I'd love to see jobs in game mirror what you might be doing really in a medieval type fantasy world, but also I think as humans, the mythic race of legend, we should have things specific to use that are lore friendly, like magical research that use human magic, that other races just don't know, or mechanical engineering. Unless we all developed amnesia there's no reason we shouldn't be bringing back inventions and magical knowledge long thought to be lost

Perhaps make it so that (like modern humans) you know that the technology is possible, because you grew up with it, but you have to figure out HOW it was created (ie gain skill levels) before you can teach it

Not many people know how microwaves work for example, but if we got blasted to a world without them, we would know they CAN be made and might figure it out over time

Maybe we will see new styles of npc buildings after a master builder teaches new techniques. Or new spells used by them, new looking farms etc etc

After you learn it you get the basic blueprints, but after that you need to experiment to learn new potions and create blueprints out of them that you can sell or pass on to other potion-makers.

I think unless they've stated otherwise, you should expect more than just the housing / neighbourhood to be instanced. Reading Xrystal's article, sounds like you'll be loading in players who the game connects relationships with.

The sync is the instances issue, having a static home doesn't increase server load any comparatively. Stuff will have to be rendered regardless, stuff will have to be loaded regardless, calculated etc.

My understanding of it is that the system will learn who you play with by your interactions .. the more you interact the stronger the likelihood you will see them again .. so, say for example you regularly chat with a bunch of people or they are in your friends list .. the algorithm will learn that you and they have a preferred connection so, it will endeavour to keep you on the same server. But thats just my understanding from reading it.

Machine Learning isn't what it's cracked up to be a lot of the time imo, lots of pitfalls and issues, especially in a social aspect. It's attempting to find a pattern where the pattern is so complex/nuanced that it's hard to distinguish without plenty of smaller cues, and at that point ML just can't keep up with that stuff atm. It's like asking it to discern animals. It can probably do a somewhat successful job of separating based on player habits but that's just statistic analysis and not so much Machine Learning. ML only really works well when the steps to reach the end product are the same each time, hence why playing games is something that ML programs are really great at

They're bound to have a friends/ignore list, player control is super important in a social based game because the player knows themselves best. The Machine Learning would essentially be in place to increase the odds that players find like minded others they want to play with, and if that's the goal then that's a decent use of Machine Learning. Just comparing players playtimes and active hours and objectives and stuff to create a compatibility rating would be solid for matchmaking on a social level, but at the same time people like playing with different people as well so it needs to have variance. Just a lot to think about for a social matchmaking ML program

There was an explosion last night in my area. There was a truck that was carrying hundreds of fireworks and they all exploded at once. It was chaotic. Driver is safe though.

Cyberpunk is why you don't lock in dates until the game is basically done. I think they did want it to be good, but couldn't say it was delayed again.

I love this game with may whole 🇵🇱 heart but It was mistake to release it in that state

I never really got into Cyberpunk.

Yeah, about 200 of the pre-alpha invites went out, more will go in the the "coming weeks"

1400 total invites will go out for Pre-alpha
