Right now the progression loop feels like it ends the moment you extract.

Spawn default kit.
Survive PvP.
Extract amazing gear.
Archive it forever because there’s still nowhere meaningful to use it.

Most boss rooms in Squire Royale are empty now, and Demon Overseer is basically the only remaining boss if you survive long enough to reach Inferno.

And while TPM, Secure Boot, and HVCI definitely help raise the barrier against cheating, they also clearly haven’t eliminated cheating entirely.

So now older incompatible hardware players are locked out of HR while the anti-cheat arms race keeps going anyway.

Please reconsider the TPM / Secure Boot / HVCI requirement changes so progression and meaningful endgame farming can actually exist again.

Longsword will make me quit this game

Whenever I have the slightest urge of playing the game, it vanishes at my first game of encountering a longsword fighter. It's crazy that I have no problem with any other weapon in the game as this one.

It's not about it's damage or ripostle damage or anything. Nerfing that will never change what's wrong with this weapon.

What I care is blocking with longsword requires no skill. They just press right click and look at you and the game does the rest. They will attack you once or twice if they feel generous than start pressing right click extremely skillfully, crouch and look towards your weapon. With some of the weapons and how they attack, it's nearly guaranteed that your weapons some part will touch theirs at some point in the fight, and it only needs to touch it once.

Like is it too hard to make blocking TIME based instead of positional in a game where you can't choose the way you are attacking from? With some weapons animations it's nearly impossible to not hit their weapon if they have more than 2 brain cells.

In my opinion blocking should require YOU to be skillfull and place good timed blocks and should have a counter play in return where also you can reblock it and return it back.

I remember getting excited when I saw another longsword user in dungeonborne because the fight was guaranteed to show some skill if I lost to them. The parries required timing and you had CHARGE ATTACKS to break through their blocks (which was also parriable just harder).

I hate to say it but....

Fighter being able to stack near-max PDR while also having strong movement, ranged pressure, sustain, and great melee options is honestly one of the worst balance states this game has had.

The issue isn’t just that Fighter is strong. The issue is that Fighter has almost no meaningful weaknesses anymore.

Traditionally, heavy armor classes are supposed to trade mobility and versatility for durability. But in Dark and Darker, Fighters can:

Tank damage

Win melee trades

Pressure at range

Chase people down

what exactly is the downside?

Every other class has a clear weakness:

Rangers die if you catch them

Rogues explode if they get hit

Casters struggle if pressured

Barbarians are kiteable and limited at range

Druids sacrifice consistency for versatility

Meanwhile Fighter feels like it gets the best parts of multiple classes without paying the normal cost for it.

And honestly, some interactions just feel ridiculous. How is a Druid bear slower and swinging slower than a guy in full plate armor? Why does a heavily armored class have this much chase potential while also sitting near the PDR cap constantly?

At this point, fighting PDR Fighters on most classes just feels like opting into a stat check instead of an actual matchup.

I’m not saying Fighter shouldn’t be tanky. I’m saying the class currently has too much:

Too much survivability

Too much versatility

Too much consistency

Too few punishable weaknesses

A class should not simultaneously be the safest, tankiest, and one of the most universally effective picks in the game.

I understand a barrage of magic would turn a Fighter around pretty quickly, however Fighter can still out trade in this regard as well. They can do damage from further away.

TLDR: I am forgoing any interactions with PDR Fighter, until something is done about the class at a base level. It is egregiously strong across the board.

Day 26 without High Roller…

At this point extracting good gear feels like finishing quests for rewards you can never spend.

Spawn default kit.
Survive PvP chaos.
Extract incredible loot.
Throw it into stash forever because HR still doesn’t exist.

Most boss rooms in Squire Royale are empty now, and Demon Overseer is basically the only meaningful boss left if you survive all the way to Inferno.

And while TPM, Secure Boot, and HVCI absolutely help make cheating harder, they also clearly haven’t completely stopped cheating altogether.

So now older incompatible hardware players are locked out of HR while the anti-cheat battle continues anyway.

Please reconsider the TPM / Secure Boot / HVCI requirement changes so progression and meaningful farming can actually matter again.
