FFXIV has a specific bard class, it's the only class that lets you play instruments randomly. Otherwise the old Infinity engine games like Baldurs Gate or Icewind Dale have bard classes, pretty sure it was ''OP'' in some of them too.

Yeah, my theory, based on the #❓│old-team-answers-alpha response regarding the 'adventure zones with many different elements' being added as the game progresses. It is possible that, based on Aidan's traditional combat later on down the line, that the story we get to live as the game grows could include combative enemies that won't directly effect the players who don't want to go out and fight but those that do, may have somewhere to go to fill that need in Palia. The question is, if no one chooses to fight at all, will it affect the progression of the game as a whole ? to if some or many decide to fight ?

Yeah, there are many from the early days that still haven't beat the Palia Lottery yet. But they are adding more people each invite wave with more coming this year .. so 🤞 that you get lucky. Some of us got in after an 8 month wait .. so it can take awhile. But bear in mind that we have only had a few sets of invite waves .. 2 in pre-alpha, 2 in the alpha. With over 100k people waiting to get in, and them testing their hardware limits as well as the game, the numbers will take awhile to climb up, so be patient, and hopefully you will get an invite in the next wave.

I can't agree more to this. I ran two game projects, both with 4 people including me, we had to make the game in 5 months. The majority of these projects come out unfinished, in a terrible state of development or finished but with half the features cut off.
Singularity 6 will take the time they will need to develop Palia, so it can come out with what has been announced. And meanwhile, we will support them the best we can ^^

A lot of people are just over the moon about the basic idea of Palia, so I can understand some of that explosive excitement. It's all the side stuff I like in other games, brought to the front. I've been patting the table for it for over a year, but occasionally I bang my fork too. It's just that good.
