Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

Looks like you do have it enabled. To revert it, go to your activity feed > click the cog in the top right corner > revert to previous version. There is a known issue with AF 2.0 and custom bot names

Okay, this is not so much a streaming issue but more a general Streamelements issue, but I see no option where to put this. So....
I have two channels linked to my account, one YouTube and one Twitch. I'm going to stream to them simultaneously.
I see SE dashboard only shows my data for YouTube. Also, the widgets options in the overlays ONLY show options for YouTube.
How can I get it to work AT THE SAME TIME for Twitch.
For example:
Subscribers YouTube
Members YouTube
Followers Twitch
Subscribers Twitch

Also, I tried to find an option to remove my YouTube channel to see if it would then show me Twitch related options, but I couldn't remove a channel? What the heck? That's not logical.

My priority is, obviously, with the first problem. How do I fix it?

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

I’ve disabled Windows 10 game dvr. I’ve done the twitchtest for bandwidth to see which server is best. I’ve made sure all my drivers are updated. I’m using an Ethernet cable. I still get extreme fps drop as soon as I start streaming. And it’s not always there it’s like every 4 to seconds it will drop 45-50 fps and the actual gameplay for me starts getting choppy and screen tearing (COD:MW2)

Sorry for the delay... No, they only told me that, that the problem is SE.Live, and that for OBS Studio to work well I have to uninstall SE.Live...
Then I did the test and it's true, uninstalling SE.Live OBS Studio works correctly.
The bad thing is that I use the SE.Live plugin a lot, so I am forced to downgrade to previous versions of OBS Studio.

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

When I try to emulate the follower alert, it shows perfectly in OBS and audio and video wise. When I start to go live and someone follows, nothings is happening. Like no one did follow. If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Yesterday her channel was flooded with bot follows by a random person (she did not ask for this) and in the process of cleaning up a little she accidentally banned the bot but then unbanned it today. She did go into the website itself and parted the channel and readded it to the channel but it's still not working

She never changed her username or login information either

Hola, I got a question, a streamer I manage (Shes streaming while i'll fix her sh*t) is having some issues with the activity feed on SE Dashboard, not all the bit's come through in the event list. For example I just gave 500 bits (5x100 in rapid succession) and it only shows up 100 in Activity Feed, neither it seems the overlay is registering all the bits.

Hi we are having some issues with the Loyalty System. We activated it and changed the points people should be getting for watching but it just doesnt work. Some people get points but only for following but never for watching. The watchtime does not get tracked as well. What could be the problem here? (Streamelements is a mod on the channel)

I was curious if anyone knew the answer for a particular question about a raid sponsorship goal. The promoting it, chat command, and overlays obviously all have to be done, as it has in the other two sponsorships I've done, but what threw me off was there being 3 different money goals for it. One says bonus for buying a pack so presumably that's optional, but there's one for 5 players to play level 12 and another for 2 players to hit level 25...I was curious if both of the level goals had to be finished for it to count or if I only did the two people to 25 if the campaign would still be able to be completed?

the ones as bonus goals are just extra goals to get paid more. you only need to hit your main goals. the rest is extra. the one for getting reimbursed for putting money in, its important to know you wont get that back right away, its like 30 days later

Hello, i hope i got the right channel. My problem is that KappaGen show only two emotes from a command. I created a command ( !hype with this emotes: blobDance catJAM Dance PartyKirby RainbowPls ). The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

As this information comes from Twitch, it would be repopulated once you start getting new subscribers, so I don't think it would be possible from Streamelements side. You would need to clear that information from Twitch itself, and that isn't possible.

nope, they dont do that. unfortunately pretzel also doesnt have that at the moment either, although its a planned feature. there is a bot though, havent tried it, but ive read it will let you get song requests from spotify. its called moo bot

check that, i just saw that spotify itself disabled the bots from fetching requests a while ago. not sure if moo bot is still able to do that or if !song is the only thing that works just like the rest, just shows current song

probably a plugin that reads your chat for the request is your best bet on that one

Yeah been testing all day. I have also tried the testing tool to twitch servers and I have good connection. I was chatting to day with someone from SE on twitter, sending logs and stuff, at the end they advised that its just my ISP. But I can stream with the Twitch studio software just fine ..

hmmm try the auto config tool in OBS. it should try and find servers to test itself with on its own. is that able to locate one?

also, if you have a youtube account, try doing a test stream to that one. see if that one will do it. i know some ISP's out there arent very stream friendly, so always a chance you might have to give them a call to see if its on their end

Have you adjusted the variants?

