the best thing about the brain scorcher level design is no matter how much I try to gear up for it, it's still a brutal CQB nightmare speedrun. This is the first time on an invictus* run I've cleared it without a death. I found the best way to get around my poor aim and reaction times is to bring enough grenades so you can spam 2 or 3 per room. I still used all my ammo / meds and had to fight my way back home with whatever I could scavenge from corpses. Don't change anything Grok

To recruit random stalkers as companions:

1. Talk to the leader of the squad.
2. The size of the squad must be within your limit (by default you can't have more than one companion at the time).
3. Your rank value must be at least 1.5 times higher than that of the squad leader.
4. Squad leader must consider you friendly (depends on your rank, reputation, faction relations and more).

Requirements 3 and 4 don't apply to paid companions, but they are rarer overall and can only be found among Loners, Bandits, Mercenaries and Freedom.
If you wish to be able to recruit more stalkers, in-game, open Mod Configuration Menu > Custom Companion Squad Size, and drag the sliders found within to the right.
