I have low vram (4 gb instead of 6) so my performance is pretty bad. I'm still able to play the game though, it just ranges from 20-30 fps and goes down to 15 in bad areas. Hoping the devs lower system requirements later on

Well, definitely dont let it get into your head! Technical issues aren't a failure and I'm sure your friends are just excited to get you into it with them. Keep your spirits up and don't stress too hard about it. I always like to go make some tea or take a shower when I'm ruminating on a problem too long. GPU right? Graphic Card? It's completly normal for game to use 100%. They use everything the card offers meaning you get maximum FPS, if it had limit you would get horrible FPS. CPU is a problem, that can't be on 100%.

So about killing things, for levathians I completely understand not being able to kill them, we are literally a dude with a stick against a creature bigger than like a redwood tree. But if you dont want us to kill the smaller fish to get them stop attacking you, you could add a sonic pulse/sound emmiter, and make it to where depending on what biome its placed it would deter those specific creatures away, there used in RL to do exactly that, emit a frequency that's annoying to fish.

Oh in that case you probably still need to scan the ||"Rosetta Stone". It's near the Alien Tower, it's a big stone pillar with glowing green marks on it. Scanning it should let the PDA translate the language.|| If that doesn't work try saving and quitting then loading the game again

This is a standard industry EULA. If it makes you nervous, rest assured that mandatory arbitration is a new standard TOS line that hasn’t had much legal precedent set around it. There is a chance that regulations will render it void. Im loving the game but im not crazy about the paternalism/handholding in regards to attacking creatures, systems like the tool on fish should interact how your brain expects them to and draw blood

Im all for keeping the player low on the food chain, and making attacking certain creatures pointless or incredibly difficult, but putting a limitation on how we play isnt the way imo

How relentless creatures are and how much we will be able to deal with them is part of the feedback process, there are a ton of ways to tweak how much we can control and blend in to the environment to deal with threats to the point where with a creative mind maiming and killing isn't neccesary, it's just one way to "permanently" solve the problem, but there's no shortage of possibility on options and tools that functionally give the same power to players.

The only creature that can get a bit annoying for me is the Hammerhead. We have one that wont leave our base, he will try to swim away but every 2 seconds or so he just looks right back at it. I think hes drawn to the tadpoles but he just wont leave our base and keeps ramming it and staring at it constantly.

I'm doing lots of base building, and I've tried to build my base into the side of a rockface, and i've needed to work around the hitboxes a lot. well, the ones that players would usually want to take off an area are the big predators/aggressive ones
what if you actually could attack them but there were actual consequences to killing?
I mean, an ecossystem can only support a few leviathans without breaking, but their niche as apex predators needs to be filled to ensure stuff keeps working as intended
maybe printing the predators back could be a way of taking to ecossystem back to its orderly state

I dont think deterring threats is the issue atleast for me, we should feel like were low on the food chain, thats all fine and good and thats one of the best parts of the game, and i agree that sn1 went too far to make you feel powerful.

but systems should interact in a believable way imo, knives should draw blood, even if its futile and does little damage/doesnt help or give resources, there shouldnt be limits on gameplay imo, let players discover what works and what doesnt on their own, we can already kill small fish to cook them so it seems like an arbitrary line

Noobie here, my friend met a bug. I am the host, and he is a guest. He died because of running out of hunger, however when he is reprinted, he can't do nothing. He can only switch items in quickslots. I can see him in the game switching his items, but no matter what we do (let him be out of O2). He just stay there, can't die, can't move. at the top left the blue is the amount of power being generated and the red is the amount being consumed. if the red is equal or higher than blue then you need more solar panels. remember they don’t work at night so it would be better to have other power sources

If you have really low VRAM you can try running the game at a lower resolution and not upscaling it to the monitor resolution. Since the final output res also cost a bit of vram.

No I have english keyboard. It's strange because basically what happened was I went out of bounds to take a shortcut, the leviathan got me, and then when I died and pressed respawn I just loaded back into my Tadpole. Then after that I unstucked, didnt work, so I restarted game and unstucked and it worked. And now I cant use keybinds for hotbar anymore. On other worlds it works too, just that one is bugged, and the backup is so far back.

I will say the further in the game you progress the lower your framerate gets. I got down to 60 frames after getting the bio scanner and stuff. I hope the further optimizations made are decently significant. It is worse in co op though as well. If the map is as big as we are being told it is. On top of the other types of progression we are getting. The performance I hope keeps up because if not than the game is gonna have problems performance wise.
