Personally I have never had problems in making friends and playing with others in many mmo in the last 20years 😅. I don't know how someone can have bad experience. Part of the lack of big news is likely due to the game still being in Pre-Alpha.

Its too early in development for hot / big info 🙂 The only big info you will see next is likely the Alpha invite wave but that is unlikely to be any time soon as we are still in Pre-Alpha test phase ( all spaces allocated ). The next best thing is the weekly releases of characters and hopefully more regularly animals.

The trailer is made from in engine scenery .. so visually what you could see but not necessarily actually a gameplay video.

Because it is so early in development they don't want to announce too much stuff that is likely to change .. so all they can do is give us info as soon as they are happy it won't change dramatically

The pre-alpha version of the character customization isn't complete yet from what I recall from their comments in #❓│old-team-answers-pre-alpha

They do not want to release any of the gameplay mechanics due to the fact they could change before it goes live. Pre-alpha testing was to get feedback about some core mechanics to see what needs to be changed vs. what's good as is. They will want to make sure anything they release to a full-audience will 100% be something absolutely that will be exactly like it will be in launch...and I don't think they are at that point yet.
