I can't speak exactly to where you are, but expanding servers across the globe should eventually happen as we expand localization support, and work with distribution partners. As long as everything goes well. ```

My view of how it might work from reading their matchmaking document is that there is one world server that everyone plays on but the physical servers you may be placed on at any one time will change based on which of your friends are online and what servers are active with space. But that's just my take on it. If I am understanding that right RP should be fine.

Would instance selection fix that? Some MMOs I've played have had that, where a single map will create a new 'instance' once it reaches a certain cap of players in it and a dropdown menu in the corner allows you to choose which instance you're in (provided there's a space open there). Some games even took it a step further and showed you which one your friends were in.

The guy who enjoys fishing in a peaceful park for 4 hours a day may not be the same guy who enjoys fast-paced sports, for instance (though sometimes he is). Same with games; people want different things out of them and might be bored if they're too slow and overwhelmed if they're too fast.

I'm just glad Palia is what it is because there are plenty of 'fast' MMOs on the market and few that focus more on chill vibes and comfort.

Hello there Madshooter. Palia is still in development and has no official release date. There have been some vague responses from S6 developers saying "less than 3 years" but we should not necessarily hold that to an official date or current state of the development for the game.

The good news of course is that Alpha testing has NOT yet started and will hopefully be starting sometime in the first half of 2022. So if you are interested in helping playtest Palia, be sure to head for https://www.palia.com, sign up with your email and complete the brief survey. yes the idea of Palia is as a cosy game .. decorating the house you build on your plot of land, use the land to grow plants on. We know of a few skills that you can build but there are more yet to be revealed to us. If and when they add any less peaceful options they will be just that, options.

Hello. my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 201 days since pre-alpha took my wife, and 136 days since she came back. We are 31 days into the first half of 2022, and "less than 2 years, 4 months, and 5 days" from release. And if anyone cares, 35 days from my 48th birthday. I think that's all the pertinent time frames.

I'm find myself in sort of a Palia holding pattern. With the pre-alpha not going on, most of my time is spent playing games with Passion, so my time on the chat is reduced a lot. I peek in now and then, but I don't say much. Which isn't to mean I'm not excited for Palia. Far from it. I have the "tummy rumblies" for Palia, as an animated llama wearing a hat would say. Except it's not hunger pains, and I'm not craving baked human hands. I see posts from Amelia, and I get butterflies shimmerflies in my stomach. Those kind of rumblies.

The thought of alpha fills me with a lot of antici...

... pation. I've said I'm gaming with Passion, and our game of choice is Ark at the moment. And in a few days the Valentines event begins, and they have a fishing event this year. And Passion says "Eeeeee! Fishing!" and after a few moments her eyes lose focus. And there's a slight twitch of her cheek. And I know that it's not the Ark fishing she is craving. It's Palia fishing. I can see the tears well up in her eyes. And I can't do anything to fix it. Only Palia can fix it.

Palia. It's the all-day fishing, mining, cooking, growing, decorating, building so you can game medicine.

I grew up in Southern California (nasty desert), but I moved to Tennessee where it is green and actually gets rain. I love it here. We do get snow from time to time, but it usually is gone by the afternoon, sometimes the next day.
