yes games can put there game in the early access program on steam. and you can buy and play the game while it is still being developed. players get to see the development over time. and devs can receive feedback and suggestions from players to help shape the game and expose bugs to be fixeed

A lot of it is cash grabs for unfinished products due to funding running out, other being lack of motivation and other just, sheer bad luck? Early access definitely has it's benefits but there's also a lot of set backs from it

Day 53 Part 1:

Hello my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 53 days since pre-alpha took my wife. And it's a long weekend too, at least here in North America. Time off, and I can't join her.

But it did make me consider holidays in Palia. Clearly we can't have in-timeframe holidays. With 1 real hour equating to 1 in-game day, a holiday would last 1 hour and happen ever 15 days. So, like other MMOs, we need to break that rule.

The other thought though, more prevalent, is what holidays? I don't want real-world holidays. Two reasons:

• 1: It's not our world. Why would they have our holidays?
• 2: Many holidays are either religious in nature, or from a specific country. Not all-inclusive.

So, I thought to myself, "Self, can you figure something out?" So, I did. I think Palia would work great with four major holidays. And we pick them not based on Christmas, or July 4th, or any of that stuff. And it looks something like this:

Day 53 part 2:
Holiday 1: Nature Day. Based on the modern idea of Earth Day. Would happen the week of Earth Day, which is 3rd week in April usually. A celebration of nature,

Holiday 2: Midsummer. Assuming Palia has seasons, it stands to reason the longest day of the year deserves a celebration (who the heck celebrates the longest night?). We could make this June as well, but maybe Palia runs a slightly different calender.

Holiday 3: Health Day. Much as Nature Day celebrates the environment, Health Day celebrates people. The easiest real world option would either be World Cancer Day (Feb), or any time in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Ho9liday 4: I don't have a name for this day. I don't have a time of the year for this day. And like many real world holidays, this one is controversial. The 4th holiday is the day humans disappeared. The day the other races celebrate that the humanity left. And now that humans are back, the players have to deal with the concept that the other races liked the idea of no humans.

Anyways, this post became way too long. And may have been suited for suggestions. But... to hell with it. I don't get pre-alpha, so you guys get a huge day 53 post.

There are 2 cables on a screen; data, and power. The signal cable carries the data which make the image. It comes in several types. Display Port, HDMI, DVI, and VGA are the common ones for PCs.
