Before I submit a ticket, because S6 is getting so many tickets, I have a problem: the Lunar Path isn't working for me. I can see the progress bar growing, but I can't collect any rewards. That's point number one. Furthermore, I've already completed several tasks on the quest board/bulletin board, but I still can't click on any chests as rewards. Is this just happening to me, or is it affecting others as well?

if you haven't gotten the premium path to them then you only get the free rewards from them. Also make sure the path you want you hit the little lightning button for that lunar path.

also the chests go with xp you earn from various stuff you do in Palia. Make sure the chests are highlighted to get the rewards

Yes, it's currently pinned because all the other paths are completed, and as I said, I can see the bar rising, but I can't collect anything, no rewards and no truths from the quest board.

Have you shut down your system and completely restarted it, along with resyncing your system date and time while Palia is closed? If that doesn't resolve the yellow claim button not appearing above the levels you have available to claim (and that the bulletin board chests can't be claimed), they'll be able to help you.

Outfit is Veilhunter. idle vfx. It changes colors based on the outfit. One of my favorites, only to be replaced recently by the Draconic Knight set. THAT set one is totally worth the $$$. I can not say enough nice things about that DK- the glider, the toolskins. All of that set rocks!

man im about to make a youtube channel showcasing all of the outfits/tools and their effects as i buy them lol. i just can't find outfit showcases anywhere online. the in game store sucks because it doesn't show the gliding replacements well. also doesn't show the hunting glow effects and it needs a night time lighting setting so you can see if certain outfits glow at night. i honestly can't believe there aren't any channels that showcase that stuff in general. i'm a low spender, so i really like to compare quality of stuff before i buy it. i've only found out certain outfit effects from randomly seeing people use them in game.

like what is this? does the axe have an effect? is it just showing that it is to chop trees? lol

seeing how outfits dye before you buy them would be nice as well

yeah i think we need a lighting setting, better glider showcase, custom dye showcase and a specific ability effect showcase. seems like some of the effects and stuff are newer so maybe they just haven't had time to implement it. maybe they'll do a shop ui overhaul eventually.

i do remember when some of the tool sets were not properly shown on the shop, or at least the effects were very hard to tell due to the lighting, so a feature to present them under different lighting would be amazing for that

this might be a controversial take, but shouldn't maps like the Elderwoods and the Highlands be locked behind Main Quest progression?
story wise it does not makes sense to be there before u get to that point...and well game play wise to...u can*t really do much beside maybe the discovery quests. Echo can only be collected if u have someone with u that already did the main quests, which all good and well i guess.
But i think it kind of ruins the experience to go there before u are supposed to. like what i experienced going in, finding things, while doing the main quest was something special and really cool and that would be taken from new players that just go there before they should.

also the gold...it is everywhere in the higlands...where it was hard to get by before in bahari. u needed to grind for ur honey lures.
and while that would also mean u could not ubgrade ur tools to palium until u get to the woods, this could be fixed by adding rare palium spots to bahari again. if u really instist on getting them u will work for them and if u are patient u will have it easier once u get to the woods....the higland has three ores so can bahari

this would also give people an insensitive to actually do the main quest too

Sadly it's not possible for everyone due to accessibility reasons, be it cause they can't finish Gales or other reasons. Some others just don't care for quests /story and want to explore around.

Games like Star Rail give you the option to skip main story content to be able to enjoy and progress through events and minigames, so that'd be nice to see in Palia too.

Hey yall, I haven't seen this talked about much and just wanted to see if others had any thoughts. I was and am really excited for this update, as I love Palia as well as other games that center around horses. However, I couldn't help but notice when I got my horse that the model and animations are pretty rough. I think how our player character sits and moves on the horse looks great! But, the horses eyes are really not in the right place and the animations and movement feel like the horse is sliding around alot (ik this is kinda how it is when our characters run too), and the legs are kinda flailing around haha. Maybe what's bothering me is the lack of "weight" this game has when it comes to movement? Like our characters leg/running speed doesn't match up perfectly, so sometimes it feels like you're sliding. Since theres no inertia or something and turning is instant, I think I'm finding it more noticeable on the horses. Anyways, just wanted to know if others, maybe other horse game enjoyers also found the horses to be a bit disappointing in these areas. I really hope they improve and I've left this as feedback to the devs as I really like this game and want it to succeed! Also, if you've found what camera settings work for you on the horse maybe that could help me lol.

