little buffs

demolitionist - the bomb timer will no longer go down if the holder is the demolitionist. The demolitionist is a fun to play role, but it struggles on competitive viability, making so the demolitionist can't explode it self would be, i believe, a solid buff.
serial killer - at the end of each meeting a new target will be select for the serial killer. Serial killer struggles a lot with players that like being in groups, with this, the serial killer will no longer need to kill others that aren't its target to be useful.
cannibal - remove the "eat body" timer. Cannibal has a strong ability, but he can't do a great use of it. Without the timer, the cannibal would be a good counter against Canadian (while still being outclassed by the professional)
undertaker - remove the "drag a body" timer. This timer always felt weird to me, removing it would not make the role overpowered, but it would help the undertaker use its ability without the fear that it once had.
adventurer - will be immune to no-killing sabotages, like lights, comms & etc. The adventurer only founds a real niche in the ancient sands map, with this the adventurer would be a good choice in others maps while still not affecting its usability in the ancient sands map.
avenger - will only be able to kill the killer of the body being avenged. Avenger in a nutshell is a role to punish kill that are made in groups of players, but he fails at it because of two things, he doesn't know who is who because their screen is red and majority of the times its a better option to just report the body to see others opinions. With a guaranteed duck kill this role can stop being a bad role and be a off meta pick. Yayyyy 🎉

Rigger (Duck)
Map Specific: The Carnival

Push your luck to your advantage. Your tasks are fake.

The Rigger has a different wheel than a normal one. This wheel costs 3 tickets to spin. The Rigger has no kill ability unless given by the wheel.
This role needs 7 people to be able to be on.

The wheel possibilities are….
Tickets! : +5 tickets if spun on.

Murder! : If Rigger lands on this, they gain the ability to kill once.

Rabbit! : Summons a Rabbit Helper, every 20 seconds, it gives you a Ticket. The rabbits can only despawn if caught by a non-duck.

Knockout! : You land on this, get telported and knocked out. Your vision is in black and white, and very blurry. Your sound is very muffled and you can barely hear anyone.

Party! : You will get a high pitched voice, but also be able to party another player as well. This is stackable.

Slow! : Slows down the Roller Coaster.

ThumbsUp

Role: jester
type of role: Netural
Jester have to kill everyone to win but his main ablitys is: kill, trow pie, cards
Now im gonna tell about the ablitys (not the kill the kill everyone knows)
ablity 1: trow pie: this ablity jester can trow a pie to a goose or duck he will be blind for 5 seconds other ppl can see him trowing
ablity 2 cards: cards can use for 1 time, he can get some ablitys of geese and duck but to use you have to complete 10 fake tasks
now the final part is: the cards will be too op if they get ablity of the op roles (they wont get kill form the roles only ablitys of them)

Role: Gambler
Side: Ducks
Power: It can gain coins or lose coins by guessing who will be voted out or dies.
Cooldown: Once per round
The Gambler's main task is simple, tag a player during the round and successfully get them voted out during the vote screen or killed by the end of the round to gain coins. The Gambler would start out with a predetermined amount of coins to gamble. If the tagged player isn't killed during the round or voted out, the Gambler loses the coins that were placed (say two coins per bet). If the Gambler loses all of their coins before the end of the game, they die. So they must be VERY careful on who they bet on to die or get voted out. They can vent once they tag a player and have a normal kill and venting cooldown. However if they personally kill the tagged player or are in the majority on them being voted out, they don't gain or lose coins. Tasks are fake.

Would be fun with some kind of goose role that can talk the next meeting while being dead if they activate some sort of ability before they die. For instance they could have an ability they can activate once every round or after x seconds, that could enable them to speak to the person who reports their body in the meeting that takes place. To make it more balanced you could design it as such so that the effect of the ability lasts for 5 seconds only at a time. This means they would have to carefully predict, guess or entice a kill on them, before using the ability. This can add another element or style of gameplay for the goose, similar yet different to a canadian. For further balance you could also make the screen grey and remove skins in the duration of those 5 seconds, similar to the astral effect. The possibilities for adjustments and tweak of balance are plentiful.

Furthermore this would also open up for many unique and funny plays where the person who reports the body of this said new role, would have to choose to independently decide what they want to do with the information the 'talking dead' provides.. Maybe a spy figures out the role of this person, and chooses to self-report just to make sure his literal last words are lost. Mayhap a duck or even a dodo reports the body and purposely misconstrue the information to sway the win in their direction? Dodo Devil.

Or.. maybe just a good goose 'strikes' gold, and together with this role they are able to eliminate and finds a duck? Endless possibilities Angel

Shrike (neutral):

(Falcon + Dove/Crow)

Shrike can mark other players and can only kill the marked players. When all players are marked on the scene, enter [Shrike moment].

In the [Shrike moment], the kill cooldown of the Shrike is reduced to 5 seconds, survive until the Shrike moment ends or kill all other players to win
A maximum of three Shrike marks can be retained by Shrike at the meeting. Other marks will be lost when it is determined that [Shrike Moment] cannot be triggered after the meeting is over

Reporter (goose)
You can call a meeting from the bell OR from anywhere by calling it with your ability; however, you only have one meeting and you die as soon as the meeting ends.

