Having troubles with 3DSS mod download or the mod itself is busted?

1. Download the mod manually from this link

Assuming you are on the latest version of GAMMA, try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps with stutters or microfreezes:

1. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
2. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
3. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
4. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
5. Try using Meatchunk's prefetcher for G.A.M.M.A (needs 12Gb of Free RAM), in the Alternative Addons & Patches category (only works on vanilla GAMMA, may break with custom mods, recommend having a total of 32GB RAM)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm
8. In game, go to Settings > Modded Exes > Optimization > Lua Garbage Collector and increase this bit by bit until microstutters/freezes stop. Default value is 300, people seem to find that 750-800 is the sweet spot, this will depend on your hardware

Hey folks, so when I was reinstalling gamma and anomaly, I had a file labeled desktop that popped up and said it was a system file.

I just installed it on GOG, transferred the Anomaly and GAMMA files to the root of my SSD when I wanted to move to bigger storage, and that was it. Would I be screwed if I delete them files?

   Remember that you cannot put Anomaly or GAMMA in these locations:

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

hey y'all wanted to see if i can get some help with a problem while installing. So i installed the game and ran through all the proper steps but i got only 493 mods the first time. Fully wiped the files on both folders and attempted a fresh install and now this error is showing up. It'll still install the game if i skip the plug ing but only with 493 mods and it'll fail to boot up gamma. If you get the error 1364 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. Install DirectX libraries (type !deps in #🤖bot-commands )
4. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 9 (use !dx in #🤖bot-commands for instructions on how to switch).
   After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

Thank you for the help. After double checking per instructions that the issue wasn't coming from a download being blocked and was local to my machine, I was able to track down where in the mod list the update was failing and check it out further.
The problem ended up being that these 9 folders from that mod on my machine got corrupted at some point between my last session and the update attempt.
Upon getting rid of the offending files, the launcher no longer attempted to access my local broken files and was able to download and install the mod successfully before continuing through the rest of the update without complication.

Assuming you are on the latest version of GAMMA, try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps with stutters or microfreezes:

1. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
2. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
3. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
4. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
5. Try using Meatchunk's prefetcher for G.A.M.M.A (needs 12Gb of Free RAM), in the Alternative Addons & Patches category (only works on vanilla GAMMA, may break with custom mods, recommend having a total of 32GB RAM)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm
8. In game, go to Settings > Modded Exes > Optimization > Lua Garbage Collector and increase this bit by bit until microstutters/freezes stop. Default value is 300, people seem to find that 750-800 is the sweet spot, this will depend on your hardware

Got an issue out of nowhere, the game crashes mid play, then it just refuses to launch the game. I am also having these types of crashes regularly. Right now it's with the Steyr Scout. However, for me after it happens the game won't reopen. Every time I open GAMMA, before I even get to the main menu the game just... closes. No error log, just a hard crash back to the Mod Organizer. File be empty. Reinstalling for like the 5th time atm, I can force a crash again and check again.

Here is the error for the crash upon equipping a weapon. As for the crash log afterwards, when the game doesn't start, it's empty. Game isn't even initializing, it's just crashing to desktop before it does... anything. Super bricks something. I don't have any other mods installed/running, this should just be a fresh install.

Earlier I was having crashes with the GAUSS rifle and doing that fixed it. Now it's with the Scout, doing the same thing again, but now upon crashing the game simply won't reopen.

So I wouldn't bother reporting/asking for help if it was just that, because I know it's a known/solved issue, but the game not reopening is the weird/annoying part. I'm used to modded games being buggy/having frequent crashes and needing tweaks, but having to reinstall fresh every crash is... a nuisance lol.

i have updated everything followed the discord instructions and troubleshooting guide before i contacted you guys. The current install was fresh, played 100+ hours only the gauss rifle made it crash, after mentioned updates it crashes immediately when loading save or start fresh...

I think the crash to desktop on startupmight be caused by having the game on fullscreen, or some other associated issue.

Because I was able to launch it fine, re-imported my saved settings and relaunched, boom. Crash to desktop on startup. Trying again right now.

Fine, no issue.

Either that or my resolution is too high.

nah i dont believe that changes anything - i have downloaded 76 again and did the manual install - MO just points to a wrong one... i even have disabled any security for the download 😮

I have a 2560x1600 monitor, so naturally I run my games in 2560x1600. Putting GAMMA into that resolution causes it to CTD on startup.

I'll try 2560x1440.

It's especially strange because the game runs fine at that resolution, but trying to start it at that resolution causes an instant CTD.

Nvm just CTD'd at 2560x1440 after enabling the Scout fix you sent and Immortal Companions...

Wasn't either of those, since disabling them didn't fix it. Man I'm tired of re-inputting my settings over and over lol.

Did you ever get a fix for this? Im having the same issue, and everyone else I see report it has gotten no repsonse either lol. Just a stash icon following me around on level transitions or loading a save, right under my feet

i could try to remove old 76 by "remove mod" in MO, make sure its deleted in E:\GAMMA\mods\ and then update/install via launcher (new 76 is in E:\GAMMA\downloads) ..or waste of time / total destruction ?

I checked the one on moddb and it doesn't have wpn_gauss_world.ogf in it. so I recommend running the launcher with all 4 boxes checked just in case

Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

When turning off your anti-virus and firewall it should look like this: ⠀ ⠀

1. Re-download GAMMA RC3.7z from one of these links:

2. Extract it into your GAMMA folder, overwrite all files when asked
3. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin
4. Click "Install/Update"

I think its fine. itll keep your installed/downloaded mods I believe if you just extract it to your existing one