Yeah, personally I just find the horse controls to be a bit rough. Disabling the hybrid camera helped, personally. I think I selected the manual option.

No, was just reffering to the camera. Since we move the camera alongside the character, that's why I mentioned it's more intuitive. But then again, controlling the horse with the mouse (or having the option) would be a lot better too.

Definitely reply to your ticket or open a new ticket to get help with the missing fish! They'll want to see screenshots of all four pools showing no fish being able to be fished, and, a screenshot of your fish tabs in your locked and regular storage. They should be able to get you the missing item!

And yeah you'll have to process through the MSQ stories in order to get through more MSQ content (such as the ew main story or the RH main story)

On your ticket, if all you've gotten is the auto-reply so far, reply to that so they know you still need help!

What Frogga said, sadly you need to finish Gales to be able to access MSQ content. You can enter EW and the Royal Highlands without finishing, but some stuff is locked behind completing the main story quest.

I also like how the quest text in the quest logs gets updated if something doesn't work right. Like one quest in the new map should automatically teleport you to kilima but I got a server error, so the quest log had a text telling me where to go since there was an unexpected error. That was pretty neat.

if you are referring to gifting resource items like palium to your friends, the closest is through the request system, the player you want to gift can only request 4 items at a 24 in game hour time period and must gotten that item before

if you are referring to items like plushies and stickers, you could "gift" plushies to your friends through the method

I wanted to share some feedback as a new player who became deeply invested in Palia because of its story, lore and community.
The Human mystery, losing our memories, Flow, Aurus, the Order and the recent story quests became the main reason I kept playing. I love the world Palia created and I feel very attached to the mystery, the maos and characters. One thing I would really love to see improve is narrative depth and relationship progression. Sometimes huge story events happen and I feel like our character reacts very little. There are moments where I wanted more opportunities to ask questions, show fear, curiosity or suspicion, especially during major story moments. I also wish relationships felt more dynamic over time. I have a high-level romance with Hassian, and sometimes conversations feel like they forget everything we've experienced together. I would love to see characters acknowledge our shared journey more and react more to story progression.
I’m not asking for less cozy content, decorating or collecting. I would just love to see story, character development and relationships become even deeper, because those are the things that made me fall in love with Palia.

I hope someone can help me with this. I play on a PC. & No idea why but I cannot seem to take photos in the game & there is nothing on the help centre about this. I just get an error message when I try to take a photo. It shows 0/200 but there Are photos there - they show a strike through (see photo attached). The photos with the strike through are likely old photos you took before the new photo system was implemented a couple of updates ago. If you have taken new photos with the in game camera (press the K button on PC) and you don't see them in your list, you'll need to file a player support ticket for further help with your account.

I sent a ticket in & they sent a generic email back with a link to the help centre FAQ's (which had zero information). the photos shown I took a few days back when I sent the ticket in. Any photo I take gets a strike through icon & an error message comes up on screen :(

Getting more info sometimes an optional step in a quest, but its easy to miss out on. Dreamlight valley does it with dialog prompts marked as asking for background info and it'd be neat to see something like that in palia along with an easy way to reread what we've learned (the journal, diary, compendium, log, encyclopedia suggestion has been sent in a bunch, but gotta keep the dream alive)

I just need to get something off my chest quickly and ask if I'm the only one experiencing this—the game has been bothering me immensely lately. I'm a huge fan of Palia, but the bugs aren't just present; they're downright annoying.
➤ Animals—like those wolves—go flying meters into the air.
➤ NPC villagers and hunting prey get bugged into the ground, making them difficult or impossible to reach.
➤ Items disappear.
➤ My friend can't use the chat at all—neither to see nor to send messages.
➤ Animals teleport away right in the middle of a hunt.
➤ Ground and water glitches: terrain (e.g., sand and grass) glitches and flickers, while water suffers from overlapping textures or gaps.

