There's only a few places where you cannot ride them, like the Underground, or Ormuus horn inn... as it would be pretty distracting/an issue for them to be in such a small confined space where others are.

If there's a large hitbox that prevents them glitching through walls or being summoned in small spaces, I think we'll see a return to indoor cooking parties, as lovely as outdoor kitchen setups are.
Another great option would be to allow hosts to "turn off mount summoning" on their plot.

I absolutely despise the building mechanics in this game, one because of the stupid no clipping objects unless you SPECFICALLY glitch each individual item. Not to mention how house parts are locked behind bps now (alchemists cottage) Also feel like ALL homelines should be usable on other homelines, ie alchemist on the normal house set.

it used to be super easy, at least when I played on the switch like a year ago, pressing a and b at the same time placed anything anywhere. but they patched that and after that I kinda stopped playing

for a game that kinda promotes a build your own homestead its pretty disappointing

the homelines are specifically an overhaul of/replacement for the housing system they launched with (which is why they aren't compatible) and in the June 2025 palia path video we saw tons of items in development that took months to be shipped (some we still don't have), so it both was and wasn't an afterthought - it's a fix they worked on for around a year and it did come after the fact. There's very obvious places where i wish they'd made different decisions or tested it more (this is where I just put all the pieces together and tried all the settings, so it's not cute but you can see where bits don't line up or don't work right - the dormer is floating for some reason)

Hmmm unfortuantely I think its just all luck and RNG based. I have heard there are some players that are STILL looking for one of the other pebbles the smooth shiny one. Some of these people started playing palia when it came out in open beta august 2023, and they STILL have not gotten the smooth shiny pebble. Really sorry you are experiencing this

Once again, I am posting in the hopes that the Dev over server merges will have the team add a global sync button (even with a cooldown) that is not dependent on your friend's servers. Finding a young server that is free for someone to host a party is becoming both combative and increasingly impossible with the influx of newer players. As a consequence of the server merge clock- there is now an assigned a value to servers, younger servers being more desirable than older ones - and players are fighting over those younger servers. I fear that it is damaging both the game's spirit and reputation. A fix is needed soon.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to level up that fast without purchasing the levels. Aside from what you’ve already been doing, working on your skills is the only other way to earn Lunar XP. If you have Rest XP, it will multiply the Lunar XP from skills by 10x until it is used up which can help you level faster too.

In case you need some help with getting out of there - the unstuck button rarely works to get out of the pink void, but it's worth a try. Besides that, you can use the home button on the map, a hearth potion if you have one, or you can visit a friend's plot through home tours and return home through there.

How are other people coming along with the bundles? The star quality duskwing butterfly feels impossible to complete, I have only caught one but like 7 non-star quality ones even though I've used multiple lures, constantly run around the spawn region, it's incredibly tedious 😓

Would it be possible to set it down to normal quality? Would still take me a long time but at least not forever

They should spawn at an increased rate through lures now, the devs increased the rate there a while ago. Make sure you place your lures in the Maji's Hollow area during the in-game morning or day. Personally I've done most of the board through the daily tasks, there should still be enough time to skip one or two of the bundles through those I think, though I got the duskwings through partying with others. Good luck!

That being said, in my opinion if you already own the pet, the value should be lower (and having already existing cosmetics kinda cheapens the battlepass, but thats just my personal opinion from experience with other battlepasses).

No, don't worry, you can work on any path at any stage at your leisure. They don't go away. Just click on the little lightning bolt to activate the one you want to work on. The only different one atm is the 10m anniversary one which is for 20 days. Enjoy and don't forget to keep up your focus and do your dailies, they're worth a lot of xp 😜 oh, BTW, the conservatory is level 34 Path of the Toad

Hey so I was trying to post coordinates in the game for a valuable ore and as we know the game uses a grid form of letters and numbers right? The coordinates I was trying to post were H8 but I think the game misinterpreted that as the word "hate" in slang. I did a quick google image cross reference between this "Horse AnimSet Pro" asset and the images shown of Palia horses, and honestly I don't really see the similarity

there are skill based channels under the Skill Guilds section for skill specific leveling discussion (at least up through level 50 since impact of leveling pretty much ends there) , but there's not an achievement hunter channel or game design channel

They should add fokuss food to buy :( the dish by reth is 350fokuss what r we supposed to do with that. Like I see they don’t need to give us a dish that’s full Fokus bar but at least 500+fokuss. And I’m down to pay more for it. Most dishes are for party’s or for duos, sometimes I don’t want to interact with people just to have a little bit fokuss food. And there is no recepi (at all) to do by urself that goes quick. I know the ones w the pumpkins but that’s still a lot of stuff to do alone. 🥲

Yeah it used to be 1 slot, then 2 slots and then the third slots. I remember 100% that I had to build all 3 sawmills because that makeshift then the half barrel and then the one that I have on my plot looked exactly like it in the inventory.

