Today I am excited to announce the start of our community-run emoji contests!
Starting today, every week we will be doing a Dark and Darker themed emoji contest.
Starting on Mondays, you will be able to upload your emoji to the #submit channel.
From there, it will be approved by the moderation team and moved to the #1128090064199614514 channel once approved.
The emoji with the highest rating will be uploaded to the server for permanent use, and moved to the #hall-of-fame.
The votes will go from Monday-Sunday 7pm KST.
The winning emoji will then be announced that night.
The next submission period will start the following day.
After seeing some of the awesome art submitted in the #dnd-fan-art section, we are super excited to see some of the emojis the community creates!

Since r/place is back, we decided to participate in the pixel war this year, hoping to show all of Reddit what our line holders are capable of!
Our objective is to have a representation of our strong community and of the game during this occasion that usually doesn't present itself this often.
For this reason we've decided to add 2 new channels and a new role.
The new Line Holder role will be used to ping our members who are interested in keeping up to date with community events.

Starting next Friday, you will be able to link your Dark and Darker account with Twitch via in-game options. An FAQ will be posted with next week's update explaining how to do so.
Once you're linked, you can tune into your favorite streamers to catch the action on the newest wipe and earn rewards for watching. When you receive your rewards on Twitch, simply claim the item and it will be added directly to your account! You will find the items in your cosmetics inventory.

We have some updates coming to the Arena in next week’s patch.
One of the main changes is the removal of duplicate Warlord-ranked players.
This change will directly impact the number of available Warlord slots.
With that in mind, we will be extending the application period for the Warlord Tournament until <t:1775480400:f>.
We would also like to take this opportunity to further clarify tournament criteria.
You do not need to maintain the rank of Warlord for the whole arena season, you only need to hold the rank of Warlord during your application submission time.
Due to limited spots, the tournament will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

It was an incredibly exciting weekend in the arena!
We summoned the most dangerous Warlords from every region to go head-to-head in the colosseum 🔥
The tournament was full of big plays, clutch moments, and heartbreak.

Over the past day, we've seen a number of sensationalist headlines in the Korean media misrepresenting the Supreme Court's recent decision. Some outlets are framing this as a "total defeat" or claiming there are "new penalties and additional damages." This is not true. What happened today is straightforward: the Supreme Court simply upheld the High Court's 2nd instance ruling and dismissed both Nexon and IRONMACE's appeals. This means there is no more danger to the online service of the game.
Here are the facts:
Copyright Infringement: Not Found
The court reaffirmed that Dark and Darker does not infringe on Nexon's copyright. It was officially confirmed that there is no substantial similarity between Nexon's internal "P3" project and Dark and Darker. Importantly, this has been the consistent position of the Korean judiciary from the 1st instance all the way through to the Supreme Court. Dark and Darker is, and always has been, recognized as an original IP.
No Additional Damages
Following the 1st instance ruling, IRONMACE promptly paid approximately 8.5 billion KRW in damages to Nexon. The 2nd instance reduced that figure to approximately 5.7 billion KRW, meaning IRONMACE has already received a refund of roughly 2.8 billion KRW. Since today's Supreme Court decision simply upholds that 2nd instance ruling, there is nothing left to pay.
Legal Costs Reduced
In the 1st instance, IRONMACE was responsible for 80% of legal costs. Under the now-finalized ruling, that share has been reduced to 40%, a reflection of how significantly the court's view of our defense shifted between the two instances.
Injunctions and Seizures Will Be Lifted
All provisional seizures (가압류) Nexon placed on IRONMACE following the 1st ruling will now be lifted, as the copyright infringement claim was ultimately rejected. This is a win for Ironmace.