(My personal most-hated bug):
➤ Leaving groups and parties without having pressed anything at all.
In general, the group and party system is incredibly clunky and confusing.

Go above and off center in first person edit mode (not overhead) and it'll highlight yellow. You may have to go farther above and over than you're expecting. If all else fails, check in #🏡│decor as this is a common issue.

Questions - I have hardly been on since around Christmas time. I just sometimes do a quick pop on every now and then to check out a bug or two.

I just noticed on steam that it no longer says in Early Access, But the update is only at 0.202, so that is still Clearly Not a Full Release and the game is still a giant 🍝and 🪲🐛🪲🪹.

So Why has the Early Access Label on Steam been removed?

Have they Started Using AI in Any Shape or Form in the Game?

Do they now have AI developing the games code?

Because I have seen post that I had questioned if it was actually screenshots taken recently. Because many have been of Bugs that had been fixed back in Closed Beta, around July 2023. Some during Early Open Beta around September/October.

I am starting to expect to see multiple neighbours house stacked inside of our house like a set of matryoshkas. Just like what used to happen.

Has the SpeedyGro Fertilizer Actually been fixed? Because I have found No Notification that It Has Been Fixed. Just that you can Waste your Guild Coins on it! If it has not been fixed that means it has still been broken since before it was posted on update 0.071 On Oct 23, 2023.
The funny thing is, I went to see if the Green 💚 💩 was still listed, and It was gone from the post and the one from the WIKI.

So is it actually fixed? I would think a prime product being fixed would have been Announced in big green letters... Not wiped from 2 different servers. I asked about this before.

It's actually never said early access for the game.

But even then, it's still classified (on discord, and a few posts they made on their website) that the game is in beta.

Edit: Going to edit it here, so it makes sense all together. But, I want to also mention that I wished that they had it marked as early access or that it was in beta properly on steam, and other platforms the game is on. It isn't clear at all. This was brought up in the past, when it first released on steam, and it still pops up every once in a while.

And when it comes to some bugs, it isn't always obvious when something gets fixed, unless they mention it. They don't always mention when bugs get fixed or are being worked on. (They do sometimes, but there has been times where things aren't mentioned and then the community recognizes when something is fixed, etc.)

Not sure about the fertilizer though. That isn't something I kept a lookout on or anything like that. That would be better asked over in #🌱│gardening .

And I know you're asking about AI in the game, and as far as I know, it hasn't been used. I would hope it isn't, anyway.

Afaik, it remains to be bugged but now can be obtained from horses. I got some yesterday. I still wish they'd revert back bloobs to having speed growth bonus instead.

What Gracie said, speedy grow, quality up and normal fertilizer are now products generated by horses. #🐔│ranching could help you if you want to figure how what percentage of fertilizer you get for which horse or traits etc.

there are different options to controll your horse just go to options

Cosmetics are chances, not guaranteed, when breeding or buying. You can use cookies of the day and rerolls to get what colors you'd like. Here's a chart from a player about cosmetics/etc

in the normal setteings you can even say if you horse move when you are looking on the map or when you are in the inventory. My default horse riding is with wasd so i wonder why you are moving it with your mouse

ok you cant steer the horse with the mouse but you can set the camera on the horse to Automatic camera so it will follow the horse direction mayabe that helps you a bit but steering is only with wasd or arrow up,down,left,right

I mean tbh not everyone finds controller inputs easy to navigate or may even be worse for some. The controls for the horse can be counter intuitive considering we navigate with the mouse and harder on some people for needing both mouse and keyboard input. At least having an alternative to switch between WASD controls and mouse movement would be fair for everyone. But that's just my opinion.

