Well Palia was only announced last Summer and while the media coverage has been decent from many gaming news sites, there has not been a lot of outforward marketing during these early stages.

The game is still relatively early in development overall (just finished pre-alpha a few months ago)

They have not specified details of any upfront cost or microtransactions. How they will monetize the game will likely be announced much closer to the game's launch.

Palia is still in development and has no official release date. There have been some vague responses from S6 developers saying "less than 3 years" but we should not necessarily hold that to an official date or current state of the development for the game. The good news of course is that Alpha testing will hopefully be starting sometime in the first half of 2022.

two CRAFTING + TIMESTUFF =

I am really looking forward to the crafting aspect but have seen some games time gate crafting behind limits. Is there going to be some time gating on some of the crafting, whether it is limit per day or some recipes take several hours to complete? Also FF14 has a unique crafting system that requires you to pay attention and use crafting abilities at the right time, and each craft can be different. What level of active work will the crafting have or will it just be hit the craft button and you get the item if you have the resources? - Lazerez

We aren't committed to a single approach for crafting in Palia. For example, we’ve developed an involved mini-game with our Cooking skill where each of the steps involved can affect the outcome. We felt this approach most aligned with the fantasy and skill element of cooking in real life. Simultaneously, some other crafting options are as simple as putting resources into a crafter and letting them do their thing. In this case we do have an element of time gating, but it's important to note that we mostly time-gate crafting materials, and not final, usable products (such as décor and tools).This makes it important to think strategically about how you’re going to allocate those resources to meet your evolving needs.

We know there are multiple tools used for cooking ( check the #🌠│official-art if you haven't seen the ones they showed there ) and that there are recipes that are part of other recipes ( from one of the revealed recipes ) and that it is something that can be done together ( I think that was mentioned here at least - at worst it was one of the preview event news sites mentioning that element ) - So I would imagine that you would do some level of preparation of the ingredients, then cooking them, either on the stove or in the oven, and then serving up on the plates.

I give you one advice if someone tells you they roll something you need to remind them you are calling rolls remember. It's not that annoying but may lead to arguments and chaos.

And regarding the chat theme I'm quite intrigued by the unique mix of palia over all.
For example I played Black Desert Online just for the life skills. Something like having a farm, fishing, managing production queues and later just shipping the stuff or deliver it per trade wagon.
Quite relaxing game when under level 50. 😄
These are some things I may want to do in Palia myself, if possible.

I'm not sure if there can be a player driven or regulated economy, but overall I'm relaxing with self given tasks.
Something like producing some trade goods, then later delivering them at some point. Or just foraging and exploring forests, mines and stuff.
Also all of these things feel better in groups.

There was a time in a real old mmo(Runes of Magic) where I just went on to farm herbs for hours in secluded or less frequented and therefor less known areas just to refine them and to sell them the next day. Most of the times feeling like the "It's not much, but it's honest work"-meme. 😄

I had that time in Eve Online, just buying salvaged materials from safe sec to null sec via contractors and selling it remote. At that level this space game plays more like an excel spreadsheet. Fun for a while, but not overall...

The only trick i know is a small marketboard trick...

Find something in demand, farm it, then sell it in smaller stacks on the world trade board for a slightly higher price but because of the smaller stacks the total ammount is still small so people tend to pick your before the stack of 99..

Is what I did in Ruines of Magic.
I had some herbs which are in higher demand because the game was missing a recipe to level up cook.
Also the herbs grew in secluded areas one alone would never go because there's no real amount of xp to farm there. Then doing what you describe the next day in trade chat and zone.
Worked quite well for a long time.

In SWG I made 1 of everything and see what sold the quickest .. then I made 3 of those and see which sold the quickest .. those ones I ended up making each day and kept to 1-3 items of all droid parts for sale .. I supplied full droids to players and droid parts to other Droid Engineers .. win win

This week's prompt is to doodle all the little stuff you've liked in the art, trailer, and other things the company has shown us so far. 👀 I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do yet, since there's so much to choose from. I may go with personal effects from NPCs, like Einar's hat or Auni's bug net (he's got one in the picnic picture!)
