I know it's still something the team wants to improve and maybe your build will give them a clue as to what might trigger the issue, because most builds are not nearly that bad, usually just the occasional patch (you can see examples in #screenshots-and-art and #1200109637815517184 )

i believe you might be right with that blocks might influence fog. or at least the color of it too. for example the well blocks give fog a more green transparant color. maybe the starter woodblock attrackts in general a little bit more fog too

@sand helm As Adall pointed out, the "clipping" from the doorframe is a intended thing. Most of the time you get better results with these doors if you use the blocks matching said door. In your case, the door is mostly desert-oriented.

#patch-notes They fixed the Honey/Wax bug last patch, however if you have a save from before that time, it's possible that some of the honey/wax still remains on your base. They also fixed the crop duping issue in that patch, but if you still have a lot of crops it could still cause crashes if your GPU can't handle it all.

Before February 25th, if you had a beehive inside the boundaries of your altar and it was removed, the hive that isn't there would continually drop honey/wax, leading to thousands of entities that took up system resources and could cause performance issues or crashing.

There were no crashes, even lags on our server in February. Sometimes I was seeing extra Wax and Honey under the tree, but I thought it's normal.

Yeah I am kinda hooked on building games. Ships and water are a huge bonus. Just got done playing Fountian of Youth it kept me interested for a good long time

Enshrouded has the best build system I've encountered but it's still lacking in some basic things like angles and rounds.

I think that the fixed grid is necessary in order to avoid clipping entirely.

Valheim doesn't have a grid, so it's possible to clip structures through each other.

It can look ugly or pretty, but there's resources wasted.

In Enshrouded, you can't waste resources since you have control over every voxel.

You place one block and it consumes one block from the inventory.

If they add angles, it'll get a bit complicated.

If you attach an angled block to a normal block, it'll either clip or less than a block will be taken from your inventory.

The simplest way is to just let it clip.

The way angled blocks usually work in voxel games is that they still take up the space a full block would, but have a specific shape to them. Roofblocks are like that in Enshrouded already, even at 45 degrees, with only half the cube taken up, they still technically take up the whole cube. They will likely implement the same with 45 degree wall pieces.

The "dead grass" and other decorative terrain and block features in the game are based on their location in the game - there isn't any way of changing that, as it's static for the blocks/terrain.

Wish they would change the magic chest so only the symbols on the front glowed instead of the entire chest it sticks out like a sore thumb. Would make the symbols easier to see too and quickly know what size the chest is.

Just put a bright blue flow on the symbols, even make them twinkle a little but all covered in blue glow like that looks terrible and detracts from the very nice rustic look of the natural wood and metal

About Server Wipes & Character Resets...

... On the topic of "wipes", we do not have any plans to force wipes at any time. However being early access and being that a LOT will change and be added to the game over time, we can't guarantee that there might not be a major update that requires old saves to break.

Also being that so much is changing, there is always the chance that an update might break old saves, so I recommend backing up saves you really care about if this would be something that is the end of the world for you as a player.

But yeah, we're not planning on intentionally doing this, but we also can't guarantee it will "never happen" either, since there's a lot of unknown variables in the future.

If that's the case, why is that not what's happening? When I place dirt blocks, green grass gets spawned like it would be the springlands dirt. The other option just using limestone gives me only rockface so I guess I'm confused as to why I cannot get dead grass in a dead grass biome

Oh you are saying when you place dirt down it's giving you the green grass instead of the desert grass... gotcha - You can use the rake to move the biome specific dirt into place.

Only if it is inside your flame altar area. With buildings you need to use the hammer, then place a wall or floor over part of the building, then remove the wall/floor again.

I wouldn't worry about not getting back runes from weapons, most people have an abundance of runes by the time they hit mid teens levels from breaking down scrap quality weapons.
It would be nice to get back like 1/2 of the materials from crafted armors.
