Hey guys. My vencord is gone. I cannot find the "vencord" bit in the settings tab, and none of my plugins seem to be working. Basically, discord functions as it would without vencord.
I use the browser version of discord, and violentmonkey to manage the userscript.
I have already tried reloading discord, reinstalling vencord (and then reloading discord), removing and then reinstalling violentmonkey (and then reinstalling vencord and reloading). Just in case reloading didn't do everything it should, I also opened a new tab and opened discord there. It didn't do anything. (of course, I also tried just waiting some)
in #1257025907625951423 , #faq , #info and the search results for "vencord gone" I didn't find anything that I have not done.
I don't remember if I did anything weird that led to it crashing because of the time between, but I don't think there was anything that clearly led to vencord crashing.
One thing that could have caused this is the fact that this is my school laptop, and I don't know what the school admins did with it. On the other hand, vencord has worked on this laptop before. (and I didn't give the laptop to the school admins the moment between vencord working and vencord not working) I do know it's not the school wifi blocking it because it doesn't work at home either. I'm at school now.

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

For some time i have a weird bug where vencord discord creates duplicate tabs, it seems to happen when i play games (not only then) it starts as two and then they keep multiplying , if i close discord they all become these weird empty tabs that i cant close with ctrl w or process manager or anything (they dont appear in process manager).The only solution i have found is shutting down my pc.

Hey, I need some help cuz I've tried everything and nothing's working.

So yesterday I had my PC reinstalled, and had to download everything all over again. I got Discord and Vencord back, set my status like I had it before, and it worked fine. Then I switched to "streaming" status from "playing" and added my Twitch link. I was super hyped to see the purple icon on my profile, but when I checked my profile from my alt account, the status wasn’t showing for anyone else just me.
Since then, I deleted both Discord and Vencord, went through every possible fix with ChatGPT, but it’s still not working. At first, I thought maybe the "streaming" status was the issue since I couldn’t even remove the link. It only disappeared after I pressed "win+R" and searched through one of the files to delete the link.

I’m just stumped, everything else seems to be fine.

So i just installed vencord chrome extension due to the UI change and set it to "not eligible" Was working perfectly all day yesterday.

opened discord on chrome today and this server and another server is missing the member list. however on all the other servers it shows up.

so i checked and more specifically the member list is shown but its moved off screen cause i can see the scroll bar but when i click hide list it removes the scroll bar and the chat box icon cause it has extended past the screen.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

So I'm getting an issue where after using the experiments setting to revert to the old UI via control bucket, elements of the UI do not show up on the screen, as if the resolution on the right side of the screen thinks its wider than it is

And if this is just a "Everyone is now on the experimental UI and so the old UI is already broken due to changes applied only to the new UI" issue, could someone potentially link me a theme/CSS set for the new UI that's working to undo all the inane and aggravating changes associated with it

you're looking for "themes" that don't exist yet

either way, the old ui will die completely at some point in the future, might as well just get used to the new ui because they'll be no going back

So I've been using vencord for like 2 days now without any issues
I've switched to the old UI and everything's been working great
Now just half an hour ago, I was using the search function in a channel to find an old message and scrolled a lot
The issue is that for that particular channel, the members list is pushed in to the right now and when I click on search is goes even further in
I tried uninstalling vencord and deleting the local data for it but even after a reinstall it's there and only in that channel

No, no requests, no you cannot use BD plugins on vencord, they have to be written for vencord, if you know how to program do whatever you want

You cannot use BetterDiscord plugins on Vencord. (Nor plugins of any other mods)

You can only use plugins made specifically for Vencord.

Yeah this is the same issue I have and it's caused by discord basically pushing something on the UI that breaks it for anyone who happens to be using the old UI

my discord just updated and even with the experimental UI revert, it's still got new ui elements and everything is broken. without them on my voice call pictures are clipping off the screen

From the response here, either we gotta deal with the buggyness of the old UI or the bull(don't remember the profanity rules on this server) of the new UI as it updates further, at least until someone comes up with a theme/CSS to fix it

New user for Vencord (mainly due to the UI), and the fix of using the experiment plugin was working. However, today's update has broken that fix. The bar at the top of each channell now scretches depending on the name/description/sub-threads that exist. As though the screen is extremely zoomed in, but not properly formatted. IDK if there's a workaround to this, but wanted to make sure someone is aware of this. Not the only one experiencing it either.
