There is literally nothing to suggest that Palia's development has been stopped. Game development takes time.

Obviously if they do end up cancelling the game we'll all be Very Sad™️ and more than a little disappointed. But it's a little soon to forecast doom and gloom and call it "another Peria Chronicles".

I understand, though, that in particular this may be annoying coming from someone like me; and I apologize for that. But when I say "there's nothing to suggest the development has been stopped", I mean the use of #851872239435644928 and #❓│old-team-answers-alpha on the regular, the ever-increasing openness in #📢│palia-news as time goes on, and the stuff shared in #🌠│official-art.

Game's not out yet, and it won't be for a while, because as said - game development takes time. Also money. And testing to make sure nothing is too broken at launch. Thankfully the S6 team is doing everything they can to ensure Palia is as great as it can be! :>

Signing up multiple times does not guarantee you will get in...it just repeats to the system that you have signed up. There is no confirmation email or anything (in my opinion an oversight, but...)

Game development takes time, resources, and a lot of testing to make sure nothing is too broken at launch. We just talked about this about an hour ago.

A game on the scale of an MMO takes significantly more time, resources, and testing than games of other types.

As someone who has been here, in and out due to mental health reasons, since nearly the beginning? I'd like to point out that this has been a known topic from the start. The team has been transparent that this game is early in development, and is going to take several years to complete.

We're not snarking at you, nobody's upset, but we are informing you that this is just how it is.

Game dev takes time. Years is not extreme for a game of this scale.

I've spent hours debugging a JavaScript plugin for RPG Maker before. Simplest of the simple.
I've spent days poring over Python code. It's not that complex, either, but it did involve tracking something incorrectly.
Not to mention the weeks I spent figuring out when I incorrectly serialized data in C++.

Those were all isolated pieces of larger projects. Those incidents stack up in something like developing an entire game.

Much less a multiplayer setup like an MMO with server-client interactions. Please understand.

Other games don't usually announce this early in development so it just looks like it is taking longer than other games to finish. They just got us in at the early testing stage so that we can help mould the game into something that would appeal to more people. It is much harder to make changes down the line than add them as you go.

As to your luck at getting into testing, many of us waiting 8 months or more and finally got into the alpha testing There are still thousands more still waiting to get into test the game. But there are more tests happening this year, they just need time between test phases to look at the feedback, apply changes and add new features before the next test group gets introduced to the game and offer their feedback.

I actually was looking at some old pictures from the prealpha they released and was wondering what some of the furniture in one of the pictures was.

It was like a small mesh cage on a table that had a hole at the bottom that went into a bag. Seemed like some kind of resource furniture but cant think of what a real life equivalent would be.

I was gonna say, after seeing the arcade cabinet in one of the new pictures, if maybe there will be a tv we get daily information from like in stardew valley and harvestmoon. But NOW I'm thinking it would be a lot cuter/cozier if there was a board in town that you could go to with daily/weekly updates. Could have potential updates to the weather that are expected or maybe say that certain crops will be doing very well in the upcoming week, or even horoscopes! Horoscopes could be really fun considering I think they mentioned having their own constellations in the game.

In regards to that we know 2 things so far. 1. there will be no combat at launch but they are looking to implement one later, how long that will take will be up to the player base as players supporting their favorite concepts to be added to the game will be looked at first. 2. is that there will be "dungeon-like" areas in the game. No info on what these dungeons will be like, but one theory is that it will have puzzles that you solve to progress through it.
