I didn't quite go as advanced as genetics being a thing in Palia but random mutation possibilities in plants. My understanding is that there are like 3 maybe 4 elements to the game .. the evolving story line which will lead to adventuring, the combat side of things for those interested in that and the socialising aspect for those that want that .. with skilling the area that likely defines you.

@celest maple the ask the team channels are a good source of information. The info in the two faq files in the pins on this channel has been compiled by the community to help speed the process up.

There was also a preview event the day before or on the day the video was released and some of the websites for those people have additional information. My post here ( #💬│palia-discussions message ) has a list of the ones I found were informative. There are others but I found most were identical in wording so I only kept one of those site links.

So yes, in a sense it will be additional elements added over time .. whether in the form of expansion packs or just added to the game they haven't said. How they handle the money side of things .. still up in there and a hot topic here .. I'm just happy enough to wait for them to make a decision and let us know what it is.

As far as we know there are no more spots for Pre-Alpha .. 1400 were reserved and allocated over 2 invite waves a few weeks back. They are still playing. However, they have updated their website with the following: When are future tests happening? We don’t have a specific timeline for large scale tests, but may be running small scale tests and feedback sessions over the coming months. If you’re signed up, we’ll reach out through email to let you know if you’re selected for a test.

well not sure whether you get a choice of fishing rods .. as your tools upgrade as you level, whether automatically or by choice I don't know .. you will only have 1 fishing rod so less worry about inventory space [S6] WillT — 06/03/2021 Yes. You have your cosmetic outfits, of which we already have a dazzling variety. You also have your tools, like pickaxe, fishing rod, butterfly net. These have quality tiers, but you only have one at a time, e.g. a higher-quality axe replaces the lower-tier one, you're not juggling both. There's a huge variety of harvestable and gatherable and craftable items that you can have in your inventory. Tools specifically, we do want it to be as easy and seamless as possible so you're not constantly swapping items and switching to inventory management after every activity.