Everyone is different and has different preferences at the end of the day, so the game could just offer those alternatives/options for people to choose.

i got the resin in about 20-30 minutes. fwiw some people believe the ring is bugged and actually reduces your chance of rare drops so you could try taking it off if you're still trying to get it. i was using halward's blessing personally (the one that makes tools more powerful)

This is a bug. If youd like to use a different meat and dont have jaakcat, itll say "warning you dont have all ingredients, start anyway?" Just click confirm, youll be able to chop the other meats, its just a visual bug

The 3 legendary cosmetics aura, sparkles and electric do not reroll. Only the legendary cosmetics on the phoenixfire horse can be rerolled, so do be careful with that. But you can safely use reroll and oopsie cookies on the other 3 traits without risking them

The room limit is 30 per Housing Plot. The limit on rooms in a Homeline (Estate, Ancient, Alchemist) building is 10/12/14 depending on how far you’ve gotten in particular Lunar Paths.

Honey lures never worked for me. My first Rainbow was at a grove a long looooong time ago. A few months after the plushie was released I tried the jar strat. I made a bunch of buzzy jars, ripped one at 3am, ran around the south area of Bahari scaring away anything that could be scared and bug-bombing the blue butterflies. That's the only way I've EVER gotten a rainbow to spawn. I doubt I would've ever seen one again otherwise

All the rainbows I've ever caught have been by chance I think. I've never attempted the techniques, though I also just can't bother with some of them

Hold the button down, then release it when the small circle aligns in the big circle!

Use your honeylures up to 6pm! The pulse water plains "bowl" and the c7/c8 areas are very popular for RTB lures. If you want a smaller space, the hilltop just north of the bluffs fast travel (like where Hassain would stand at) is a good area for it too.

usually people like the play spam on the back 2 tables. It's where they just click through the cards as quick as possible. The regular way is actually playing the game lol

There's really only three "styles" of hotpot I've seen. Regular: taking your turn, trying to build a winning hand, not too bothered about time or speed.
Quick: the same as Regular, but more focused on faster game play.
Spam: not building a hand, drawing and discarding as quickly as possible to end the game and give everyone one coin.

The main reason folks play spam is because by playing it well, you can get 30+ wheel coins in one night, as opposed to maybe 10 with Regular or Quick.

Oh if you are still bugged by some things, there is a way that might help to give yourself a bug bath. it has worked for me since we got the Epic shop! It doesn't always work for everything, and you have to make sure that there is not a singe item of Palia remaining on your pc. So if you have any screenshots transfer them to an external. Double check for empty files that say palia etc. Appdata Then download the game from one of the other servers. Your time will reset but that should get rid of at least some of the bugs.

I have not looked at anything about the updates, I am an adventurearar. I did see we had horses and watched a bunch of members running around. I am hoping we get something like Dressage.

does anyone else feel like the lunar paths are kinda unfair for ppl who dont buy the premium path? i felt like that would be a nice chance for regular players to get premium items with regular play but instead they have to work twice as hard for half the rewards, which doesnt feel great

not really, its a pretty regular battle pass system. I do have issues with things like nameplates and fireworks/ flares being made premium instead of earnable tho, as prior to the paths they were all things you earned from in game accomplishments and/or currency

i never thought of palia as the type of game to implement a "battle pass" system though, it doesnt sit right with me. imo at the very least just have extra rewards for the paid players and dont make the unpaid players work double hard for half the rewards.

also i agree with you about the stuff that previously was able to be bought with in-game currency/accomplishments, i'm especially miffed about the new house lines being moved to the lunar paths bc it takes way longer to get them now than just saving up the gold

Palians, I need help. I have around 26k in game, and could really use some help learning how to make money. I'm not even sure what's worth keeping/selling, and I cannot afford the Palium Storage Recipe.

Personally i like to keep 3 of each really rare thing (so like, Disco Deer Antlers for example) 5 of not as rare things (regular deer antlers ) and then 30 of things like crops or other ingredients/common materials
You can store some things in your machines too, like you can just leave a stack of planks in your sawmill after theyre done, i do that pretty often

As for making money, cooking parties is a great (and imo fun) way to do it! You can either sell your food directly, or feed it to worms and then sell the extra worms and fertilizer, but that takes a lot longer

If you have hella crops but dont want to cook, you can also make preserves or seeds and sell those, someone somewhere has a really awesome spreadsheet of which crops are better for seeds or preserves in terms of selling them!

Bug parties are an excellent money maker. Especially Bahari bug parties, because you get a ton of silk from the bugs.