Infector (Duck)
You can infect any other non-duck player by interacting with them (has a cooldown) or if they interact with you. If any interaction happens between the infector and the other player, they get infected and have an infected icon on them in the next meeting, and then die after the meeting ends. This can stack players but has a longer cooldown each time you infect someone.
You can also kill normally, however, with a slightly longer cooldown.
The pigeon can see if people are infected, and the infections can cancel out (if someone is infected and gets infected by the pigeon, they are no longer infected, and vice versa for the infector)

Cop and k9 (goose or technically dog and goose)
If you pick this role you'll be a dog
And someone else will be your owner. (the cop) you can't do tasks
But the cop can though.
The dog will always spawn next to the cop. The cop use their ability to see though the
Dogs eyes and talk to the dog privately. (Like the esper)
The dog on the other hand can't be killed butttt the cop has to feed the dog when the dogs hunger bar goes to 0%. The cop has to find dog food all over the map it will shown on the
Map. The ducks can Poison the dogs food causing the dog to die from Poisoning. The cop can go to the mortician to check if the food is poisoned (the mortician will have to use their ability to check) the dog can also die from starvation. When the dog dies they will be temporarily dead until the next meeting is over. so unless the ducks are camping the meeting button
That dog ain't coming back. one last thing the cop can see where the sheriff is on their map all the time so they can alert the sheriff to shoot the imposter they saw through the dog's eyes. I'm sure they aren't going to add this because it's just overpowered. Edited part if the dog tries to talk when unmuted then all you hear is barks the cop is the only one who understand what the dog says

New Role: Hypnotist (Duck)
Role Description: Similar to the Assassin during voting, the Hypnotist can try to guess the role of another player, if the Hypnotist guesses the role of another player, that player will be "hypnotized" and lose his role by turning into a regular goose, but if the Hypnotist does not guess the player's role, he will lose the ability to hypnotize and also to murder, but will remain a duck while losing almost all of its strength, if in addition to the “Weakened” Hypnotist there are no other roles left with which the game cannot end (falcon, pelican, ducks), the game ends and the geese win.
Additionally: If the hypnotist “hypnotizes” the lover, then the love between them will become “non-reciprocal”, that is, the “Hypnotized” lover will stop loving the other and will not die in the event of his death, and the other will continue to love the Hypnotized lover and will also die in the event of his death.
If the hypnotist "hypnotizes" the duelist's dodo, he will become a goose, and the other will become a regular dodo. The hypnotist cannot hypnotize another duck or mimic. Also, with a 25% (or 50%) chance, hypnosis can be removed using rejuvenation on the Eagleton Springs map, and also a fortune teller can remove hypnosis with a 25% (or 50%) chance. Hypnosis cannot be re-applied to the player from whom it was applied was removed. A “weakened” Hypnotist cannot use Ventchilatsy.

#

New Role: Criminologist (Goose)
Note: The mechanics described below would work just as well as a mortician addition.
Role description: A Criminologist, like a mortician, can examine a corpse (or a bloodstain), however, unlike a mortician, a Criminologist sees not the role of the murdered person, but the role of the killer or the cause of death of the player (for example: a falling chandelier, a collision with a bus, shuttle, etc. .) and also how long ago this player died.Additionally: The forensic scientist sees exactly the cause of death, for example: if the player was killed at the beginning, and only then, for example, crushed by the shuttle, the Criminologist will be able to find out this. A criminologist does not automatically report the corpses of those killed by a professional.

Chicken - Neutral role. Not exclusively (can play in all maps). Can hide in a locker and sewage system.

Concept: you can place eggs in the all map, when you place enough eggs in map - you win. (My opinion on the number of necessary eggs is 10. But the number will be different: when there are 16 people, you need to lay 5 eggs, but if there are players 14 - 6, 12 - 7, 10 - 8 ( for every 2 players there is 1 egg, the maximum number of eggs is 10, which means the number of eggs decreases after 6 players))

Other players can break your eggs (quest button). Eggs is broke automatically after click button with raw egg animation (Chicken can break their own egg, otherwise, it’s easy to detect a chicken, you just have to offer it to break the egg, but it can’t) . When chicken place egg, it will invisible on 10 sec, for counter group people

CD on ability - 15 second

The eggs won't break after the vote, but there is a condition (further). Chicken need come at him eggs and warm up them ( The eggs will be shown with an Indicator ). Chicken just need touch egg for warm, not other act. About condition: If the chicken does not have time to warm the egg before the meeting, it will break on it's own.

New gameplay: This is something like a pigeon, but the pigeon will not become obsolete, because the idea itself is made against campers of places: vote bell, sabotage, etc. The potential is revealed at the end.
Players need instead of endlessly doing tasks, players will have to find eggs (I do not deny that an egg may be discovered on the way to the task).

Counter: Birdwatcher, stalker, every birds that can hide (they can see how chicken place eggs)
BTW: Birdwatcher and stalker can up on meta

That's all, if somebody want see achievements, that I invented for chicken, read it:

1 Mom of the Year - break your own egg 5 times

2 Why the chicken NOT run across the road? be smashed by bus

3 They're everywhere! - Win 25 times for the chicken

SEEE - THE JUDJE

The Judge is a peaceful role available on all maps. The Judge can give kick protection to any player for 1 vote 1 time during the entire game. Can protect the player from prison

during a kick, the judge has a button like an assassin, but with its own design. He chooses who to give invulnerability for this round. The referee must choose very carefully, because the opportunity is only for 1 game.

I can give an example of use: the judge knows that this player is peaceful but did not have time to convey the information, so he gives him invulnerability for 1 round and tells him in the next. This also allows you to prevent the dodo if the player starts voting into it. Also, if a lobbyist is given invulnerability, then the votes will be counted anyway, and if there is too much, they will not be kicked.

