To add to the previous answers .. there was this response last year.

There will be group adventures, maybe dungeon like, but we won't have huge raids that require lots of prep and grinding beforehand```

It all depends on how the world evolves over time as to when anything like this might be added if not there from release.   The story and world will grow over time so it's quite possible that certain aspects of the game will be added when the story warrants it and the world is big enough to handle it.

One of my theories is that they are our descendants that have integrated into the indigenous race, with very little Human DNA left after the 3000 years give or take since the humans disappeared. But it could also be that they came to Palia after we disappeared and are finding out what happened before they arrived etc. Only time will tell what the true story is.

@near vine if you have the price change due to supply and demand then that is not a medium point between pre-set and fully player run economies. That’s exactly what Runescape does and people easily learned to abuse it and exploit it

I think a range of prices as you suggested is a very good idea

The reason why I think it would be different is because you can’t manipulate the price to be ridiculously high. For example, you set an item price to be $10-$20. Worst case scenario, it stays on the upper end of the preset range, which isn’t so ridiculously high that no one can buy anything. Best case scenario, people put items up whenever they can and it naturally fluctuates to make it more fair (e.g. if an item is rare and in high demand, they get slightly more than normal for it).

It’s not perfect, but if some people want set prices because they don’t want a ridiculous markup while others want the opportunity to sell items for a small profit, then it might appease both.

But I agree that a price range where people can choose their own price it better. I was just suggesting that if they went a “fixed” price amount, having an algorithm that adjusts the price based on supply/demand might be better.

as I said, I don’t think it would be so different, even if the prices won’t get to extreme levels it is still a system that is exploitable and would require more balancing

yea, we've been talking with the neighbours about shoring up the millstream out back. It's not gone up by a meter and a half, but it has gone up by a good 40cm and that's more than it has for the past 50 years apparently

Chuu was the name give to the beaver like critters while Chapaa turned out to be the official name for them.... then there was the big war of 2021 when the Chuu Follwers and the Chapaa Followers did battle to claim the ownership of the rightful name .. to this day it hasn't been successful .. with the devs winning outright

In the beginning, the server was without form and void. And lorelessness was upon the face of the deep. All we had was the Palia announcement trailer, so people started trying to name the creatures in it without any source material - this led to the war Xrystal mentioned.

Reminds me of when we were little and my mother trying to grow strawberries. Sibling would eat them even when they were green.

It would be nice to grow herbs, fruit and veg to aid with medicine, cooking and selling