Sell all the bugs = nice chunk of change
Process all the silk into sheets = an even nicer chunk of change.

Also place any star quality gemstones, food, bugs and fish on one of your plots to free up some storage space until you can upgrade those chests (don't worry about decor as it doesn't take up space in storage).

Honesty, if you do the "Dailies" and claim them every day, you can blow through those paths in not time flat. It's only been 9 days and I have the new one complete.

that's basically what ive been doing, but my gripe is that i have to work thru the EXP requirements for premium rewards i wont even get in order to get to the free rewards i actually want. so it rly feels like the unpaid paths are double the work for half the rewards, instead of a neat way for free players to earn rare/premium items thru continued play. plus, the premium items offered on the paths are,,, not that good anyway

preserves are a good way and seeds too - blueberry and bean seeds are worth quite a nice sum but be sure to keep enough to grow more fruit to turn into seeds. apples = apple jam and the starred ones are worth quite nice. everything else, sell as preserves.

i also sell extra worms and fertilizer - 100 words = 500 coins.

then there is fish - mossy fin and pike earns me a nice sum too. i have been catching nothing but those since trying to get my hands on that darn mermaid.

otherwise, there are ores that you can process into bars and sell. i go hunting for silver and gold nearly every night. i process all my ores into bars, keep a few on hand and sell the extras. at one time, i had 300+ copper ores and 200+ iron ores waiting to be turned into bars.

oh, don't sell anything that is rare, epic and legendary...especially if they are starred!

Fixed - I "donated' my horses, so there was none left in collections, went back to my plot and surprisingly there was still a horse in my tool box - BUT - the right-click worked again, now can refill my watering can and change the other tools loadings.

I was just thinking.. it would be cool if palia had some sort of legendary outfits and tool skins that you could earn in game that require heavy grinding kinda like relic weapons/armor in ffxiv. Or maybe they take 1-2 months worth of dailies or something. I'm enjoying palia after not really playing since launch, but furniture isn't really enough to keep me hooked for long. It always feels good to show off your hard work in mmos, and housing kind of does that, but its instanced so people really have to go out of their way to see your plot. If housing wasn't instanced like archeage, or maybe semi instanced like wow/ffxiv housing it would feel a lot better imo. Also might be cool if they had some sort of legendary mount that you could earn through grind/time in game. These things could be added maybe once every 6 months or with new expansions so they can still make money off of store cosmetics.

The locked cosmetics aren't even very enticing imo. If we had legendary cosmetics I think they should be as good as the 3400 shop fits.

Having that extra grind would just keep people playing for longer. Especially if it's something high quality that you can show off lol

And it's not like it would keep people from buying the store cosmetics if they only release legendary cosmetics once an expansion or something.

Other mmos have thoundsands of earnable cosmetics and people still pay for cosmetics from the cash shops

My main income is from gardening. I have a layout with 5 apple trees. I turn apples into jam, then into worms and sell them. I do that with berries as well, but I keep some berry jam for feeding my animals (I sell excess milk, eggs, fish etc from ranching too). I also grow potatoes and cabbage (they give a watering effect on other plants so my whole garden doesn't need watering) and then turn them into seeds, which I sell. It's not the fastest method, but it gives you at least 20-30k every time you log in.

Well, I don't necessarily think we need to have stuff on that level available for free, but I do think that some things are overpriced (paths most notably, although I am very disappointed that they have a price on them to begin with. IMO if it's a reward we work for, then we shouldn't have to pay to get all of the rewards). On a different note, I think it'd be nice if they considered region-pricing too, since I don't think it's implemented. I have no issue buying the 850 coin packet or Zeki Club once every few months, but I just can't justify buying a 1700 coin packet (or more) when I could just buy a whole another game for that price.

But harping on the sentiment that I wish we had more unlockable content to be able to showcase character progression, or have another gold sink. Like, imagine they made one of the cheaper landscape options available for something like 500,000 gold, and also have the option to purchase with currency, if you'd like. Similarly to how League let's you unlock champions with blue essence or Riot Points. Gives players something to work towards and everyone to have a chance to have a landscape.