New content: will help protect an innocent player, or make a mistake and give a second chance to the mob, which can turn the game around 180.

Roles he counters: preacher, dodo,
Roles he can work with in a team with a lobbyist

That's all, and I invented achievements for judje too, who want read that for you:

1 There is always hope - give immunity to the person who should kick 50 times

2 Oops! - give immunity to the duck who should kick

3 Justice is always ahead - Win 25 for the judje

If you are the Turkey, you wan’t to die first. You cannot win by killing yourself with the Roller Coaster or Shuttle. If you are not the first kill, you become the Eagle. As an Eagle, you need to bring everyone to your nest. The killers don’t know where your nest is. You don’t win until every dead body has been brought to your nest. Once the Eagle hunt timer ends, the game doesn’t. You must either find the Eagle (duck) or find the bodies and take them back to your home (eagle). And yes, the Eagle can kill, bringing bodies to the nest lowers the cooldown.

Pencil (Duck)
"Draw to your heart's content to subtly reveal roles. Your tasks are fake."

Functionality:
This duck role is unlike most others. Instead of being out in the front lines of murder, they provide a more supportive role by being able to select one avian to be drawn on pictionary style during a meeting (this can happen multiple times per game if the Pencil is still alive). When this happens, everyone can try and figure out what role is being portrayed for the unlucky avian. And during the game, they can only kill under two circumstances: they must either be the last duck alive or the only duck in the Pelican's stomach.

Things to know (+ headcanons):
-The Assassin role works great with the Pencil if they understand how the pictionary system works in the meeting.
-The more times they use their ability, the more likely they're going to have an arrow pointed at them for the Sheriff to follow.
-If applicable, once the Pencil gains their kill button, each death stinger a player receives from them has the Pencil utilizing an artist tool (such as a paint bucket, pencil, glass pen, etc) for the kill animation.
-The Esper and Pencil are fairly friendly to each other lore wise for their shared disdain towards their once fellow geese.

Suggestion for upgrade to the Bodyguard (Goose) role:
I think it would be interesting if the bodyguard had the ability to take a shot at the person who killed their mark. So if someone kills the person that the bodyguard is protecting, the bodyguard gains one shot and must shoot the actual person that killed their mark and if the bodyguard takes a wrong shot then they die. If the bodyguard shoots wrong, the person they shoot doesn’t die, just the bodyguard does. So they have to make sure it’s the right person. And it works the same way whether the killer was a duck, neutral or goose.'''

This role is not overpowered, but it provides a chance to dodge double or triple kills, slightly slows down the killing process by resetting one cooldown, and allows the Nimble to narrow down suspects or even identify the killer during voting by analyzing interactions with other players on the map. After a failed kill attempt, killers are motivated to target the Nimble more quickly. Additionally, after a failed killing attempt, the Nimble's role becomes known to the Assassin, which motivates the Nimble to engage more actively in voting and openly share their suspicions.

However, the Gravy, for example, can be immortal under certain conditions. Of course, constant immortality would break the game because it takes away the mechanics of other players. That's why I propose just a single death avoidance per game and call the role "The Nimble," meaning they dodge the first strike. They can still be killed in the same round, even by the same player if their cooldown resets in time.

I've filled in the exact part:
When a Scourge is killed, the player who kills him will know that he is a Scourge
Scourge I think he is a pawn in the game between a good man and a duck, and when a duck or a neutral knows who the Scourge is, he will probably not cut him (Scourge's killing judgment is lowest in the crowd)
It is not advisable to evaluate a character just because of the mechanism, but also how the player uses itHonk

In most of the games I play, there's a recurring issue where geese tend to move or stand in small groups of two, three, or four. Even if lobby rules prohibit it, it still happens regularly. Unfortunately, the current roles don't help solve this problem.

What if we added a duck to the game that charges up while being among geese? The number of potential victims could gradually increase if the duck remains in a group (i.e., if the duck is within a set distance of at least two non-ducks). However, as soon as the duck is no longer in a group, the number of victims would immediately reset to the standard one.

The charging time could be adjusted so that players still have a chance to complete tasks nearby or ask each other questions (like about the celebrity role) without falling victim to a powerful strike. But on the other hand, non-ducks would also be motivated to spread out relatively quickly.

dark osprey
vagrant quiver
# dark osprey There is some role that can solve your issues Ninja Pigeon and crow Demolitio...

Of course, we all use them in our lobbies, but unfortunately, these roles don't really help much.
Demolition often gives themselves away too easily; people analyze who passed by the group and vote for that person.
The Ninja can only kill two people with a huge cooldown, and isn't a threat to groups of three or more geese. Even pairs don’t fear the Ninja much, because with such a long cooldown, it's unlikely the ability will even be used (Ninjas often can't manage even one kill per round).
The Pigeon is useful against large groups, especially when nearly the entire lobby gathers together, but it doesn’t help when groups split into smaller ones. In such cases, the bell gets rung, or a body is found before the Pigeon can infect everyone. Plus, for most of the first half of the game, the Pigeon usually hides and doesn't roam the map.
The Invisibility and Esper work somewhat against groups, but they simply allow ducks to at least kill someone within a group without being exposed. However, these roles don’t provide any motivation for the groups to split up, since it's still more dangerous to walk alone.
That's why I'm proposing a role that not only allows someone to kill in a group without being caught but also makes gathering in groups riskier than moving around alone.

