At the moment you can't. All you can do is sign up at the official site and perhaps you'll get the chance to be part of the future tests. The release itself is still around 2 and a half years away.

I think there might be daily ways to generate currency you use to buy things.

But I don't think game economy is that important to Palia because the game solely focuses on cosmetics to monetise (They published a post about monetization - see: https://palia.com/palia-business-model/).

As long as the daily experience is good, i.e. you don't have to grind so hard to get currency, the game's economy works fine then.

Currency isn't just important for in game npc shops but also for player to player exchange. They already confirmed that gold is in the game as in game currency, so there must be something that's worthwhile that can be bought from npc's. My first guess would be at least basic furniture and outfits unless tailoring is a profession. As for player to player exchange will we have a market board to list items for money or will we have a purely 1 on 1 bartering system.
