i don't think it will be - the game had a lot of backing even when it was intending to be a niche offering (before they saw how popular it suddenly was) so i imagine they'll do just fine as far as making enough to satisfy investors as it stands

and it being a small, independent company goes a long way to eliminating the whole shareholder pressure side of things

There are no servers like that .. we have no control over what servers we play on .. we click play and go .. it will automagically allocate you to a server with any friends you have ( assuming they are logged in I suspect ) - Nor are we tied to the servers we are placed on .. the next time you log in you may be placed on another server.

based on some things whoa has said in the past, and my own assumtions based on those things, the game learnes who you interact with, who you are friends with, and sometimes, who you may not usually interact with, does a ton of math and learning, and places you amongst those people

that's sort of what worries me - I personally see it almost as a limit so that I mostly play with my bubble. Again, that's my cynical take on it and I hope it gets better over time, but I just don't see why a system like that would be in place

It’s a worthy question for the Q and A but outside of insta watering or an automated sawmill I can’t think of any skills that would have a use for it so hard to say if there’s a use for it . If I read the team answers post right I think to balance out the timing between gathering and crafting for the different skills they put a time sink into gathering to offset faster crafting. For example: Because cooking is so long winded in its process the gathering portion - fishing / farming / hunting may be a bit faster than say mining where the crafting side is simple like putting the ore in the furnace template and wait rofl but like I said that’s just my understanding of that team answers response.

Animal Taming/Husbandry is a common topic in the devs office ( based on the June Q & A ) but no mention of how it would be used outside of pets and mounts and the obvious food and clothing sources. Some people have thought of aquarium like things for looking at the fish you caught or your own pond where you could breed your own fish for private fishing source