# steep moth Many roles have the tools to break up large groups, it's how you use them. Utili...

I often play in lobbies with high-level players who are very familiar with the game mechanics. So far, the only truly effective way to prevent people from clustering on maps has been a strict ban on such gatherings, enforced by an experienced lobby host. This can even lead to kicking players who violate the rule or having a Vigilante or Sheriff take action right in the crowd. Otherwise, the game loses its balance, and playing as a duck becomes much harder than playing as a goose.
While this method does work, I'm suggesting we think about a duck role that wouldn’t just counteract goose clusters but would actively make gathering in groups more dangerous than moving alone. Of course, this role shouldn't simply be able to kill any group easily—it should be balanced by the difficulty of its use.

Good afternoon, I am writing through a translator, sorry if anything is not clear.
I have an idea for a role and map for the new year.
New neutral role "Penguin". His goal is to earn several ice cubes per game. Possibilities:
The penguin can freeze any player for a while (15-20 seconds), the frozen player will not have access to the microphone and will not be able to move, if during this time the frozen player is killed, the penguin receives an ice cube from the body of the victim, this cube can only be seen by him and possibly other neutral people.
New snow map for a new role. I didn’t draw the map diagram, but I think I can just describe it in words.
From sabotage you can add:

  • Death from an avalanche.
  • Fall through the ice.
  • Snowfall or snowstorm that impairs visibility.
    From tasks you can add:
  • Perform a skating pirouette (at this time, with sabotage activated, you can fall through the ice).
    • Knock down the icicles from the roof visor.
  • Prepare ice cream.
  • Draw something on the window. Or clear the windows of snow.
  • Eat a gingerbread man.
The map is decorated with lanterns. There will be a small skating rink where you can just skate, and a special task with a pirouette. A ski trail where you will be killed by an avalanche if sabotaged. A bell to start a meeting on a large Christmas tree. Sweets stalls for tasks with icicles, cooking and the gingerbread man.
Thank you for your attention. I really hope that my idea will be useful.

I would like to see some kind of demolitionist duck variant, with the catch being it can pass only one bomb, but during meetings.

Whoever has the bomb is a secret, and whoever has the bomb can only pass it once, so if you get the bomb a second time, you explode.
I’m not sure how this silent hot potato could work, especially mid meeting, but I thought it could really change things up mid meeting as a bomb silently going around can cause some great opportunities for mindgames on who to pass to

Traitor
I imagine this role replacing vigilante on a potential future map or maybe even a select number of existing maps

A goose that has made a pact with a Demon. They have a single kill in exchange for a life timer.

This goose must complete a set number of tasks every minute (1 or 2 maybe) to stay alive but as a reward, gets a kill button.

If they shoot a duck, they take that duck's role. If they shoot a Goose, their pact ends and they become a normal goose.

It could be described in the starting screen as
"complete tasks to stay alive. Kill a duck to take their place"

The role would be similar to sheriff in that it can potentially confirm if the player shot was a duck, but would depend on if the other players believe they are still a goose or not.

The main inspiration for this is that many players as vigilante just shoot anybody so they get the chance to use their ability before they themself die or get voted out.
The idea here, is to try and give them a reason to actually try and deduce who to shoot, instead of immediately shooting the first person they see as soon as the kill cooldown is up

sonic prism
#

that does sound cool for something like its own mode, but for classic, it seems like a lose-lose-lose situation for the geese because they lose a member if they miss their tasks, missing the shot, and becoming a duck.

#

also, if anything that rewards random shooting even more than the vigilante because there is still a benefit regardless of who you shoot

buoyant crow
#

I considered that, and my reasoning behind why I think it's fine is because generally the vigilante shoots a player anyway, or is doing tasks, so overall the number of killed geese should remain the same, alas, it's an idea. It probably does have many flaws Happy

An alternative I thought of was to not have the life timer part of it and just make it so they lose their kill button if they stop doing tasks, but I thought that may encourage them to shoot anyone at random just as much as the current vigilante

Game host (duck)
Location: carnival

The duck will mark someone and that marked person will spin a special wheel that is exclusively made to mess them up:

  1. their movements are randomized...I dunno how that'll affect mobile players

  2. they'll automatically skip

  3. everyone is invisible to the marked person

  4. they're given a kill button with a non-duck target and a arrow towards their location, if they don't kill the target then they die

I ran out of ideas Sad

#

The gambler (duck)
Location: carnival

The cost to spin the wheel is doubled(8), the tickets are scattered around the map only visible to the gambler which can be collected by him and the ducks. And when he spins the wheel, the wheel gives the gambler a special wheel exclusively to buff him and the ducks:

  1. kill cool down decreases but the buff will end when a meeting is called(or only after his 3rd kill)

  2. the duck sabotage refreshed

  3. the gambler knows people's location

Optional:

  1. he will know a random role for geese(no neutrals)

  2. he becomes invisible and will be able to see people...but if he kills, he will lose the invisibility

Goose role:
-name: Ouiji
-breakdown: 2 times per game Ouiji can contact a random dead player (they will not know who that player is) to ask them 1 question. (Questions are from select preset questions [yes/no or number based) think: "is [color/player name] a duck?" Or "how many ducks left"
The randomly selected player will have a ouiji board pop up with the question up top. They answer by clicking the corresponding options (yes/no or a number) the selected answer will be mirrored to the user. (NOTE: because the ghost is selected at random the ghost CAN be a duck who can lie about the answer. Ex. "Is black a duck" ghost: no. [When the fact is black is a duck])
This is to make it less OP of a role as user will have to judge if they can trust their contactee or not.
-additional breakdown: user only knows information from last meeting. Meaning: if [player] dies before use of ouiji and next meeting they will still be considered "alive" on the question board. (Ex. [Blue] was killed then Ouiji uses the board. "Is [blue] a duck" will still be a question) however the recently dead player CAN be picked as the contacted ghost (as it is randomized and user will not know who they contacted). Once a meeting is called the questions will then update.

