Don't know about Cafe Du Monde. Trung Nguyén is one of the most successful brands abroad of Vietnam, though I think a lot of the smaller brands are tasty too. They can be difficult to find as Vietnamese brands, as they export a lot of their beans as beans too.

With the tea that I bought from the tea-store I learned that the proper brewing temperature and time does matter and got good results when I followed the instructions. Where I got mine, I got to taste some tea first before I selected from their catalogue, so I knew I liked some that they had. I'd hope that similar places where I got mine exist elsewhere. Now I'm no tea-expert, but perhaps you've just had either bad quality tea, or bad instructions?

the surface pro is windows, but it doesn't always seem to read as a laptop, sometimes it reads apps as a mobile device.... I'm hoping it'll work since I dont have a PC

Looking up Surface Pro and compatibility with Unreal Engine people have said that it can handle some apps written on the engine. Whether it will run a game, even one as low spec as Palia is aiming to be we will have to wait and see. 🤞

I think we have a conversation about monetization almost daily in this chat, because it is a popular question (understandably!) and nearly everyone has an opinion about what type of system they would prefer. But in the end we really don't know what we happen, and no solution will make everyone happy. All we can do is wait and see and hope that all who want to play, can!

We can however hope and convey (if we agree upon it) that it would be nice if they were transparent about it once they make decisions or change directions, like they are about many other things. While its a nasty truth that every company wants money, there are reasonable amounts of money to want and to plan for. As far as budgeting goes, averages, maximum's minimums per player (regardless of method and model) are interesting in their own right. Incentivising purchases to an amount, discouraging them over it? Those types of discussions could be had if the opinions of the (to become) players want to be heard

No matter what decision will be made someone will be unhappy anyway so let's hope that most of us will like tha decision and that's all we can do.

Yes there are definitely good/fair ways to go about it, and there are also money-hungry ways. I think that S6 will take feedback very seriously and will want the pricing to feel "right" keeping in mind Palia's cozy feel.

I don't know if I will be able to explain this in english, but I think It is very hard to price something that have no frontiers. I live in a south american country, and our money is really devalued. So, 20 dolars today is more than 10% of a minimal salary in my country. That is just one of the factors that made this hard to decide. Usually, many companies don't think to much for this perspective.

Hello my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 83 days since pre-alpha took my wife, and 18 days since pre-alpha returned her to me.

The days on the calandar continue to progress unabated, but time has begun to blur. It's gotten to the point that a mere "What's not to like?? 💜" on Twitter from the official Palia account causes a moment of heart-stopping hype, which then fades back to that blur.

We're in the holding pattern between pre-alpha and alpha. And we don't know how long we're going to have to remain seated in an upright position with seat belts on. For all we know, there's several months worth of fuel in this aging 747 we're all stuck in. And sadly, I've seen the in-flight movie too much for it to interest me anymore.

I guess I'll just pick up my book until we land.
