It feels like the same people have been getting the same roles over and over, how come it isn't random?

The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.

PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!

If they could get their servers straightened out and manage to put together a game that incorporated a report system that actually worked, and get some anti hack programs that actually worked, they might get more players.

Their reputation is pretty sore due to the community that plays though, so I think that agenda for future goals is already tainted

yeah I got tired of Among us because 2 roles get very repetitive and cause another issue.
Because one of the role is rarer than the other, people get frustrated when they aren't imp and leave the game, making the game shorter and unbalanced and to my knowledge, they aren't punished for that.
GGD has plenty of roles and even if you get a goose, you can have a special goose with unique power.
also players are punished for leaving.

I think it would be interesting, if you could just get a general direction of a killer, like the technician knows where a sabotage occurred, but you only know a general location of a sinner. You can't pinpoint the exact location, but you have "a gut feeling" of the place where a murder occurred.

Now you see normally, but your ability to see through walls is severely restricted by a timer. People mostly dislike the role, because they don't know how useful it can be and think its useless

getting to see useful info is highly dependent on using it at a time when there is something happening AND looking in the right direction

plus very fiddly (especially on PC) controls for it can interfere as well, leaving it to be very difficult to get much use out of. the uptime is fairly good, but about 50/50 you'll miss what mattered just on timer, much less watching somewhere with something useful.
Snoop is the same. If nothing happens there, you're just wasting time instead of tasking, or watching people more randomly.
And some maps both are stronger/weaker than on others

That's what we are saying... it's more useless now. Still strong to look through doors during door sabs and if you have high player intuition. Both the snoop and the BW IMHO are higher skill cap roles with mechanic being significantly stronger.