BONUS but NOT required: if killed while using the Ouiji board the board will snap in 2 and fall away to reveal user is dead (killed Sound Effect still plays)
-player who kills the Ouiji while they are using their ability will get a reduction/reset (to 0) on the kill cool down (they will have no way of knowing who the ouiji is or when they are using the ability)

Cager or Jailer- Transform to cage three people in a round to win. Anyone can release the caged.

In detail description- the cager/jailer is a neutral role, in which they cage any three geese (or ducks) in one round to win. The cool down is fairly long, but can be sped up a little for the first few cages. The caged are clearly seen, as they are held in one spot and cannot speak until they are released. The speaking part is to help hide the caged geese. In order for the cager/jailer to imprison someone, they must tranform to hide their identity. The Cager can indeed vent, but a very limited amount of times, so they must use their vents wisely. The cager can also Cage themselves to make it seem as they have been caged, this helps with the social deduction aspect of the game.

This role has several flaws, including how you probably need three buttons for all of the abilities.

Everybody can see when you are sleeping! so find a good hiding spot! When sleeping it will take around 3-10 seconds before you wake up again. When you wake up, you have a bit of a speed boost or a (Burst of energy) and get the option to Kill 1 person. After that you get lazy again and will repeat everything again...

To win you just, Sleep a lot and MURDER Everybody!

#

its somewhat important, because it means you can't just kill whoever you want

#

(and that'd likely often be the case with a bomb being transferred in a meeting)

#

its an interesting sort of dynamic, but there's no real way to figure out anything either about who's had the bomb previously

#

I think most implementations of this turn out to be too distracting (in the cases where people will talk about who has given who the bomb), or very arbritrary and/or targeted (lets always just give the bomb to herbert until he dies)

Duck camp, available on all maps
No ventilation/hiding/entering restricted areas
Virologist with pigeon immune virus
Viral reagent cooling and killing cooling are shared
Using a viral agent on an uninfected player will cause it to become infected and cause its spread to cool to zero
Built-in spread cooldown is 30 seconds per infected person
An infected person who spreads CD 0 will spread to the first player they come into contact with
Virologists can tell if the player is infected with a virus (a reagent pattern will appear next to the name of the infected person)
Ducks that kill infected people will once reduce their kill cooldown by half (effects can be stacked)
Assassins and their variants assume identities extend with infection when they kill infected people
(Player A and player B are both infected and Player B is the Sheriff. If player A is the sheriff, player B dies)

Mainly building off the raven idea but maybe instead of reporting they have a ability button they can press which like mortician forces you to stand next to the corpse for a few seconds to collect the corpse’s identity

After doing so you may report it like normal or hold of to tell a detective that someone died or something

There could also be a option to instead of automatically using a found body in the next meeting you could use a little menu like the assassins one to pick which collected role you have available to use for the following round if you choose to do so

I'm going to send the ideas I had for my map, it's not complete, so I want to see if everything is within the guidelines and such

#

Necromancer (Duck)

The Necromancer is a duck that when his partner dies, he can revive him by killing a goose and going to the ritual on the map to revive him, his partner will revive in the body of the dead goose, but his partner can only kill one person and it is only possible revive a person once

#

Trap man (Duck)

The Trap Man can place traps on the map, and if someone steps on them, the trap alerts them to where the person is and leaves them paralyzed and slow. For a short period of time, the traps can change, being of various types, the hole trap black that pulls the person closer, the ice one that makes him much slower and paralyzed for a little longer, the barrier means that after the paralysis he doesn't become slow, but he can't pass through the trap area for 10 seconds, and the big trap is bigger and makes you much more paralyzed but the slowdown is small, and you can see which trap is to be loaded next but you can't choose which one you want, it's random, and the cooldown is 10 seconds but You can only place 10 on the map.

#

Ok

#

Werewolf (Duck)

The werewolf transforms at night to kill players, the transformation lasts 25 seconds and the cooldown lasts 30 seconds when transformed, players do not see their nickname and do not see physical characteristics (clothes, hats, pets, eyes, and other things of your character). While there is fog on the map, he can jump to reach his enemies, you can use two jumps per transformation

#

Archer (goose)

The archer can kill if he sees any suspicious actions from impostors or neutrals, or if his Sanity level is low close to death, he can kill anyone without any punishment, and also the distance to kill someone is further since he uses a bow to kill.

#

Illusionist (Goose)

You can create an illusion that can wander around the map pretending to do tasks and such, and while it is wandering, the illusionist can see his vision, if the impostor kills the illusion, it disappears and nothing happens to the illusionist. (you don't control the illusion)

#

Guardian Angel (Goose)

The guardian angel, after death can protect a person during a round, the protection lasts 15 seconds, and during a meeting once during the entire match you can make a crew member who would be excluded by votes, no longer be expelled on the spot ( that is, if they beat him in the next round he will be expelled). When protecting someone you increase their sanity.

