To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided above (or below).
2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin.
5. Uncheck/Disable:

Yeah, the way the game calculates whether a place is safe from emissions, whether a sleeping bag is in a valid spot, and whether a bed is in a valid spot, are all different. i stg someone made a mod that lets you slap a bed down wherever, gimme a minute to find it

So, my stuff was buried after someone had no idea how to help in any way, laughing as they asked for my mod list and being like, "Lol, i have no idea how to help", so I will repeat my issue. when i cross a point in Jupiter, my screen goes black except for the UI. I Can move back after crossing this point and can see everything again, but as soon as i cross again, everything is black. I have tried the the help via the bot commands, and the only thing i accomplished was resetting and my keybindings and other settings. Barring reinstalling the game or playing through the minimap when i have made no changes to the base gamma at all other than two weapon fixes that i learned from here to fix two mods already in the list, what can i do?

Unfortunately I believe it boils down to DirectX 8 being a very old graphics library, it was introduced in 2000 for Windows ME(?), and last updated in 2002
It might be the same issue as alt tabbing from fullscreen in Source engine games
There's probably no fix to that other than using borderless

You might be able to run a newer DirectX version through Vulkan with DXVK instead if you're desperate (aka have the time)
This should theoretically allow you to bypass color washout and also help with FPS

Double click the .tar file inside to open it like a folder, then keep going until you can open the x64 folder.

got an error of task_mirage, tried looking around with no luck
updating thru the launcher
apart from Quick Action Wheel mod i use, it just return unexpected error

Quick action wheel puts u into modded support eitherway but for info, trying to go back to dx11 modlist after using dx9 modlist and save is not a good idea

Try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps:

1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open GAMMA Launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)
2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm

Hey legends. So I have done a fresh download and install after a year or so not playing. All good, start it up and it loads fine for one time. I havent changed anything or done anything and now it wont load past the anomaly pop up. It jsut crashes back to the mod organiser. Any ideas? Cheers!

It might be due to some mod having extra requirement nowadays that requires AVX to run on your specific model of CPU, but it's just a wild guess

If no fix is found, you should try various optimization strategies to hopefully gain more FPS

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Hey question for anyone who might be able to help! So I've been running a new install of Gamma for a few days now, and I've noticed in my performance tracking I on average get around 70-80 fps 1080p with mostly high/extreme setting... I have an Intel I7 8700, and an AMD 7900XTX, 32gb DDR4. So my question is, I notice in performance tracking that I'm on average using about 60 percent utilization on the GPU, and around 40 percent on the CPU. I'm wondering if I can somehow change something or alter something to utilize more of the power of my hardware to get better frames?

no that's pretty normal. the xray engine that anomaly uses is effectively singlethreaded. it just cannot make full use of modern hardware. the only way you could "fix" this is to help completely rewrite the engine to be multithreaded.

1. when entering a new map, if the user tried to uninstall Dynamic Anomalies Overhaul without following its uninstall steps
2. when entering a new map, if the user installed the Arrival mod without uninstalling DAO
3. picking the "riches of the zone" wish in the Wish Granter

but your crash is caused by doing this. one of the gun mods that works in DX11, doesn't work in DX9. If your save was started in DX11, and you switch to DX9, you have to disable that gun mod, and therefore you crash when the game can't find that gun any more.

Either bump back to DX11 for this save, or, start a new game in DX9

3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS

• Add every exe file in Anomaly/bin, the Anomaly/AnomalyLauncher.exe, as well as your GAMMA folder/ModOrganizer.exe, as an exception. You must toggle Advanced Threat Defense for each exe file.
• Add a folder exception for the entire Anomaly folder and the entire GAMMA folder.

If done properly, you should have an Advanced Threat Defense exception for every single Anomaly exe (AnomalyDX11, AnomalyDX11AVX, etc.), the ModOrganizer program, and the Anomaly Launcher. You should also have a folder exception on the Anomaly and GAMMA folder.