What I mean by money grabs is that when they introduced paths, I expected to work hard to get rewards, and I was very confused for a few days as to why I couldn't claim it, only to realize that the reward that I wanted was locked behind paywall. And now they introduced horses and you can have different breeds on a ranch, but you need a license to ride them. I mean. I'd understand if we needed a license to ride a whole different species, like a riffroc or smth, but these are all just horses (I could understand the fancy one being something from the store I guess). I'm not upset about monetization itself, but I'm upset at how I've felt deceived.

Palia updates remind me more of gacha games with less content. Gachas do make way more money though

I definitely understand that. Many of us had already suggested or foreseen the possibility of Palia having a battlepass, and some of us were excited when it was advertised/announced as a way to introduce earnable cosmetics for F2P players. But honestly, many were left disappointed with the execution and how the value is just not there. I will praise that at least they're not entirely FOMO, since they aren't on a time limit like other battlepasses. But having stuff like firework/lure recipes and palettes, make it feel cheap and even more so when they add cosmetics that are already in store and don't offer a discount for those that already own said cosmetics.

Oh yeah, I mean, I'd rather wait a month or two longer for Royal Highlands. As it is now, I already feel like I did everything that was to be done over there. I just need to do some more fishing to upgrade my relics, that's it. Elderwoods didn't come out finished either, but I feel like there was more content on release there. Royal Highlands in comparison feels very empty, and there's not even interesting species to hunt. We have a sernuk that we're all familiar with, and jaakcats that have pretty much the same mechanic as chaapa, the epic bugs (and even legendary flame queen) also feel very common

i wasnt fond of all the binnie quests showing up all at once for the horse like i know it was to have players get access to it but i feel like half of them could have been for next time, maybe have us do some collection quests like in ew with an npc for the month

I prob played myself by hurrying to get all the amber furniture but with how comparatively easy it is to get amber compared to the grind fest to get echo, I don't even feel like I need to craft and level my relics tbh.

Saying this inb4 they add more stuff to the amber shop and we have 50k amber nameplates.

I think adding more bug and fish species to both royal highlands and elderwoods would do wonders. Even after 3 years of playing, I still have a few fishes that I miss for the Kilima/Bahari achievement.

I was honestly surprised at how short the msq was over all. At launch i stopped playing at the Shepp quest, and when I came back it only took me like 6-10 hours total to get caught up and finish rh. That's over 2 years of story and it was so short. When I was doing the temple quests I thought I still had like 30 hours of story to catch up on lol

They could definitely do more with MSQ (and quests in general). I don't think it's that hard to script, so they probably feel like it's less important than developing new maps. And, I guess it is, but without quests, it's really just grinding for achievements and resources to decorate

I hope they would make the quest dialogue+ npc animations more organic. For example, a recent quest where some devastating secrets were uncovered for some NPCs, one of the NPCs had a canned animation of laughing even though the text was exactly the opposite.

And the reveal of important conclusions being a black screen feels so unfulfilling. A splash art would even work if cut scene is not with in the budget.

Added to the fact that the music doesn't either fit the quest or it's entirely off which again disrupts the immersion imo.

But if there are potentially longer quests, that means you can potentially play and explore the new map longer, so even if you log in for a few hours per week, you get more opportunities to log into the game and enjoy - be it msq continuance or a little break to do some foraging etc

Slightly a side note but something else I wish they would do is make it so all these treasure chests can be made a skin for the storage boxes. You can’t sell them, they take up space, and I feel bad just throwing them away

I don't see how that excludes more casual players. I barely play Palia nowadays but the MSQ is fast to go through, even if you are playing less than an hour a day tbh.

Many people play for the story and want to know more, or are dissapointed there isn't more progress. I'm not saying they need to make 30 hours worth of story every time, but I think Dynia was just saying they could add more worldbuilding in general.

silly question that I'm sure has already been answered, do i have to have the kitsuu lunar path activated in order to have a chance to earn kitsuu plushes from mining? Are they still obtainable via mining in general?

The path has nothing to do with the plushies, it just happens to include one of each in the premium path. The chance to get plushies from mining was added to the game, not to the path.