To do this open the overlay editor and click the alertbox layer > settings > Alert type > Variation settings.

From there you can either adjust or disable the variants.

Good afternoon. I’ve finally hit a wall and I’m finally caving.

I use a single overlay within streamelements with just alerts. My broadcast system is OBS. My elements is embedded into a Scene that also contains all my video/sound sources that work through triggerfyre and my sound deck. That entire scene is a nested scene that gets embedded/copied/duplicated into all my other scenes as a source.

For a while now, I’ve been using almost all of my alerts with a Video, not an image and mp3 sound. Recently my alerts have paused or stuttered. This is my sub alert recently that did a complete stop. I included the original video for reference.

May I have insight as to why this is happening? I’ve run out of ideas after a battery of tests. Thank you!

depends on what you do really. if youre a small streamer, you probably dont need mods yet. but as you grow, keeping tabs on chat and also doing whatever you do on stream can become harder. the bots can only do so much. beyond just user moderation, they can also run different things for you like challenges, competitions, etc.. theyre basically assisting you

Hey im not really sure where to put this question because the SE Support doesnt have a specific enough Support Branch for me to ask about this..

Im in the middle of a War Thunder Sponsorship Campaign, and im supposed to earn a payment for every 5 Missions(games) Completed, with at least 1 shot hit landed on the enemy. Ive done over 20 battles and landed a hit every game. Yet my progress bar has only gone up by 1. Will this sort itself out or is it just not being registered? Because my VOD will show I met the requirements.

Could it potentially change after the campaign is "over" and under review? Or am I just out the time I spent on this stream?

I just did a window capture with spotify, and used the crop function in OBS Studio (Hold Alt and click/drag sides of the window in) in order to just show the now showing part of the spotify window.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi y'all! Hope I am asking this in the correct place: The last two days I have been having issues with the Activity Feed Dock in OBS (I'm using SE.Live Docks and everything is up to date). It seems to no longer be updating when I receive any sort of activity. I have to right click on the dock and hit "refresh page" in order to see the subs, bits, tips, and follows that have been received since the last time I hit "refresh page". I did get the updated Activity Feed UI but chose to revert to the original UI as it allowed me to mark activity as seen as well as click on peoples names to open up a web browser tab with their Twitch page. Ever since that update I have not been receiving updates to my dock without a page refresh. I've tried disabling the dock and re-enabling it but that didn't seem to do anything. I have also tried changing back and forth between the old dock and new just to see if it got hung up on something but that didn't work as well.

Any idea what I can do to get my Activity Feed dock back in working order? Thanks!

Question, for the past few days now when i load set games if i click on the games any overly i have will freeze and stop working, yesterday i got 2 of the 3 currently game fixed by changing secure boot to "other os" from windows one, after that dark and darker just still would not work even though someone else i know not having problems. question is has anyone else had this happen and or found a fix? iv tried removing plugins and even clean wiped OBS with no luck so I'm out of ideas

so i found it out with some tweaking, seems dark and darker has a bug currently with max frame limit if that is set to your true max (for the monitor your using) it will lag any other app in the background

Affiliate is not a requirement for SE.Pay. It is based on number of followers and usually you need to show it is an active streaming account.

Okay, so I am trying to use the modules to automatically shout out the person who raided and then add another message to give a brief description of who I am for the new viewers ... but I can't figure out how to get them both to trigger. What do the numbers mean on the side? I have the first one triggering right away which is good but the second part isn't going.

There is no way to have both trigger, each message is an option and it will pick one randomly (or it will alternate, I don't remember)

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
