They haven't detailed what accessibility features they are hoping to include but they have said there will be some. But the alpha may not have them all available.

There is this dev comment - searching for more - [S6] BuscoBear — 06/04/2021 You need the mouse but its more required for the UI than playing the game. Folks with accessibility software and other input devices shouldn't have to worry about clicking in the world to move or anything like that

I know they mentioned color blindness being covered but can't find that post at the moment

with a steam deck, you can tenchically play anything thats on your computer. its hard to say if there will be total compatibility, but the steam deck should just act as a remote monitor at that point

and that compatibility is on steam deck side, not so much palia side

technically no, as you can add any game to a steam library. but also i like to think of it like how my TV works. i can remote play anything from my computer onto my tv and the OS of my tv and steam OS are basically two sides of the same coin (modified linux distrobutions)

There's a pretty open fast travel system in the Alpha right now and we're considering all forms of feedback on how to improve it.

So maybe the zones themselves are big .. but there will be ways to go from zone to zone rather than travel through all of them if you don't want to

Otherwise, you miss hidden gems, such as Hades isn't the devil and is actually the nicest of the gods, and Valhalla isn't the only afterlife, there's also Fólkvangr. We do not know what these Palian's believed in, it may surprise us in what they found faith in. Engineering? Mysticism? Star charts? Kind of excited myself to find out.

Thor is played as a hero in North American culture, but as a wholesome guy. In lore, Thor was really full of himself. The Aesir, not that great, heck, they sacrificed Tyr's arm to Fenrir because Odin got spooked Fenrir would go crazy and tried to have Fenrir chained ... which is like ... funny because that made Fenrir go crazy. Loki ... like, not the greatest, but kind of made sure the Aesir actually did the right thing when the time came to it.

This all just goes to show that while we make parallels to our own human society, we should be careful when observing Palian humans, they could be vastly different in even their psychological outlook. They may have different core values and ideas than we do today.

I don’t know eco and we haven’t been told about the economy in Palia yet and so far all we know about neighbourhoods are that they are like guilds but… many of the news sites who were at the preview were told there was so much in the neighbourhood system that it would need their own preview session. The pinned messages include one of mine with a list of some of these sites.

No date has been released yet but we have an estimated window of less than 2 and a half years with 4-5 test cycles to go before it will be ready for everyone to play. Closed alpha is expected in the first half of this year though .. sign up if not already for a chance to get in the game in one of the test cycles.

Not MY dad, but Zagreus' dad (who is the character you're playing in Hades). You should check it out! It won a Hugo award, which is the first time a video game has won.