And the high from the new map is gone. The Highlands feels pretty empty to me and at some point I started feeling depressed while riding around it, so it really doesnt make me want to keep grinding for more stuff. I just got to craft one new room and a balcony but I dont think I will be playing more until a new story or quest release is out. Hopefully there can be more friendship quests and story to engage with soon.

We need more planting room, there is such a huge need for crops of all different types, who has a 5 acre area with 9 tiny farms on it! XD

I agree. I'd love longer quests, but I come from playing traditional RPGs like Fallout and Baldur's Gate. Every so often I see a post by someone complaining about how long quests take to do.

Yeah, the fetch quests get annoying in any game when done excessively. It's why I mentioned they don't need to have excessive hours of MSQ, just released maybe on a more constant schedule or something.

I really wish items in your inventory would be flagged with who wants them that week like… another game… does (probably in poor taste to mention it here I suppose 😂). Like I’d love an integrated way to quickly check if I have any weekly wants in my inventory so I could then check my map to see if any of those people are nearby! I do appreciate that it shows in the gifting screen for that specific NPC, but I want more 😅😂

@hollow crescent When you chat with a villager, and open the gifting window, you can see if any item you are carrying is a weekly want. A white thumbs up for a liked gift (Level 1 and 2), a heart for a loved gift (3 and 4).

I believe they will have to move over to unreal engine 5 at some point they can only go with current engine so far especially if they plan to make bahari city

Palcat is right, palia runs on UE 5 (currently 5.5.4.0). It's easily confirmed on PC (idk how to on consoles)

Regardless I think Palia's biggest limitation for Bahari City is going to be the Switch. Performance is already not great and not everyone can easily switch to a S2 or a PC.

From what I gather, the Switch 2 in docked mode is comparable to a PS4 or Xbox Series S. I don't know how other games handle cities. I agree that more optimization would be necessary.

Right, but considering one of the main appeals to a handheld device is to play on the go, that seems a bit counterintuitive. I still think the Switch release was a bit rushed and they should've held back, but here we are.

It'd also be hard to define what would exactly make a "city", but regardless they need to stabilise the game on all fronts before implementing an even larger scale map.

Iirc, Genshin Impact made the move to UE5 last year, and has some complex maps, but I don't play that game so I can't really speak on it.

Well they introduced mounts with the Royal Highlands. It only makes sense to provide us with a big map that doesn't have too much stuff in the way. Enough people struggle with controlling the horses and not crashing into everything constantly as it is.

They did reuse a few assets in RH from what I can tell. Which isn't the worst thing, but for how much it was advertised as the biggest expansion yet, I do agree it does feel like there's little variety in the new creatures. Not as bad as EW though, in my opinion.

It think it was okay. I like that the expansion of the horses was free (even though the cool ones are kind of locked behind a paywall if you wanna ride them) But, not completely necessary to purchase those separate packs that come with the coins and stuff.

The Highlands was well done not as many glitches as Elderwoods. I think the “new” bugs and sernuk are beautiful even though they’re re colors.

I appreciate how they made the ores more abundant and the brightshrooms…However, it does feel empty. If the new maps had more NPC’S like in Kilima I think that would really make it more lively,

Assuming you're talking about the community event, the multiplier is just for the event points, not for the actual amber collected.

No, all the distance you rode during the event adds up to one combined multiplier - so if you ride 500m today, and 1000m tomorrow, that'll give you a total factor of 1500. Same goes for the amber echo - 400 amber echo today, and 600 tomorrow give a total factor of 1000. If you got these meters and ambers, you'd have collected 1500*1000=1500000 event points total.

I use a steamdeck. I had to set up short cut buttons to use the chat and keyboard easily. Deleting items from my inventory and using the search function in crafting can be fiddly at times; have to use a combo of touchscreen and buttons. Otherwise its running well. Graphics look fine to me, not loads of blurring like i had on switch, loads a lot quicker and a lot less bugs. Ive not noticed much difference from using a pc graphic and loading wise.

All you need is a horse and the ability to collect amber echo. If you haven't gotten to the point in the RH story where you can get amber echo, you likely won't be able to contribute (you'll still get the rewards when it ends btw)
