Well it would depend on whether the items are used in intermediate crafted items .. like in one of the cooking recipes .. you make some rice .. and then you add that rice to another dish you make. So quite possibly you could utilise alot of these common items on intermediate crafting that will be useful.

Eventually if I grow enough cottonn as a fabric weaver. I'll have too many seeds to use.

Interesting idea for items you will inevitably have more of them you know what to do with.

1. Seeds
   Bird Feed
   2.Hay/Grass
   Make Scarecrows.
2. Compost Bin.
   Throw weeds in to get compost
3. Pigs
   They can eat just about anything. Even burnt food.
4. Goats can actually eat almost everything. Excluding stone and metal. You could even feed a goat a loose stick and it'd be happy
5. Sticks and fabric.
   Doggos and cattos make hap hap
6. Fish bait
   You could use small versions of different species to attract certain kinds of bigger species.. Its the cycle of life in the water after all.
   8.Failed herb gathers
   Poison plant= Garden protectors. Could be phrased as very pungent.
7. When furniture is destroyed it could give back the unworked product.
8. Meat can be turned into very simple dishes for people who don't like cooking.

I think furniture making was heavily hinted at on their twitter page, so maybe some of the resources for that skill will come from mining and using the forge to create maybe nails that get used in woodworking recipes 🤷‍♀️ Just theorising now based on the little we've been told so far in that area

The only comment I have on crossplay is to be aware of the limitations.

Phantasy Star Universe was a game that suffered some pretty harsh setbacks because the developers and/or higher-ups insisted on supporting the PlayStation 2 alongside the Xbox 360 and PC versions. For instance, quests were limited in how many entities were available per segmented area - with X many restricted for item boxes (think environmental aspects as well as traditional RPG chests and boxes) and buttons and such, it became difficult for them to design dynamic and interactive quests. This was entirely, to my understanding, due to the limitations of the hardware of what the PS2 could keep up with.

I don't know that that's going to be an issue in modern times. Much less with Palia not known to have dungeons or such. But it's something to think about.

Well that is definitely what Palia will have. It will have a world story line, a mystery to solve about the humans suddenly appearing in the world. The npcs also have friendship story lines with some expanding to romance story lines for those wanting to expand to that level. They have also got plenty of things to do that will allow friends to play together.

there is so much potential for the game because its in the early stages of development. they could add anything the community wants. but it most likely wont happen because a lot of stuff are not profitable to add to the game

If they wanted pure profit they would likely have created a game that everyone else is making .. instead they have gone for the clear opposite, concentrating on the elements that most if not all of the other mmos put down as an after thought preferring to put their efforts in other areas.

Is this something players want to grind? Is it meant to be social? I haven't heard about whether it is voxel based or not .. but it isn't procedural .. it's curated. They haven't specified if there are fixed resource points just that they have a unique way of managing resources and that there will be enough for everyone ( that last part I may have got mixed up with housing lots as I can't find the quote for it at the moment ).

Maybe? We know for sure there's different types of skills to level-up/work on, but we don't know anything about running businesses or anything.

We know there will be different skill activities such as gardening, hunting, etc. However, whether they will be defined as jobs is not exactly detailed so we don't know how progressing in certain skills will work. The game will be designed so that players can focus on activities that they do want to engage in more than others.