#

Drácula (Neutral)

He can transform into a bat and "fly" faster, in his bat form he can suck a person's blood, if he sucks the same target twice, the person dies, and has to go to the bat cave to recover, and can become invisible during the mist for 10 seconds, and for him to win he has to collect a specific amount of blood during the match (it's not little), the cooldow to turn into a bat is 5 seconds to turn and unturn , and to become invisible it is 10 seconds after the fog starts. If Dracula sucks someone's blood, his sanity goes down.

hello everyone. we had discased with my friends about Lifeguard and we had idea to do it neutral role and adding two potential endings:
One ending occurs if anyone kills the Bodyguard while they are defending their target.
Another ending happens if the Hitman kills the target while the Bodyguard is still alive.
In this way, just as the Dodo can only lose through their own death, the Bodyguard would only be eliminated by being voted out.

#

Probable its could be good idea to add a marker indicating their assigned target, so they will be able to find their target much easer then Hitman.

#

the Bodyguard role could be improved with a few adjustments. As it stands, the Bodyguard has to protect players to earn a bonus, but their victory condition only aligns with the peaceful team, without any alternative outcome. Despite this, the Bodyguard is required to protect both peaceful and neutral players to receive their bonus. If the Bodyguard ends up protecting a neutral player, this actually undermines the peaceful team’s chances of winning.
that's why we started our conversation.

Multitasker/Server (Goose)
Do X tasks to kill. Be vigilant.
—————
You have a certain amount of tasks (depending on player count like Vulture) to do, before you can kill. This ill be a simple little math thing: (If under 8 players, take the player count, then multiply by two. If above 8 players, take the player count, and divide it by two. It will look something like this: 7 player lobby x 2 = 14 tasks. Or 9 player lobby/2 is 4.5, round up, = 5 tasks.

#

Ghost Buster ( Neutral )

-# This place is Haunted!! Guess I'll change that!

INTRO :

  • The Ghost Buster is a bird dedicated in clearing the place of ghosts, souls of dead players. Their mission is to find and expel 4 ghosts within game to win.

HOW TO PLAY :
The avian must travel around the map to find 4 corpses. After finding a corpse the player pushes the "busting" button to "suck a soul out of it's dead body". After repeating this process for 4 times, the player will win the round.

#

.

This will not effect the dead player's ability to spectate around the map

HOW IT WILL AFFECT THE GAME :

  • The Ghost Buster needs to stay near to a body without reporting it for aproximately 1.2 seconds for the exorcisim to work. This can confuse the players into thinking the bird might be a duck not reporting, or a undertaker, vulture and etc. The confusion would lead to conflicting votes during the meeting. To refrain from being suspected as a netural other avians must stay alert to not stay close to a body too much except for the undertaker, whom might need to at times.

Signal (Goose)
You can use your ability on one player at a time. Every time the player uses an ability or kills, your screen flashes blue.

Saboteur (Duck)
You can use your ability on one player at a time. If they have an investigative role, it will show wrong readings until the ability is moved to another player (detective will show evil on geese who did not kill, medium will show false readings, engineer will show false locations, etc.)

fervent pasture

Neutralizing (goose)
Once per round, you can neutralize a player by electrocuting him. He will not be able to move for 20 seconds. And if a meeting has started at this time, then this player will not be able to speak or write until the neutralization is completed

#

Poison Master (duck)
You can't kill, but instead you poison the player, causing them to die after 20 seconds. If voting starts at this time, he will die instantly

#

Parrot (neutral)
You can select a player once per round, after which he cannot speak or write during voting. And you can write on his behalf.
You will win if the player you chose in this round is eliminated. (if it is a dodo, the dodo wins)

#

Lawyer (goose)
In each round, you can choose a player, after which, during the voting, only half of the votes will be counted (for example, if there are 4 votes, then 2 will be counted. In the case of an unpaired number of players, after division, it will be rounded up)

#

Swan (neutral)
Swan - pretends to be a duck, he has no special abilities, the ability to kill or anything else, instead, if the ducks win, then the victory will be credited to the swan, not the ducks. While the swan is at play, the ducks can kill each other (as in facial expressions)

The Madhatter will appear with a poof, similar to the portal on Basement. The Geese and Nuetrals cannot see the hats, nor can the Ducks when Mimic or Blink Ducks is on the game.

Combos:
Undertaker and MH( changed because of spam). Undertaker can drag bodies into the hatss once, and can teleport through with the bodies.

Professional and MaHa. The Professional can see and go through the hattes. Even with Mimic and Blind Dcuks on.

if he kills the goose, then nothing negative will happen to him, but the ducks will have a better chance of winning. #

Canary (Neutral)
Be quiet and careful to survive. Your tasks are fake.
———
The Canary pairs with the Silencer. When Canary is turned on, Silencer is aswell. There can be a Silencer without a Canery, but no Caneri without Silincer.
Also, Caneriey is perma-muted for the whole game, as he knows who is a killer Dkuc or Newtral.

The goal of Canari is to be the last Neutral and Duck alive. If Pelican has eaten everyone but Canare and Selincer, Canare wins. If Canarey is alive with a Goose and a Duck, as soon as said Duck kills Goose, game ends. If Goese kills Dcuk though, Geose victory, and Canery loses.

fervent pasture
#

also I don't think a role that makes you quiet THE WHOLE game a good thing...I mean maybe only able to talk outside the meeting might be bearable but I feel like the geese and ducks will assume you are canary, even if people will think it is silencer silencing them, they will either kill you or vote you

Shocker (Duck)
Kill players by handing over an item that can ⚡️shock ⚡️ and kill them. (something like a metal card or a live wire)

How it works
Once you are handed the card/wire, if you pass a certain player or a place you get shocked to death! (leaning towards a certain place in the map, that is randomly chosen of course. but it has to be a specific point in the map)

There is no timer for the “accident”, but if a meeting is called you lose the wire or card.

