A great draw to the game for many is the beautiful simplicity of the art

I have issue with many Asian MMOs(Like FF XIV, Aion) interfaces they are just ugly(and that annoying sound) and hard to read. I like WoW UI on the other hand.

It also depends on each person's current circumstances. I currently am in a great place and have some extra funds I could throw around for stuff like gaming. If it had been 2-3 years ago, I'd be laughing at your face as I was working two jobs and could barely squeeze rent out of the little money I was getting. MMOs have their own rules in case of monetisation. A lot of the have sub and that's the safest way to secure incom for studio. Some MMOs usually free to play ones are more expensive in general to have the same level of fun and quality of playing as Buy to play ones.

I feel this game could lend itself to "some" microtransactions that wouldn't affect overall gameplay. You have seen screenshots of the housing/decorating. I could see them announcing a particular decorating set (Unicorn set!) and charging for those interested in buying the set to use for decorating. Not saying they will go that route, but I could see where they could prob make money that way

The problem is that usually in game shop offer advantage to those systems so IF there would be shop in Palia I have on idea what Devs would sell there that would not fell like pay to win or just unfair(I know world is unfair but that's why we play games right?)

Yeah I agree, sadly I think that's not a good model because more often than not it promotes to just buy it up front and it diminishes the feeling of having worked for it and those who bought it feel cheated because they paid for something you can get for free. It's a nice idea but I think it backfires to much emotionally for people