Is there any setting or way to flag the system as to preference for the gender-leaning of mystery outfits. The last 4 mystery outfits I have received have been super feminine, which is not how I wish to dress my avatar. It seems like there should be a way to record our preference so that the system gives higher probability to outfits that align with our preferred identity.

a good tip for the eggs is to go fish in the underground, no worms and using a major speed boos hook, the speed boost plus 5x party boost make you hook fish really fast, i did all my eggs in an evening of fishing while watching a series

You can give random premium items as gifts through the premium shop, and currently there are some other, similar random bundles as well. Those are IAPs though. The only other way I can think of would be if she requests something, and you fulfill that request. Though keep in mind you can only request 4 things a day (approximately, I haven't figured out all the details and there seems to be some kind of per-request cooldown going on so you may be able to get more in one day if you time them correctly, but that seems to require you to not have used them the previous day or something along those lines).

What's the optimal arrow to make/buy? Dispels and Elderwood are kinda expensive on my resources but Fine doesn't seem to do a lot damage to Ogopuu's

Fine does the most damage of the arrows. It takes 4, 6, and 8 respectively per tier of ogopuu. Dispels aren't great for Ogo specifically because the dispel arrow will set them into their second animation immediately, which means the player loses out on the animation switch-over to shoot at the Ogo.

I understand not swimming in the ocean lol and the water surrounding the islands but swimming in the deeper bodies KD water around the island like ponds, rivers and small lakes would be really helpful!

I think there can definitely be a good compromise. I don’t expect to swim through the ocean unless it was part of a mini game or something but for ponds and small lakes, I think it could work considering there are so many we have to cross/go around anyway. People just need to remember that limitations (if made) are there for a reason. Even in RDR2, you can swim in all bodies of water but if you swim too far or too long, you and/or your horse run out of stamina and can drown. I know Palia would avoid doing something like that as it’s meant to be a cozy and relaxing game but there are definitely ways they can make it to where the ocean is maybe only accessible by boat or something while smaller bodies of water in an enclosed part of the island can be swam in.

It would definitely be interesting to see how they could implement swimming into the game if they want to go that route in the future

Bubbled spots just mean that the fish will only be starred/you can only get starred fish from bubble spots.

Each fish has its own spawn area, time, and worm type - so you would need to look up how to find what you want. I'll attach screenshots for the Angelfish!

I think i might put in a feedback thing but does anyone else wish there was a performance mode for switch? I know performance modes on console aren't normally there since the game is supposed to be optimized for the console its on, but I feel like the online part of palia has really made it variable from person to person. I have an oled switch that lags worse than my friends switch lite on the same wifi. Like id love to be able to sacrifice moving water and higher quality textures if it meant I could talk to someone without waiting 30 seconds to a minute for them to load in all the way

We have the underground expand on it a bit more, underground and black market are shady so it could fit. Imo.

when you are fishing, make sure to reel in when the brackets are green, stopping when it is yellow or red, keep the bobber between the brackets and make sure to move your brackets side to side accordingly, you can use the fish dish buffs and hook buffs to make the reeling a bit easier

This might just be me and I apologize if this comes across poorly (I know nothing about this stuff) but in my opinion instead of body type or gender preferences that I've been seeing many players wanting in regards to the mystery outfits. I think it would be way better if players could just have the ability to create a Wishlist (or many) with it's own tab or category within the premium shop where they can add whatever they want within the shop to it. That way players would be able to keep better track of the things they want if or when something goes on sale and just in general.
And to go along with that I think it would be even better if they made a mystery gift that specifically involves the individual's Wishlisted items. It would still be considered a random mystery gift as it wouldn't just be a single category but the biggest thing is that it would be everything that the players wants.

I'm sure there are other good reasons for this, I just don't have the brain juice for it ^^;;

They probably could make you select a certain number of cosmetic items that way it’s still not a guarantee you’ll get the exact one you want, so I think it’d be a good balance that way

Honestly while the mystery gifts are a nice way to give a friend a gift for a lower price point, it's also carried quite a bit of discontent for people irl, but I also think that sadly stems from there being many more feminine cosmetics than masc ones. Which is also why simply gifting friends coins or the outfit they'd like would be better in that case (they can still keep the mystery gifting, but give players more options).

I've never bought anything on the game but I understand that. I think the mystery gift option is nice for the players that are happy to get whatever outfit but for those that have specific items they really want, being able to gift them coins or the actual item they want would be the far better option definitely.
It is unfortunate that the masc players get the short end of the stick on the cosmetics so to speak.. I had only really suggested the wishlist type of mystery gift idea because I just feel so bad for everyone that have been disappointed in the outfits they've received..