It can also shock you if you stay still for some period of time after you have the item. (this is to prevent the player from staying in 1 place, so they HAVE to be moving, making them pass the killing point more likely).

You will be notified if you have the item somehow! of course not right away! may be after 10 seconds.

May be there could be a certain thing the player can do, to eliminate it. like doing a specific task.

The item cannot be passed!

There can be multiple players as well with the item. and if these players meet they will all get shocked.

There will be a cool down for the duck, of course, to pass the item

Magician [duck + carnival exclusive]

  • both a kill button and an ability button
  • ability only has 2 uses per game
  • ability has a 1 minute cooldown and can only be used 1 time per round
  • kill button cooldown reset after ability is used

Ability: begin a rabbit sabotage where the magician becomes a rabbit.

Any other ducks will have an arrow pointing towards this rabbit however they can still grab their own duck buddy if for some reason they are not paying attention.

what happens when you grab the duck rabbit: you die and the magician gets teleported away as if given a bomb (they don’t get a bomb but this does allow them to use it as an alibi instead of just spawning on top of the body after they are caught), anybody can die to this rabbit including fellow ducks. Canadian being auto reported should not happen in my opinion however if this magically is added you think it should that is up to you

what happens if you do not catch the magician during the his rabbit sabotage: if there is another duck alive when the countdown ends it will be a duck victory. However, if the magician is the last duck alive when the countdown ends there will be a special victory for just the magician called magic rabbit (or just magician) victory

just a bonus: his icon could be a duck pulling a rabbit out of a hat

Once or twice per game, when outside the meeting, the killer can activate their ability that'll work only when the meeting is called:

Micromanager (Duck): You can make a goose/neutral not vote anyone for 1 round and you can't vent. Skipping will be the geese and neutrals only option. This can be also effective to other duck partners only if the mimic is activated. Similar to Falcon/Pelican since they both auto skip also.

Also, players will not be able to use the minimap (which is on the top right, it will not be there, and it will not appear on the TAB key)

Sniper [Duck]

The Sniper can use a button in the corner of the screen to increase the field of view and shoot a duck from very far away, but when shooting he gives away his location, and an arrow indicates where the shot came from, which makes impostors use more ducts, run away, or hide, and yes, if he kills the Canadian, self reports

cosmic meteor
#

I think it’s a cool idea, but the fact that it gives away its location is not very good. Yes, there are ventilation and other places to hide, but the duck may not have time if there is a player in the next room

rain eagle
#

exactly, this makes them have to think before acting, otherwise they might give themselves away, because long-range kills can be stolen, so I needed to do something to nerf the role

#

and also if you don't put it, maybe it could sound a lot like a better telepath, or something like that, since they both kill from afar, but the sniper can choose at the time

cosmic meteor

Maybe it would be better to make a mark not on the sniper, but on his corpse?

In your version, when killing as a sniper, the mark pointed to the sniper himself, but in my version, the mark points to the corpse that the sniper made. Thus, a corpse that is far from the sniper will make it more difficult to catch him

Lovebirds (neutral)
There are always 2 lovebirds.
Lovebirds are very similar to lovers, but they do not know who their partner is. In the game, lovebirds must find their mate by checking each player.

The parrot can transform as a morph into any player, his task is to put himself under the knife and die. That's right, his task is to die (if he is thrown out by voting, it doesn't count)

fervent pasture
# cosmic meteor Parrot (neutral) The parrot can transform as a morph into any player, his task i...

but that would discourage the ducks to kill...and if the ducks wont kill then they will hesitate so maybe tune it down like...I dunno...making the parrot die to a specific killing role and if that killing role is dead(or no longer available like vigi) then the goal switch?

Seriously it's not that easy to think of a role that needs to die to win and that it would discourage the killers from killing people...which is why most social deduction games has a person that needs to win if someone thinks they are a killer or a role that accuses someone, their target, and wants them voted to win

cosmic meteor
#

I had an idea to make the parrot win only if killed by a "peaceful knife" (from a sheriff, vigilante, avenger, lobbyist or other role), but then the peaceful ones would not kill suspects

#

you can make the ducks see players who “may be parrots”, sort of like a fortune teller, if they report. Only here already at any meeting. The fewer players, the fewer possible parrots

fervent pasture
#

Inspector (Duck): You can tap on any player including your duck partners to see if they died later on. The inspector can also vent. View their dead bodies and remember to notice if their corpses disappear by using the map. Protect your ducks from geese that can kill and neutrals that kill & Eat bodies. Similar to the clairvoyance sabotage in the basement.

toxic cloud
#

Sacrificial (Goose) Choose who to sacrifice yourself for. Can choose anyone else but yourself. The role takes the place of the person chosen if they're attacked. The killer is outed during voting but does not give away what team they are on.

Addendum: This allows the ducks to throw one of the goose or neutral killing roles under the bus and would force them to throw suspicion off of themselves or their teammates.

