It's been my understanding that there was only ever going to be two body types, masculine and feminine with the option to customize yourself to look however you want.

As an RPer, I agree with you. I want people to be able to enjoy Palia even if all they want to do is story, mechanics, or laying in a field staring at the sky after a long work day. I dunno if an algorithm would solve that, but being able to have some hand in avoiding content you don't enjoy seems important.

Authors (and artists) of any variety are roleplayers. Quite literally you're putting yourself in the perspective of someone or something who is not you. There are different levels of doing this (up to and including costuming and live sessions), but anything from writing a story about a frog down to creating a version of yourself that is a frog follows the same principle.

No, they have said they won't have servers be locked. But haven't revealed exactly what their planned set-up is yet...but you won't sign up for a server when you join
