How can you tell which map you're on? I usually check for the static portal exits on darkanddarker.map, but there are like 6 crypt maps, and it takes me minutes to figure out which one I'm on.

When you spawn you can see the module you’re in , alt tab and find it on the interactive map, if you have to you can look at the module next to the one you spawned in and check the map to see those two next to eachother , should only take a minute

While playing Dark and Darker, I noticed my computer was reaching temperatures of 100 degrees Celsius, causing it to shut down. Concerned, I turned to a subreddit for advice and found out that this was a common issue. The solution suggested was to reinstall both the launcher and the game.

Whenever I kill someone and loot their body, after i'm done with picking stuff that i need, i just drop everything else from the body on the ground.

So if other players stumble upon that body, they cannot easily inspect items that were on the body. They have to pick items one by one. And if you full inventory, sometimes that's a pain, you have to drop something, then pick one thing up, then drop it etc.

I think im failing to understand the spell overload perk. "Reduce memory capacity bonus by 60%.." that one makes sense.

"..and increases all spells counts by 60%" I though this made sense, it would increase how many times you can cast each spell. But I when I equip that perk, only some of the spells counts go up (ignite and magic lock) but none of the other ones seem to budge.

You can also just move left when fighting the centaur, and whenever he swings horizontally you just have to crouch, look down, and move to the right... He only has 2 attacks. One overhead that you can dodge just by continuiously going left, and then the side swipe which like I said you just gotta crouch, look down, and move to the right... Hey man the best advice I can give that solved my crashing was :
to search %appdata% and delete as much as you can in the IRONMACE folder. It won’t let you delete everything. And then reinstall game. Doing this will completely reset your settings in game but it seemed to solve my random crashes to desktop

Just a suggetion - create a channel that has polls made from ironmace, no discord chat from anyone but IM/dev team/disc team and creates an alert whenever a poll is made from the devs (similar to an announcement, so people can see the poll and have input). I love the game, but I feel like its getting pretty rough with the low player count. If ironmace wants to get feedback from players, this would be an organized way to do this. Create polls on a daily basis to see what players are or are not enjoying and where Ironmace can make improvements.

Teaming in solo is allowed as long as it was organic teaming formed in the dungeon and not organized before. It doesn't happen often but whenever I encounter teaming I usually assume they met in dungeon unless they're completely silent the whole time, then it gets a little suspicious

I really had the most fun in the game going Ruins > Crypts > Hell. I think they missed they’re missing an untapped market and what truly makes the game potentially unique as a selling point. Linking every map. Make the game dark and darker. The further into darkness you plunge, the better the loot but also the harder it gets. Make 2-3 different cycles. Ruins > Crypts > Hell. That’s a good theme. Then go Frost Mountain > Goblin Caves > New Map in a dark forest grove or something fighting little pigmy midgets in little tribe huts with spears. Tons of creeks and rivers to escape on. Big scary big foot boss monster or something. You tempt players to delve further but also provide an escape at each level for those who can’t go any further in.

Yes I get your point, it was cool. But whit the actual inventory system of the game the 3 floor game was way too much loot. It lack maybe a npc between floor to "save" one or few item and extract it or stuff like that I don't know. Don’t panic, try to pull mobs 1 at a time until you feel comfortable. Strafing backwards is faster than S key. A good way of dealing w/ mobs is to bait their attack first and then punish when they miss. For ranged mobs it’s usually best to dodge perpendicular, aka side step just don’t be in melee/point blank range. For blocking it’s all about distance and aiming directly at the weapon, the closer you are the more you’ll have to turn camera

There' is a goblin quest giving one gold coin bag (1000g bag) thats is not that hard to get. You can buy some in thearket place it cost between 3.5 ans 4k gold. And you can craft them after doing a few quest with the leathersmith, it cost 1 troll pelt and 4 wolf pelt. Troll pelt are a bit hard tonget, but you can also only farm the wolf pelt and buy the troll one, i'll cost less than buying the whole bag

Yep and try keeping him in the middle of the room, rock fall faster on the side of the room so the jump timing is different. (That has to be checked but him pretty sure it work like that)

It can take some time but nothing impossible, you can make it! Try finding people and doing them in duo trio it might be easier

If you are trying to do game only to make quest (kill quest especially) you can go in normal, basic kit and when you and your team put a good fight asked them to let you kill the last guy, even if some die it's not that important if you get the kill. It can take time doing that way buy you'll end up getting those 7 kill

Because that's not how the magic staff work, It only do that whit the wizard if you have the Staff mastery perk

But the magical weapon damage on the magic staff will buff your blow of corruption for exemple. BoC will deal more damage with a magic staff than a normal weapon (execpt maybe if the weapon have a huge amout of magical damage on it and you have a crystal ball in the other hand)

you have to be in the correct season (High Roller Season 1 & 2) and mode (solos, duos, trios) and then click claim on the reward. If you can't get any then you might be either on the wrong character or not accually have hit pathfinder.

An easy fix would be to make it so void deaths make the items unretrievable by the merchant.

If you have no good gear, you can try looting in highroller with normal gear, and once u actually make it out with some decent stuff then you can attempt pvp in HR. But imo HR is generally made for when you've already built a good inventory, and now you want to use your gear. If you want to PVP in HR you're going to want 299 gear score to be equal with everyone else in the sub 300 lobbies.

It's pretty much an entire blue kit, maybe a purple. You'll easily hit 310, then you drop some bandages and you'll hit 299. It's pretty simple to hit 299 now that we can see our gear score in inventory.

Nah screw normals unless you really want to. What I always do is play solo into HR Ice Caverns and just farm up (looting lions head, golden chests, and killing sub bosses). Get comfortable with all the static escape locations and just lock down an escape early. If you hear or see someone, turn around and go the opposite direction. This tactic might be boring but you can load up on wealth/gear pretty fast

What is considered min maxxing gear? Everyone I try to join for HR either kicks me or tells me I'm not geared enough even though I'm hitting 290 ~ 299.

Min maxxing 299 that mean have the best blue gear possible with really good stat etc. But try to stay under 299. Just having a blue stuff with poor stat won't be enough

If I remember you'r playing rogue, so you should try to focus Additionnel and true damage that's the stat that would give you the more damage. Also try to get some HP, the point with rogue is doing a lot of damage in a very few time and have enough hp not to be one shoted