The mocking bird (neutral or duck)

The mocking bird can tag anyone. once the meeting is called, the target will instead be put up on a microphone stand(like one of those stages where the comedian go to the microphone).

No one will be talking except the target. anyone, neutral killers included, may choose the fate of the person to throw tomatoes at them(they will die) or live but the meeting will end as a "skip"

If duck: Twice per game. If neutral: if the mocking bird does a few tasks, they get to target someone else

I dunno what their win condition...sure "if the person dies by tomato" but people will choose the person to always live...

Rat (Neutral) (Eagleton Springs role) The rat will have to complete fake tasks to gain the ability to go into a frenzy. While in frenzy mode it will be able to kill. The rat will be disguised, so they can not be recognized during frenzy mode. He will be 2x faster than the current set speed during a frenzy and 4x faster in the sewers during a frenzy. The frenzy won't end until the rat kills one person. Once the rat kills a certain amount of people, a 60 second countdown will begin. If the rat is not dead or tasks are not completed by the end of the timer, the rat wins. The rat can always use the toilets in eagleton springs. The sewers will be expanded for the rat, he will be the only one able to enter the expanded part. He may use this part to hide. There is also 3 fake tasks in this expanded area that will randomly spawn and once they complete those tasks, they will not appear again in that round. The rat can be killed while in a frenzy. The expanded sewers and the toilets will not be accessible during the 60 second countdown.

Every time you vote against a specific player, your voting power against them increases. This is not available in games with open voting.

However, if you vote for the blue player afterward, only 1 vote will be counted against them. To increase your influence against a specific player, you need to keep voting for them. Skipping a vote will not increase your voting power.)

Its an important step of building upon ideas Happy #📌︱idea-channels-guidelines

  1. Can this idea be put it without massively overhauling the rules of the game?
  2. Does this idea make for a more fun experience without being at the expense of other players?
  3. Does it make sense from a thematic point of view?
  4. Does it generate a win-condition on it's own and if so does it have no conflicts with existing roles?
  5. Does it make the game more interesting for everyone playing?

If the answer is yes to the above, it's a good idea to sit and think about your role and then decide a good way to word it.
If you can't word it in 2 SHORT sentences it probably is too complicated.

Description:

After the death of another player, the Whisper can connect with the ghost once in a while and listen to short messages or hints. For example, the ghost can indicate who eliminated him or provide information about suspects. However, the Whisper must be careful - if he reveals himself, he may become a target of ducks who do not want the truth to come out.

There should be more roles like Clown, that have to do with Silencing multiple times in a round, or Extra Voting Power multiple times to kill them during a meeting.
My ideas for these types of roles are….
Executioner (Duck)
Give extra votes to players. Repeated usage will kill them. Your tasks are fake.

The Executioner just has to use their “extra voting ability” once to give one extra vote a meeting, twice to give two extra votes a meeting, and any more usage will give that player the votes, but also making them vote themself.

First and second times wont make them vote themself. But anything after that will stack onto them. Like the Preacher, you cannot give this ability to your fellow ducks!

When a player caught in the illusion uses the skill, becomes the object of the skill, or reports the corpse, the interaction is disabled and wakes up from the illusion, shows the illusion kill (does not trigger the automatic alarm of Canada Goose), and disappears from the eyes of other players, the corpse loses its hiding effect and is reviewable
When the illusionist performs his next kill, the player caught in the illusion will also wake up

Pyrotechnician (Duck) (only in Carnival, without Demolitionist): You can only kill players by implanting fireworks in them. The player with the implanted firework only knows about it when it explodes. When it explodes, the map is marked where they died, and it makes a lot of fireworks noise, distracting the players and creating opportunities for sabotage.

Related Achievements:

  • Explosion Show: Win 75 times as the Pyrotechnician.

  • Isn't it Beautiful?: Successfully implant 10 fireworks in a game.

  • More Explosions, More Fun: Successfully implant 200 fireworks.

Description: The Infiltrator is a deceptive duck who can temporarily disguise themselves as a goose, blending in to mislead others and execute strategic sabotages from within the group.
Abilities:
Goose Disguise: Once per game, the Infiltrator can assume the appearance of a specific goose, including their name and cosmetics, for a limited time. This allows them to perform tasks and participate in meetings without raising suspicion.
Sabotage Relay: While disguised, the Infiltrator can initiate sabotages without revealing their true identity, making it harder for geese to identify the source of disruptions.

The Toucan’s primary goal is to kill the Pigeon, meaning it can only be chosen in Draft if a Pigeon is in play. I like the idea of a duck giving other players kill abilities, like an arms dealer. Maybe instead it grants a regular kill button for the round instead of an assassin shot. It probably should only be able to be given to non ducks and granting the ability by being the only person to vote for them.

#

It could be interesting to see an arms dealer duck to put power in the wrong hands like the preacher, but it also opens up some claim spaces and excuses like “I’m still the canadian, but I killed someone right in front of you guys because the arms dealer gave me a kill button”

#

only problem may be adding an extra button for players given a kill button

A "Spy goose" would be cool to have, and Medium would be a good name for the role.
Medium as it is is a largely disliked, underutilized role. Pretty much 100% (or more) of everyone ever who randoms into Medium in draft immediately complains afterward, so an ability to successfully spy on one player once per game in addition to knowing the number of ghosts would make it less bad for those who want something better.
It would still be challenging for them to come in clutch, just because if players are suspect, chances are you're not going to be the only one to vote for them to be able to know whether they're actually a killer for sure, or perhaps a Dodo.
