1. Add your GAMMA and Anomaly folders to the Windows Defender exclusions and disable real-time protection temporarily, before downloading the file.
   You can find these settings here:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings

2. Grab the latest launcher: #📢announcements message
3. Go to [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer folder and extract the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher.exe and the resources folder there (picture for reference below)
4. Launch the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher.exe with Admin Rights and either:

Follow the instructions from a Helper that is helping you.
OR
Press Install/Update G.A.M.M.A without disabling anything.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

git config --global --add safe.directory '*'
and press Enter.

4. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

Figured id post here cause I talk too much in Newbie Chat about this.

I'll keep it straight forward.

High End PC. Did all the tweaks in #╰⚡fps-optimisation

There has to be some sort of secret sauce. The game still stutters. Its very prominent in Jupiter.

I have "turn this on if you stutter" on, Meatchunks prefetcher. Tried DX11 and AVX, still the same result.

Tweaked grass, and various settings. FPS goes higher, stutter still exists, especially when moving your mouse around.

Upon digging through ALife stuff. There seems to be some other mods active that contributes to ALife. (Really don't want to tweak ALife further as it can probably ruin the immersion of the game)

Just want to see various remedies/solutions from others and i'll test accordingly.

Adding on to this since I forgot a couple things:

I use Lossless Scaling, but I want to get the game to not stutter with it off to get the best results of Lossless Scaling. Even with LS, the game stutters here and there, and of course, input lag is increased when this happens.

I also disable CPU 0, and put my game on "Realtime" instead of "High". I get more FPS. but still, stutter exists.

I don't know how to explain it, but there are a number of weird animations that feel kind of useless and rather annoying. For example, the animations for taking something from a mutant, fixing or cleaning something, or charging your exo. Each of these takes a few seconds, but nothing happens on the screen except a slight shaking of the actor's camera.

Here's the thing: after each update, those animations mysteriously disappear, making things much more enjoyable. However, this isn't permanent. Sometimes they reappear during the second run of the game after an update, and sometimes they come back after a few days.

Is there a way to remove these animations permanently?

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

Hi, I've been fiddling around with the key binds for a bit and just ended up completely janking it all up with the vanilla keys & GAMMA keybinds. Is there a way to revert all the settings or keys back to the original state?

Instead, do this:

3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace it.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

4. Copy and paste the following command into the Function Execute field:

I can not for the life of me get the correct number of mods to show up in MO. This is my sixth time running the installer, and every time I end up with 10-50 too few, or 10-20 too many mods. I have both the Gamma and Anomaly folders whitelisted in my AVs, I run the launcher as Admin, and I have the 6.2 launcher. I get no actual saved error logs/crashes, but the running logger for the launcher is filled with tons of errors. A lot of 'Cannot find X because it does not exist' and 'Underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send'. I was pretty careful to follow the install guide, but did I miss something obvious?

Remove FOV change on equipping pistols:

Greetings, all. I recently began playing GAMMA again after a long absence, and after an hour or so of play I stopped and then went back again two hours later. At that time, I clicked on the UPDATE button and did the whole download and update thing. Trouble is, when I re-launched the launching process failed with a message" Mod Organizer is locked while application is running.
AnomalyDX11.exe (rotating error codes here)

I then tried relaunching to different saves and kept getting the same message with different error codes. I then searched Discord, found an updated GAMMA Launch.exe, and installed that to version 6.2. Shut down and rebooted. Relaunched GAMMA. Same error.. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Having a persistent issue with the Red Forest Anomolous Sample quest for the ecologists. I found the PDA in the tunnels, and got the sample from the underground tunnels, but the sample from the symbiont anomaly near the devilish encampment seems not to exist. I've used the "demo_record" command to search around for it to no avail, and I've searched up and down the entire northeastern section of the Red Forest, (everywhere north of the mine). I've gotten lots of artifacts, but not the sample, or any artifacts like a sample (non-radioactive low-tier artifact with low durability). I've even now left the Red Forest, did some stuff, and came back to the Red Forest several in-game days later and repeated the process, once again to no avail. Any help/suggestions/tips/workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

@north turret If you are failing to download all the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2, then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
• Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher as seen in #💽how-to-update and start it as administrator.
