Im still waiting for an update about this problem. there are links that discord does not allow you to copy, and open it as a new window if you use discord on web version. Vencord uses the web version of discord so if i try to connect an account for example, discord opens it as a new window and does not open it in the browser. This should be fixed for the links that discord doesn't allow you to copy/the links that opens in a new window

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I noticed despite having working vaapi according to vainfo and having the vaapi decoder and encoder flags in my vesktop.desktop file, screensharing uses absolutely no hardware acceleration, it seems to use h264 according to debugging.
Are there any workarounds or solutions to this?

additionally, nvidia-smi and nvtop shows that vesktop is using 0% encoding or decoding while screensharing. this is ok if i am streaming without audio, but as soon as audio is used, the stream becomes unwatchable

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

i wanted to submit a github bug report, but was lead here

on an arch kde system, with nvidia proprietary drivers and wayland, pasting into the vencord client straight up does not function after awhile, at seemingly random. "ctrl+v" stops working for both text and images in this state.
this bug also occurs in the standard discord app on my system. if i use the discord web client in firefox, however, text and images will paste just fine with ctrl+v.

however, as per a kde feature, if i m3 (middle click) into vesktop with text copied, it will still successfully paste, even if i can't ctrl+v. though, only if i'm in a situation that i cannot "ctrl+v", images will still break with a middle click paste; they send with literally no content in them. however, if i can still "ctrl+v", middle clicking images will paste them just fine and send as normal.
ctrl+v breaking will occasionally un-break itself and begin working again, too, but it's rare. i haven't experienced this much.
restarting vesktop has no effect on whether pasting works or not.

someone more qualified could tell me if this is a problem with my system or with vesktop, but i don't have this issue in any other application on my computer. what should i do?

i can attest, by the way, my personal fix was just to always minimize the application, or if you like closing it, just open vesktop from the system tray badge

I see, thanks then. Unfortunately that's not really an option either as that's just supporting Google monopoly. There's the userscript but it's painfully limited, and Vesktop is not quite cool as it, to my knowledge, bundles up Electron along and miserably hogs some resources off you, plus it's kinda unnecessary as Discord works just fine on web.
I figured the Firefox extension was at least supported on the minimum you provide it still as downloadable on Github and still usable perfectly fine on Firefox, including cloud function and others. It's just the QuickCSS itself that has a blank screen.
