Idk if this idea has been covered yet seeing that CNS is widely accepted to be a group of former employees that worked on the game before the AI was installed, but I was thinking that maybe CNS isn't just former employees. Maybe the first iteration of the AI IS CNS and because of it being unstable they replaced it with the AI that currently runs the game. It would give more motivation why CNS hacked the AI in the first place and why it was able to get access to the admin files (SYS$HORIZON) and why Vaiiya is having such a hard time fully removing CNS from the game. It would also make sense why Scotty and June have a very obvious hate towards CNS even when their presence made the popularity of the gameshow rise.
This are just some thoughts I had while getting into the lore of The Finals I am by no means an expert in lore and I just wanted to share my thoughts

The CEO being AI doesn't mean the entire company is made of machines it just sells its variation of chips and competes with other implants while doing some cybersecurity stuff on the side for multico. Something being AI or not probably wont even matter at some point cause the lines will get blurred

I have a theory on how the devs made the brand names, obviously they aren’t English words so they must be generated by a fake word generator the fact the most sponsor name are 6 letters and not a real word supports this. If there was tons of fully developed lore beyond the Easter eggs then chances are it would have been released already. I’m not saying that this game is dead but the player base is shrinking and doing so monthly. Unless something changes (I’m hoping for it) it will be gone in another year or year and a half. An interesting story would at least bring in the lore nerds and raise the game’s profile on places like YouTube. Most likely it’s a loose but large set of details in a Rob’s head that isn’t really interesting enough to spend the money on developing into cutscenes or videos.

I really think CNS will make a comeback in S6. They will probably be back for the Easter event, as it was the case last year with S2 in which we had a first glimpse at who they were. Also the colors of Easter kind of match the color palette of CNS and SYS$Horizon. I would even say that maybe it will be like that every year in the future, where CNS would come back once a year (S2, S6, S10, etc.) and then disappear again. Of course, this is just speculation but I think it would build some form of hype around them coming back every year which would be interesting.

people think that a hacker group should have been introduced later but it kinda makes sense. the finals was a brand spanking new gameshow in season one, and beta and alpha is when scotty and dede played. they didn't have viiya as a security measure yet, and thus were going to be pretty vulnerable off drop. so season two getting hacked makes sense, it was easy and CNS got control until the finals/multico had to get outside help -in viiya- and made a deal to sponser them, for security in return. now we know viiya didnt do a good enough job and thus they had to reset the system. this is why kyoto is 1562 instead of modern day. so we know viiya didnt fully get rid of CNS on their own, they only slowed them down enough to get the system reset, so CNS probably can and will get back in with some elbow grease.

This is kind of what my theory is on the whole thing. CNS isn't just a hacker group, but it's more of a virus that got in through Volpe's tech that messes with a person's CNS. Therefore when the operators of the game noticed this they called in cyber-security company Vaiiya to get rid of them. Later on to help protect the contestants from being controlled by the hacker group CNS, they created a brain chip that goes into a person's CNS and protects them.

i believe CNS is going to attack again, but They are like trying to take back the finals, maybe their leader is the previous finals owner and later they were forced to leave the game show and then MultiCo took everything