There are some more neutral outfits (for lack of a better word rn) that are nice enough, and while it's true clothes aren't gendered, people have preferences! So that'd be nice indeed (I think even if they only did it for the higher priced outfits it would be nice, and would make the price point more fair in my personal opinion).

The mystery gifts would be nice as an alternative rather than the only option for gifting tbh. It'd also be cool if we could create a wishlist like you suggested and special deals be pulled from there, similar to League of Legend's shop that picks skins from commonly played champions based on the player's champion pool.

Like there was a discussion on a fan community I'm in about if the plushie park(?) And draconic night outfits are more masc or femme. I also saw people upset they got the silly outfits like hotdog 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also Imo the game would feel a lot less queer friendly if clothes were gendered

My only suggestion is that for something like the 10mil event it was tokens or something you could redeem in the shop, maybe 2 tokens? 1 for a cheaper outfit (850-1300)and 1 for an expensive one (2000-3400) or something like that

I think the best way we could handle this would be to classify clothing as Masculine, Feminine, or Neutral and Allow people to set their clothing preferences right before they open the Mystery box. So they can choose only Masculine clothing, only Feminine clothing, only Neutral clothing or all options. It would still be Queer Friendly because its not saying Mens clothing only clothing that is more Masculine in appearance same with Feminine clothing. It also would take into account Non-binary people but that's just my opinion.

Yes, gender is subjective. However, there are clothes that definitely feel more fem or masc presenting-- granted, sometimes people may differ in opinion when it comes to that, but there definitely clothes that are more tailored towards one end of the spectrum.

(not saying this is what youre saying btw!)-- but, I don't think there'd be an issue with the mystery outfit to choose Fem/Masc/Androgynous-- considering, the game already lets both body types wear whatever. It'd just be nice for some folks to get one that's more tailored towards 1 or the other (or both)-- esp since it can cause dysphoria.

(That said, considering how few masc-presenting outfits there are... I don't see them doing this, because it would have people get the ones they want way easier compared to having the full pool of outfits.)

However, another alternative they could do, is do a outfit/clothing... type? Not sure how to word it. Choose if you would prefer pants, skirts or dresses. That way it wouldn't exactly be "gendered" or showing if theyre masc or fem presenting, but at least can help tailor towards those preferences.

I'm nonbinary. I go by whatever pronoun, I genuinely dont' care. However, I do flip flop when ti comes to "masc" or "fem" presenting outfits, and what I tend to avoid the most, is dresses. (Skirts can be okay, but 90% of dresses is a no for me). So, it'd at least be nice to be able to turn off, "hey, i don't really want any dresses or anything super flowy. That'd be great.", beacuse it does make me feel... kinda icky.

Something that that bothers me is that the only houses that have any kind of confirmed restroom is Tamala's and The Daiya family farm and even then its only in Badruus and Delila's bedroom. Like Eshe and Kenli's mannor has a room you can't enter and so do the mayor hall but all other building don't have a bathroom at all. Not even a toilet. it's so bizarre because like why only two buildings?

Okay as much as I love Palia it's not like the first 3 huntable animals were that impressive. It was literally Wolf, antelope, Beaver but with 2 bottom fangs instead of 2 big front teeth. Kitsuu are just Foxes with Antlers and an extra tail. I mean even their names are just shortened for the Japanese word for fox Kitsune. I think with The elderwoods Expantion thats when we got the Really out there animals to be honest.

So what I think is happening is that there unlike other areas The elderwoods saltwater only has 1 common fish and 1 uncommon fish to pick from in the RNG for glow worms unlike any other area so the rate is unbalanced as a result.

The only time I've had issues like that is when I tried to pin a daily quest and removing the pin fixed the issue immediately.

If not, I hope they fix the issue for you, the stuttering is really annoying and makes the game super difficult to play!

When I concentrate on Maws, I can usually get 4-6 in an hour. If the hooked fish isn't Maws, I don't reel it in, and then recast, so I don't use anytime on reeling in unwanted fish. In a weekend, I've pulled in upwards of 15 Maws on just Saturday and Sunday.

I read a lot about people catching maws on the reddit, and it seems to be pretty common that... some people will spend weeks trying to catch them, and some get them within 10 casts.

I've seen tips about upping your odds, but I think some people are just lucky.

I think what gracie is trying to point out is both the sharks look very similar as well.... They have the same model + ew is dark and has a purple tint over everything+ waters are murky.
Also non colour calibrated monitors and colour blindness exist. So telling stuff apart can be hard

Its probably an accessibility issue but also ik people who have been SOOO happy that they randomly got a maws and didn't realise lol
